As title says, I am unable to send/receive attachments as all my outgoing hang at "sending" and I receive no notifications for incoming.
This makes me sad
Anyone else having this issue?

I wouldn't call it a sidekick 4g bug if your using the asop messaging app thats avail for that rom. I had the same bug so i went an dug up the stock sk4g messaging app (search for it in gingerclone v2) an i can send an receive attachments again though the smiley button doesn't work though it didn't work with the stock app either.

Since rooting my phone, I uninstalled the pre loaded messaging and replaced it with handcent sms so I could then group text.
But I cannot send or receive MMS ?
Can someone plz advise me of an app which can receive mms as a standalone or an app which will allow me to group text sms and send/receive MMS.

I ran into this myself, I had to repair using sepc companion, disable the auto recieve and notifications on the default messenger,

hi. i used the universal anderoot app to root my x10. 1st time of trying to send mms and won't work. it appears to try and send and if i left it it would prob go on forever. unrooted phone and still does't work. i have installed handsent but never unstalled original messsging. so if anyone can help that would be great.
I recently downloaded handcent to replace the stock messaging app and I like it a lot, the only problem is that when I try to send a picture message, it only shows that I sent one, but the person receiving it gets the same picture two or three times and I'm not sure what the problem is. Any advice?
Use the regular messaging app to send an MMS
Ya even before I knew about that problem I sent pictures throw the default messenger.

have noticed problems when trying to send mms, usually says sending for a while then will go through. at first they didnt work at all and had to call t-mo which they "reset' my data plan....any way they work but very very slow.
slide shows not sending at all!! got one thats been sending since yesterday! wtf? anyone else notice problems with mms?? phone is rooted but no difference in before or after.

I had this issue too, using gosms, I switched to manual mms settings mode and input the server address / port and it works

I have noticed that if im on wifi go sms wont work right. As soon as I turn off wifi no problem (You cant send mms via wifi). The default app seems to trun off wifi briefly while it sends out mms. So I either turn of wifi when sending mms with go sms or just use the default app to send my mms.

i have a question too i have not seen this posted anywhere but its been that for a while now every phone i get cant play mms that move. example my son send me a mms of obama dancing the doogie and it worked fine on his phone but on mine its just a still picture with song no movement of obama.. can any one tell me if ther is a way to fix that so it can play those type of mms. on my tmobile lg g2x
Everyone once in a while, I'll be unable to send messages out and I'll notice that I'm not receiving any. Is this related to the issue where people are not receiving phone calls on the Mes I've heard about? Once I reboot, it seems to work again but then the cycle repeats.

Did you check your contacts numbers? If there is a + sign in front, it can cause issues

Also do you have MMS? If you're SMS app is set to convert long SMS to MMS and you don't have MMS, you'll run into problems.
nope. no + in my phone numbers and no, the messages arent long. I do have unlimited MMS to so it shouldnt matter anyways.
Have you tried a different SMS app such as GO SMS or Handcent?
I'm not seeing any of the messages I send in the sms app. The person will receive them but it's not showing up in my sms app.
I can also receive messages just fine
This happened after restarting my phone then going to sleep.
