Hello members,
I have a strange issue with BRK's Toolkit when I want to root a B60 Transformer.
APX is recodnized, but when I click on the Backup up and root button, then the sound plays (device disconnected) and the tool says, Pad not in APX mode.
I have installed the x64 drivers for my Win 7 64 OS and put to apx mode correctly.
Any ideas?

Problem with your USB connection? Don't connect to a USB hub, or try another USB port.

Don't have a hub, tried every single USB on my motherboard. Still rejects it.
Still nothing. Can be that it has the latest ww 8.6.5.13 version?
BTW, I get this screen (attachment)
Can you run the command via a command window? This would actually show the error message so you could figure out what's going wrong.

It's not the firmware, it's that you have a B80 model, partway through B70 models the conventional root method stopped working.

I can never have my tf detect by win7 x64 even on a newly formatted drive even with the necessary drivers installed. Going into APX mode also not working. I'm suspecting that my data/power cable is faulty.
It detected mine without any drivers.
For the APX mode I had to install the drivers of course.

Even with the APX driver installed, I still cannot use this mode at all.

are you sure you have the right drivers? use the ones found in the nvflsh folder. also, you do know there is now real way to tell if your tab is even in APX mode right?

Did you try to connect to other USB port? Don't use external USB hubs to connect transformer.
Can you use asus sync software? Can you sync android to windows with this software?

Other usb ports also give me the same problem. The asus sync software reports no device found. Funny thing is that I can have my pc detect the tf occasionally. Could my data cable go bonker?

I'm using the one in the 7.1 rootkit package. Yes, I know how to detect if the apx is in operation.

Maybe try the ones in the nvflash file
Get the android SDK and install that on W7. That was the only way I could make it work for me.

I have tried usb driver from the pc suite, the usb from support download page, the drivers that came with viperMOD and nothing allows adb to "see" my tablet, not even asus sync, just got it today, updated to ics then tried connecting and after that faile, the different drivers, abb usually says there are no devices, that or once in a while that the device is offline. When I boot up eclipse it goes crazy with errors trying to constantly connect. Has anyone else had this issue?
Is it possible to root while in APX mod or whatever? How do I get to it btw?

Only if you have an SBK v1 TF. Serial # B60 or older (some B70)
If you have an SBK v1, use NVFLash to flash a compatible rooted ROM.
How do I find out? It says C20, nvmd though, oddly when I plugged it into a different usb it decided to work
I should install this universal naked drivers

They are good for apx/adb mode
Though I didn't have your exact issue I did have issues installing drivers and I was able to download PDAnet and start the install process. This automatically installed drivers for me that made my ADB setup work when nothing else would.
Hi guys, I've been experiencing issues with my tf300t. My computer (Windows 8) won't recognize my tablet. It doesn't even show up in the device manager. Any advice will be helpful.

Try these yet? Its what I use on win7 x64 but there are instructions for win 8 as well.

Thanks for your reply but the problem with that solution is that my tf300t won't show up in device manager.. I'm starting to think I have a faulty charger port. Or faulty USB cable.
Try to see if you can connect it to a different computer, If you can, you can eliminate the bad port or cable as possibilities.

Hi, i've got the exact same problem.
My computer won't recognize the TF300T. If i plug it with the dock (usb or charger to usb) = nothing. Just the tablet = nothing. I've installed Asus PC Sync but yeah, doesn't work. Nothing show up in the windows device manager. Any clues ?
(i've tried on 2 computers, with the original cable, with a charger to usb adaptater + usb to usb cable, and with a usb to usb connected to the dock)
same here - nothing happens when plugging tablet into pc. tried 4 different laptops - nothing
Hey guys, hope someone can help me out here.
My buddy has a bricked TF101, I told him I'd take a look at it (I fixed my brothers a year ago, it was no big deal).
Anyway, I can't install the naked driver for APX access, the device ID shows up as all 000000. There's no recovery to read the stock images off the sdcard either.
Any ideas?

If it will not allow you to install the APX drivers, most likely it is an issue with either driver signature verification if using Windows 8, or a bad cable.
I had a bad cable after 1.5 years of global travel. The cable still charged with the wall wart, but would not work via USB for APX, ADB, MTP or PTP.
New cable fixed it up in no time.
Here is how to disable the driver signature verification if you are running windows 8: http://www.howtogeek.com/167723/how...8.1-so-that-you-can-install-unsigned-drivers/

I hadn't thought of that, I'll borrow my brothers later on today and see if I can get APX going. I'm on Win7 and driver signatures are off. Thanks
Excuse me for my english.
I try to make my tablet root but is it imposible. All the programs that i use from the forum say that can´t exploit my tablet.
Also I tried to go to oficial recovery but just making show my the green robot of android with the alert.
There is something that i can do?
My tablet is Asus TFT101 US_epad-9.2.1.27

The green droid with alert is stock recovery. Use EasyFlasher to install a custom recovery.

You may need a new USB cable. My original still charges, but will not work for USB (ADB/APX/MTP/PTP). New cable fixed it straight away,

Where I can buy this new USB cable? I can´t find it in official market from Asus
I got mine off of amazon.com. Caseen.com also sells them.
