Is there a file I can delete to permanently delete the top action bar in ADW instead of always putting that toggle on my screen?

I want only two icons for my dockbar with the icons being on the opposite corners. To do this, I need to set dock icons to 5 inorder to add icons to both sides. Unlike launcher pro,adw has a weird + icon to indicate nothing is assigned to that dock column. I jus want to make it transparent. Any way to do this? Thanks in advance
You have to make a shortcut to something. In desktop visualizer you can choose to "do nothing", but I think this may only be possible for widgets, not shortcuts. Just get a transparent icon and use as the icon. You can change the icon by long pressing on the shortcut on the dock then tapping the icon to change it.

Thanks for the quick reply. Is there a way I can create a shortcut to do nothing?
Long press & select custom shortcut. Under activities choose desktop visualizer. At the bottom choose none (empty activity) or something like that. Then change to a transparent icon.
Of course you have to have it installed to do this, but it'll work

Desktop VisualizeR can help you to creat a shortcut to do nothing, but you can't drag it to the dockbar.
any way to set it to always show the url bar? its infuriating to have to click or scroll to get to bookmarks!

Not sure about that but if you turn on the Quick Controls in the Labs settings it's just a swipe away rather than scrolling up.
I have CM7 on my inspire and i put Newsweek Mobile widget on my homescreen and I expanded it to fit the whole screen, but now I can't remove it. I long-press the widget and a trashcan shows up, but i can't move it into the trashcan. The widget doesn't get highlighted or anything. I uninstalled the app because I thought that would help but now there's just a "problem loading widget" thing on the screen and the same problem occurs. Is there any way to remove a widget from the backend?

long press and release, a pop up menu should slide in with a "remove" option on it. i assume you are using the stock launcher ADW which comes with cyan 7.
Do you have lock background on?

I'm using launcher pro plus. The long press thing doesn't work. And what do you mean a lock background?

This can be closed. I figured it out. I changed the number of rows in Launcher Pro Plus to 8, then I was able to long-press the widget and drag it to the trashcan. Then I just changed my rows back to 5.
I just switched from Apex Launcher to ADW Ex so I could do hubs. I can't seem to figure out how to hide the status/action bar at the top. It is the blue line with the menu icon.
I tried the hide status bar option in ADW Ex Settings as well as creating a laucher action on the desktop for show/hide status bar. Neither one will work.
Someone please help this is driving me crazy.
i have used adw pro with hubs for a while now, all is cool but i haven't found a way of lossing the blue line. what i've done is include the battery app at the bottom so it balances it out
and if you try to forget about the fact you can not get rid of the blue line its not too bad. lol (it's just the fact you can't remove it when everything else is customizable, that screws with your head).

"Find" an adw version 1.3.3.1..then place that launcher action show/hide status icon on the desktop. Works perfect..and never update. I've tried every way short of cursing anders to his face to get that blue bar off of my screen with the updated version and I seriously think there is no effing way it can be done. If you can't find the Apk ..pm me. I'll see what I can do

You could try hard hubs.
I know it's possible to deactivate buttons but can I hide it?
ADW Launcher supports hiding the system bar, either by icon or a gesture of your choice.
The other launchers I don't know, trebuchet does not...

Trebuchet does support hidden notification bar, but I cannot figure how to show it.
