Hey all, I am trying to mod and create a skin, but every time I try and put an icon with a transparant background on, it will simply turn pink. So instead of the icon looking nice and cut out there is a small pink box around it (much like when you have an icon with a white background and try to put it on black, you will see the annoying white box)
Any help would be much appreciated,

Does anyone know how to make the menu bar on the today screen a solid color instead of the gradient from top to bottom or a fade from white to a chosen color? I tried playing with base hue and my theme xml but cannot find anything to make it solid.

Hello, hopefully this easy an easy question but I just rooted and installed CM6 last night, loving Chrome to Phone and some of the other froyo goodness. Just not feeling the off white status bar/ notifications area. Is there a simple way to change this, not really interested in a full theme with icons and all that if it isnt necessary.

If you just want a solid black background, go to Settings>CyanogenMod settings>User Interface>Notifications colors and scroll down to "Custom notification bar". From there you can choose any color you want. It may require a reboot to take effect.

I've tried this, set it for black and rebooted, but the status bar is still white. The Bar Color setting shows a solid black circle in the middle with a hex value of #ff00000, but the status bar is still black characters on a white bar. Am I doing this wrong?
Black is
#000000
White is
#ffffff
what you posted above is nothing.... but you might have typed a few too many 0 on it... if so then ff0000 is red.
Black bar and Sense Icons

After you get hte color you want you have to press the cirle in the center, if you hit back it wont apply. but it will remember hte selection you made. I had that same problem

Im doing a port of a theme http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1282585 and I got mostly everything over BUT I cant seem to change the status bar image. I replaced statusbar_background.9 but when I reboot my phone the status bar is still black.

But the status bar in that theme IS black.....

Lol that thread I linked you too is my other thread and how it currently looks now. I want to change that black statusbar.
how can i make the nav bar transparent on sgt7 twa mod. i am getting what appears to be a burn in from the black bar. and i think a more transparent bar would help reduce that.
