Hey fellow xdaers i have three phones, a Nexus S the led screen is cracked but i have to replace the whole screen since the display is fused with the digitalizer, Has anybody done this job? The screen on my LG thrill is cracked but still works just the cracks are annoying, has anybody done this fix i could not figure it out,, Last but not least my Evo has a cracked screen idk if its worth fixing,, suggestions?? Or msybe somebody wants to buy them??

My HTC ARIA's touch screen is not working in just one particular area!! I recently had to change my screen due to the original breaking a few weeks ago. the only reason i can think for this happening is the screen switch, the only problem is that i didn't take it to at&t i bought the screen in amazon and had my brother replace it for me so i can't take it in. So I broke the top screen on my SGS2 LTE SGH-I727R (ROGERS)! the Touch screen works and so the display!
First, I'm looking for screen replacement but all I get is replacements for SkyRocket with AT&T logo on them! Please anyone has a reference?
Second, I'm not sure of what I should repair! available screen naming varies with titles that include Digitizer, touch screen, top glass screen, full LCD screen. I'm confused whether to replace whole screen!

I did the same thing to my phone this past weekend. The screen underneath looks fine, only the top glass is cracked but the phone is still fully functional. I have this exact thread in the Q&A section. After reading/searching, we need the touch panel aka digitizer - see this link for an explanation (we don't need the LCD, which is the expensive part!):

I've only had my LTE for about a week..but i was wondering if you had luck changing just the glass, or if it's impossible (as a lot of videos out there lead me to believe?).
I also have the skyrocket..no gorilla glass....

Did anyone ever find a resolution to this? I'm only able to find i727 replacement parts and it is my understanding that the i727r is a different size device..
dear all, i dropped my phone and it hit some edges. now it had a dot crack almost half a centimeter....
the screen still working properly just that theres a crack.
this means only the gorilla glass is faulty or the display screen as well??
anyone can help?
Ok well if u had done a little research u would've found out u need a new digitizer ive fixed a couple in the past and u can do it urself and save a lot of money just go to youtube and search for htc sensation digitizer replacement and u will see how easy it is.... you just need a digitizer not the lcd if u plan on fixing it

my screen also cracked and after some searches i found out that you should replace the lcd screen and the glass
if you will replace only the tought glass 90% that it wont be the same as it was before , alot of delays and problems will appear
just replace them both by following youtube guide

my phone still cracked because i read that many replacment successed but there was delay problems and unfixable stuff that would ruin the phone
the thing you should do for replace the phone screen is to replace both digitaizer and the lcd layers.
for those who replaced only digitaizer sufferd from display issues , delays and unresponsive screen
Put new digitizer on LG G2 old one had no display at all. Put it on and now on start up LG screen it has verticle white lines. On actual screen the touch works but display is foggy(especially on bottom) and very sensitive typing. From reading on here appears to be software issue maybe? Not recognizing LCD? Do I need a kernel download? This is not my phone so don't want to do anymore than I have to get working. It is running original software that came with phone. It is AT&T. Honestly most of what I've read is way over my head. Laymen terms would be good. Thanks in advance.
