[Q] - General Questions and Answers

I have uninstall some of the default apps in my samsung galaxy i9001 and mistakenly delete the back up using titanium backup How can i reinstall those apps??? Thanks a lot!!!!!!!!!

You can do a nandroid backup of the ROM you are on now. Then you can revert to a previous nandroid backup that contains the apps you want and save them in Titanium Backup. If you don't have a nandroid backup, you can revert back to stock, re root the phone, save the backups in Titanium and then go to your new backup.

thanks for your reply
could you teach me step by step how to do nandroid backup...how to revert etc?? >< i'm new to the android system n so pissed off...sorry for inconvenience caused((

[Q] Backup Assistance

Real noob question here, how do I run a successful backup and restore after I used cwm to flash TnT Lite onto my gtablet. First time I did it, I backed up everything using titanium backup but upon returning to the newly flashed device I couldn't restore all of the applications and settings I backed up previously, I want to flash to 3.1.4 but I fear losing everything, again...
Help greatly appreciated!!!!
You should make 2 backups, one in clockworkmod under "backup and restore" and one in titanium backup for your apps and system data. After making those 2 backups, copy them over to your pc to be safe. Clockworkmod backup is in the .\clockworkmod\backups\[date backup was made) folder. Titanium backup is in the .\TitaniumBackup folder.
but how do I make get all my apps and settings restored...? I have the backups, but how do I restore them, do I do it through cmw??
From a fresh ROM install, install Titanium Backup. Within Titanium backup, go to the Backup/Restore tab, then press the menu button, select Batch, then you will have options to restore your apps and settings.
It has been recommended by the devs to not restore anything but your apps and their data. Don't restore system data from another rom.

[Q] Backing out of a ROM

Once I root my phone (Vibrant) can I backup the internal HD to my Mac and restore it later after applying a custom ROM to restore it to bring it back to the original boot?
You can back it up with ROM manager or use Nandroid

Or if you just want to backup the apps and settings, use Titanium Backup.

Removing Titanium Backup Data

I made a backup using Titanium Backup and then flashed a new rom and got everything the way i want it

Or will creating a new backup overwrite that one?

How to restore contacts from Titanium Backup

Hi guys,
I've made on my previous phone Samsung Galaxy S II a full backup with titanium backup. Now, I have One S (s4) and I want to restore my contacts. It doesn't work with old fashion way (by entering in titanium backup and restoring everything). Can you help me out with this? There is a way to find the contacts in the titanium backup folder and add them manually in the last case?

[Completed] can i restore my apps only from cwm backup?

i have a cwm backup and want to restore apps from it . ant way to do it?
Hi,
If your cwm version has an option to restore data partition only... That can work. But, I've read many issues from people trying to do this. Using Titanium backup to backup your apps and data is by far the better way.
You could restore your full backup. Get titanium backup and backup your apps and data. Then flash a new rom and get titanium backup again and restore your user apps.
That's the best and most popular way. ?
Good luck!
