Some might work, many not, since they're probably dependant on framework.
Most of them wont work because we do not have the ICS 4.0 framework.

Dropping the source into AOSP is what will kick off development of 'proper' roms but we may see some based on the SDK sooner. They will probably not be very stable but nice to get early hand on ICS though.
Most of them come out with a parse error!
The only 2 that worked was Maps.apk 5.10.2 and Street.apk 1.7.0.4
Hoped that the voice search would have worked (not that I really use it ... wanted to see if there was some improvement, given the competition), but that was not to be
Genie widget also works
Havin at least the gallery working would be a great start...

G2 definitely doesn't have the framework but somehow they got it $cries$

does anyone know if any of our awesome devs are working on compiling a ROM together?
Dev's cant work on a legal ROM until AOSP source for ICS is released. Everyone said it will be released, but it's a matter of time. In the meantime, someone may reverse engineer the system dump but the legality is questionable.
I will be picking through the system dump for the next couple days to see what will work in the Nexus S

Its from MIUI.com
MIUI.US only has modified versions but the Chinese website has a English /Chinese version that changes language based on the device default language.
It takes hours to download from the US. I was a official tester for the earlier builds but got tired of downloading these files that take hours to download

Hello.
I just deodex & Zipaligne all .apk's and framework's.
This is not a full rom, it will install and replace only your system/app and system/framework folder's so you will be deodexed after that.
PLEASE BACKUP YOUR ROM WITH CWM BEFORE TRY THAT!!
IT IS UNTESTED BECAUSE I DONT OWN THE DEVICE YET!!
It is only for GT-I9305 with XXALI5.
Steps:
1). Install CWM recovery.
2). Copy the Deodexed_I9305_XXALI5.zip to your ExtStorage or Internal and boot to CWM and flash it.
Please reply back if all is working then i will start to mod some think's. (Like phone recording etc....)
Also if you have a newer generic firmware reply back with a link.
EDIT: XXALI5-CallRecording uploaded. (Install it via CWM)
You can use it also with odexed firmware's. (Please reply also if all is ok)
Thank's
Nice good to see people/starting to play with this one

Soon as I get mine I will this week should be getting it. Mick is gone on holidays till the end of the month but he said his going to work on compiling a new kernel to support Fm radio . That way people will be able to download spirit fm and it should work on a rooted i9305. These fones do have the hardware. I don't know Maybe you can beet him to it since you know your way around android or give him a hand when his back. When I get my fone I am going to try make sure it has the firmware with fm support that way we can get a nanroid and creat our own firmware . I'm willing to help with what ever for now so feel free to msg me

I will be doing that tonight with the HK shipped ROM as well. I'll let you know my findings.
Sent from my GT-I9305
tonight i will go home try deodex again and if the camera fc , i can try to use your camera.apk with note ii gallery
I have a question I want to try this, But I have deleted some of my un-used system apps, now is this going to be a problem as this flash will try to look for apps that are not there, please let me know if it will be ok and how it actually works
i think the bat will only look for apk that is available at that moment with a loop script..doesnt matter if u have your stock apk there or not..
should be *.odex that script will look for
Can someone confirm this? Or are you very sure Prodigiez? this is my gem i have to look after it hehe

Hey everyone,
I am noticing a paucity of ROMs for the pixel (only the WETA and dirty unicorns) so far. Somewhat surprising for a stock android device. Is there a reason for that?
Is modding and tinkering starting to die for android?

I don't think so, I think it has to do with partitioning, it is very different than what people are used to, give it some time, I am sure Pure Nexus will release one when ready and when TWRP, su are a little more stable

As soon as gapps are fixed for Pixels we will see ROMs. In fact a bunch of them are ready but waiting for this.

pure nexus is in the works. I believe the slow down is the price, partitioning and the death of cm. devs have to use a new base.

Some part of it is absolutely GAPPS. DU has it built in rn because there is no flashable GAPPS. This issue though is tied in with the partition scheme I believe.

Cyanogen is dead, not the source. The code has been forked and devs need time now...
Read here:

Yea idk why people think CM is dead. Just getting back up and running on new servers under a different name..
Ask and you shall receive. The post promoting Carbon ROM just showed up, with warning about gApps issues.. Available for download soon. I've always liked this ROM.
Edited 1/1/17: ROM currently has issues with gApps (as in none available yet). Also has issues with slot system. Hang tight!
So I know this thread is 6 weeks old, but there are a good number of ROMs and kernels available now.
I personally recommend PureNexus. I've been using Beanstown106's ROMS since I had a S3, he does great work. I've also just installed ElementalX kernel, which is supposed to be a very battery friendly kernel.
Happy flashing!
I have a510f 6.o.1 which xposed framework should i installed guide please

Going to close this up since the original developer has stated they will no longer continue to mod new versions.
Honestly if you're looking to use remote play you still have the PSP and PC options at this point.
So I was able to finally get something to port to this darn phone. Thanks again to the ArchiKitchen. Everything that I tested worked with the rom except for the Hot Knot function and Camera. Now matter what I switched it would still not work. I encourage anyone that still has the phone, please see if maybe you can figure something out as i continue to try myself.
ROM: UMICUBE
use it
Just patch it thru twrp 3.0.2. and have a one question what`s the need to use stock android 4.4.4 rom, if we usually have it. What do you want to do with it? And another one it hasn`t support ntfs yet?:silly:
