Anyone know how to do this in the default email. My vibrant had a way, but I can't seem to find one here. Thanks!
When you open your email you don't have check boxes next to each email?

sender, time/date

I've been reading that there's no way. I went to the amazon app store and bought enhanced email. It's working great!
Turn on batch mode if there is an option. I only use Gmail, so I can't speak for the Email app.

I believe you can blacklist them temporarily. Its in the edit contacts form. Hope this helps.

Add the number as a unique contact and then edit the contact where you would change the ringtone, in there is an option to send it to voicemail. At least on AOSP, dunno for other skins.
Or if you want to do it in a more complicated way...
Try Tasker, that will let you blacklist people, depending on your location, the time of the day etc etc
You'd think this would be a built in feature...I have a group of people I need to email on a regular basis, but the only way I can do it in the gmail app is by "Reply All" to a previous email and delete all the old email/subject...
Why in heaven's name can't I easily email multiple people from the app? I can do it online on my laptop...am I missing something here, or is this just a glaring oversight on Google's part?
Really? Nobody knows this?

Oversight.
Best suggestion, as you've already figured out, is save a draft with the contact info.
AMAZING

That seems like a pretty big oversight...what a bunch of goons. Thanks.

Ha, that's a very good point that I had forgotten...
Nothing chaps my ass more than little **** like that that's forgotten/omitted.
A year later, and those fools still haven't updated the app so users can send emails to distribution lists they've setup. Jerks.
A working solution
This method was described somewhere on these forums, and it works. I am just repeating what someone else discovered.
Make a new contact, using a name which is meaningful to you.
For the email address, build a list of the emails for everyone in the group, using this pattern:
[email protected]>,<[email protected]>,<[email protected]>,<[email protected]
NOTE the >,< between each contact, but nothing before the first email in the list, and nothing after the final email in the list.
This works around the missing group function.
Download and use ContactGroupU from the Google Play store.
on your computer go to gmail and add those contacts in some group and call it something for example "912dd" and go on the app and in the "To:" Area start typing the name "912dd" and select it when it shows up
I've been searching for a few days now with no luck. I'm looking for a Phone app that has your sms inbox included.
Ultimately I'd wish for the default Android Phone app, axe the "Favorites" tab and replace said tab with a shortcut to your SMS inbox.
Are there any apps out there that do something similarly? My reason for looking is purely for screen space efficiency though an all-in-one app seems like a good idea for consolidation since both functions use your carrier's cell service regardless...
Please & thanks for any suggestions.

Hello all,
I'm having trouble finding a good e-mail app that does what I want it to do, and I haven't had any luck in searching these forums for a while.
The only thing I'm looking for is an e-mail app that can sort e-mail by Sender. I can make do with anything else, that is my only preference.
My e-mail app on the S3 used to do it. I'm not on the S5, and its app does not. I know the Gmail doesn't since I tried it before on the S3 and it never did so I didn't use it.
I have also tried myMail and Cloud Magic, it doesn't appear that either of them has this functionality.
Can anybody point me towards an e-mail app that I'm looking for?
Thanks!
Have you tried Inbox my GMail? or MailBox by DropBox? If so, try using maildroid and use the search function so that you can easily find the sender by their name or e-mail

I just downloaded and tried them. Both Inbox by Gmail and Mailbox by Dropbox look like basically G-mail only accounts (I'm working with a non-gmail account).
I also came across LightMail and gave that a try, but no go.
I know I can use the search function in any of the apps, but it's not that I'm looking for a particular e-mail or sender, but that I deal with bulk hundreds of e-mails by sender, and prefer to work through a sorted list so I can go from one to the other. Searching requires me knowing everybody who has sent me e-mails, which is the point of why I sort by sender.
Any additional help is appreciated, thanks!
WeMail is by far the best app to do this.
Quite a few years ago I used a default emailing app that came with my phone. (Could've been Samsung Galaxy S3 or S4...can't remember). The thing I really enjoyed was the ability to set a time when you wanted an email to be sent.
I haven't found anything like it since so was hoping XDA folks could recommend an email app that allows me to have multiple accounts on the app and whereby I can choose the date and time those emails get sent.
(Currently using TypeApp on my Android phone but that doesn't have the ability to schedule sending).
Thanks for any help/suggestions.

Try this

Or, do a Google search for:
"How to schedule email on android"

Thanks for the suggestion. I've tried Boomerang before but it doesn't work for personal emails hosted on own domains. Seems that it only works with Gmail and Exchange type set ups.
Also, the fact that it is a separate app from Gmail defeats the purpose of using it with Gmail.
Having one app that I can do all my emails is the preferable route.

I searched for you and found others that also wanted it certain ways but in all cases they never found a solution, all they got was a suggestion to use boomerang.
You can probably try using google assistant or some other assistant type app along with your calender app or even Tasker to get this to work however choose. Other than those options, I don't know what else to say, maybe someone else has other suggestions.

Way back, I tried backing up that Samsung built-in email app and restoring it with Titanium Backup but I don't remember having any luck with going that route.
I use Handcent Next SMS as my go to app for sending texts because it can schedule sending e.g. yearly, monthly etc. Great for when you send someone a birthday text overseas and you're still sleeping. :good:
Now if only these SMS apps can figure out how old the person is from contact information and the message wished them a happy 39th birthday instead of just saying happy birthday.
I'm surprised there aren't a bunch of these scheduled type apps as it's so handy to schedule a message ahead of time e.g. for someone's birthday.

You could always try porting that app to work with what you have now or get someone else to do it.

I don't remember what phone it was on but could try and find out.
How would I go about porting the app to work or is there a forum to ask someone to do it.
If I remember correctly, I was rooted at that time so could hopefully copy the APK but not sure if there were any other linking files to copy with it.
Thanks.

I don't know what you need to port the app, I'm just saying it can be done if you prefer to use that app. Porting that app seems to be the most likely solution to what you're looking for. There doesn't seem to be any other options that will work in the manner you want or with just one app like you want.
