I was disappointed to find out that I couldn't use the keyboard dock to control any of the Android games, the arrow keys would definitely be useful in the driving games (bang bang racing, t-racer) and in the RPG games such as Pocket Legends. Anyone know if this is possible in any way?

You should contact the developers of this games.
this are the games that i have that support the keyboard:
reckless racing, pewpew, switch, cordy , riptide, cars and guns
Somebody know some more games?

if you don't mind me asking why were you disappointed? Did you buy the tf thinking you got a laptop? Did you not consider that this is the only android device that has a keyboard and that development have had no incentive at all to build in KB support?
well using a keyboard as a game controller is fair enough expectation.

The keyboard works very well with Gameboid and other emulators.
Hopefully morexapp developers will jump on board with using alternate input methods

Just to be technical: there are Android devices with a "Keyboard". The Motorolla Droid and most sequals, my mother's Motorolla Charm, the T-Mobile MyTouch 3G Slide (and 4G Slide). I think even the G1 had a keyboard. To apps it should be the same thing as our dock.
But as GI points out, it's not a laptop--in practice everyone develops their stuff for a TOUCH SCREEN! That's the Lowest Common Denominator among Android devices and one you absolutely must have, keyboard support is just a really cool plus for the occasional freak.

riptide shine runner emulators
You seem like you're looking for a laptop, not an android tablet with a keyboard dock.
But yes, developers should consider slide out keyboards and docks as they are gaining in popularity.

Ok.. so right now gameloft is offering games for 99 cents. The only way to get this deal is by following this link.
I guess I can't post the link.. head over to droid life to find the link...
However, you can only do this on your device. When I click on the link from my transformer it my device is not compatible with any games. How can I make GameLoft think I have a Xoom or something like that?
I have tried changing the device type but I loose the special pricing.
Any ideas?

Ok, great! So how does one trick the site from your tablet?
Gameloft for Android devices is so frustrating. I WANT to give them my money, but there are so many issues with purchasing and using their games on android devices. When they had a sale on ipad games the other day, I picked up a whole bunch because I knew there wouldn't be any problems.
Sent from my Transformer TF101 using Tapatalk
Yeah it is kind of irritating for me as well. I have a the Transformer and I have a captivate (running cyanogenmod 7) and I can't download anything from their mobile store to get the .99 games they were offering.
Seriously frustrating. I want to spend money with them but can't. I have a tablet and a phone that both have virtually the same hardware and os as other phone/tablets that can be used to purchase and download games. What is the deal with that?
Look on the XDA Nook Color - Apps forum (Gameloft). There's a post on how to configure to buy on Gameloft.
It seems that you can choose India / Other telco and select Acer Iconia A500 and it will let you download games for your TF.
Asphalt 6HD works, Starfront Collision does not. Its a mixed bag at best.
Gameloft should get smart and get these on the Google Market. They'd make some SERIOUS money. I think they're telco agreements are locking them out for now.
Can anyone advice me in what are the best tegra games for this tablet?
Sent from my Transformer TF101 using xda premium
Anyone that suits your gaming needs really. They're all optumised for Tegra. Just download the Tegrazone app and take your pick. There's still not that many games available though.
Wait for shadow gun, coming out on october. Or Rip tide GP, hands down best graphics so far.

Galaxy on Fire 2 is very good and very deep. If you like Elite-type games, it's a must buy. It's also a lot of fun if you just look at it as a 3d space shooter as there are lots of different weapons available. Finally, it is very pretty too.
If you're purely looking for impressive graphics, Riptide HD is probably the best.

Hard to take a space game without even the buttons to control start and stop of the ship, let alone speed, seriously.

That seems an arbitrary choice for what you take seriously. I'm now waiting for someone to come on here and say, "I can't take a space game seriously unless I am guaranteed to die and be buried decades before my virtual space ship completes its journey between two star systems".

Well, if you bought the transformer believing it's a game console, it is not, although there are some very cool games available and more coming. Check out Shadowgun, Samurai II: Vengeance, Need for speed, Galaxy on Fire 2,... All of those are legally available for the TF on the market (Galaxy on Fire 2 is free, the others are paid AFAIK). Look for an app called Tegra Zone, there are games designed for nVidia Tegra (the chipset in the transformer).
If you like old point&click adventure games, look for ScummVM. If you liked Tranport Tycoon, there's OpenTTD. And there are more, just browse the market or UTFG (Use The F*****g Google)

Is there any release date for dead space for the asus transformer?

Congratulations. You're ability to use language that is not needed and your lack of respect for other members has gotten your thread closed.
i know there are many threads about gameboy emulators. But i wanted to start a thread about a gba emulator that can emulate linkcable. I heard of nes emulators that can usw multiplayer per BT/wifi (don#t know how it works). If there is anybody who can create a gba emulator that can emulate a linkcable i would also pay for it or credit him per paypal. i think many people would do the same and are interested in this.

I think I read somewhere that link cable support for gba is just not feasible/possible due to the way it works. It was coming from an actual developer, which is why I stopped looking for this entirely. I'd love to be proven wrong, though.
I think he mentioned that there are megabytes of data almost randomly transferred at any moment in time and there's little to no latency allowed. So it's very unlikely that this will be supported anytime soon
From what I gathered, a link cable session is something entirely different from a multiplayer game with multiple controllers plugged into the console. In the latter case you essentially just push the input values over the net and accept what little latency there is. In case of the link cable, whole portions of the game rom are transferred and everything has to be in tight sync.
But... I'm just talking out of my ass. I remember this from back when I was looking for this precise feature. It might or might not be true.

Honestly wireless communication should be possible but may vary depending on device hardware. The PSP has a gba emu and a sneak one that supports wireless linking. It Even has an adhoc file stranger program to send files to other psps via adhoc to each other which also would be great for our phones. What wee really need is for someone to start porting this kind of stuff. It is possible just not reallly attempted.

If you look on the computer side of things, linkcable supporting GBA emus aren't really polished and it took a big while before they were even available/working. While I don't know the specifics myself of linkcable sessions, I'd back you up with what you said which is pretty much what I read myself.
