from what i have read, NO

That's actually one of the things keeping us from running O2x ROMs on the G2x

Nope. Device drivers are not the same due to baseband chips being different and memory partitioned differently.

You have to flash a kernel that supports overclocking if you want to overclock.

It depends in device I think. I remember you from Evo forums. CM kernal for Evo supported mild OC, thanks to Toast. But Nexus CM kernal hasn't OC. Maybe that is what you were remembering.

You are probably right. I thought I had tried it once I flashed cm7 but I may have already flashed netarchy. Not missing my EVO at all. The slightly smaller keyboard is taking some time to get used to though. Thanks for the clarification Matt.

Porting stock O2x firmware to G2x

Is there anyone that is interested in doing this.. personally I kinda like all the bloat?
Sent from my LG-P999 using xda premium
I think Developers have attempted to port O2x but weren't able to because of the baseband issues
Sent from my LG-P999 using xda premium
Were they able to get it too boot?

The O2X firmware has been ported to the G2X but the file system layout is different. The baseband for the O2X is totally unusable with the G2X and will screw up the G2X seriously.

I dont think LG Camera has been ported to ICS. To my knowledge i think it only works on FROYO and on Gingerbread with some bugs on the front facing camera.

Porting SU660 ICS Rom to P999

It is possible, but its a challenging task.
We have the ics rom
http://csmg.lgmobile.com:9002/swdata/RNDTESTSW/LGSU660/SKT/V30a_00/V30A_00.kdz
And the kernel source
http://www.lg.com/global/support/opensource/opensource-detail.jsp?detailCustomerModelCode=LGSU660
Now its just Portting it to our P999 phone.

I'm so excited, I think I poo'd a little. Good luck to all the devs on this. When we get a fully functional ICS ROM (hardware acceleration and all), it'll be a happy day for all G2x modders.

We'll have to wait for cm10 to get released then. I think that's the only way to get an almost fully working Jellybean build.
