LGVideoPlayer Subtitles? - T-Mobile LG G2x

Hey I was wondering if anyone knew how to get subtitles working on the stock lgvideoplayer apk.
When I play a video and press menu, a subtitle option is greyed out.
Srt next to video file?

[Q] Does the default video player support subtitles?

Hi.
I still haven't decided to buy this tablet yet. So I was wondering if the built in player displays subtitles embedded in mkvs, ass or similar files? I normally use moboplayer in order to play my soft-subbed videos on my cellphone since only a few players support this feature.
If this is not supported, is there another video player that supports this but also allows it be floating like the video player?
Thanks!

I believe that the default video player only accepts SRT subtitle file. MKV playback starts off a little bit slow but picks right up at normal speed after a few seconds.
In most of cases, it support srt. I had no problem on most movies, included mkv.
Try a app call BS player, its in the play store, I love it and it will search for the subtitles any movies you are watching..for you.

Use DICE player . It supports all subtitles and floating screen , and if subtitles are not synced properly but you don't have choice , this player can slow down subtitles or accelerate them during play .

Video Player

Anyone know of a good video player?? I have been looking for one but can't find one I like. I just need it to play videos in my library that's it. I have MX Player and I like it but only problem is when I click a video I want to watch when it's done playing that video it will skip to the next one. If I could find a way to disable that I would be happy. Any ideas will help! Thank you
You haven't looked thru the settings of MX player have you... Open MX player and go to settings>Player>Playback complete action

MX Player and MMS Video

Hi All,
I was wondering if there is a way to get MX Player to play MMS video files that are sent over text. I deleted my stock video player, not knowing that MX Player would not recognize or play videos sent over text (MMS). Is there a way to have MX Player play MMS videos?
Thanks!
MX Player should play all video files. Try changing decoder to S/W.
If you can, please upload that file.

[Feature Request] Option to show imbedded subtitles in file

Hi guys, I'm currently watching something which I know already has embedded subtitles within the file. But when I go to the "Subtitle" option I only see options to find subtitle files (which doesn't help me because the srt is already embedded) or online subtitles, screenshot is pictured. An option to automatically show/switch off showing imbedded subtitles if it has them would be great. Cheers.

MX Player will automatically detect embedded Subtitles & external Subtitles ( if the name is same as video). Can you provide a bug report or sample file..?

MX Player v1.10.50 subtitle problems

Hello guys,
Is anyone having problems when downloading subtitles without opening the video?
I tried downloading with the 3 dots on the video and selecting the videos and using the 3 dots from the menu, without the video open, I can locate any subtitle and download it, the subtitle icon appear on the video, but when I open the video the subtitle is almost blank, if I download the same subtitle with the video opened, then it works perfectly.
Anyone having the same problem? :crying:

That's strange! Both are identical in terms of functionality. Can you please confirm that you have downloaded the same subtitle from the returned results? Sometimes you may notice such blank subtitle if the opensubtitles.org itself returns with an empty one.

Thanks for the reply, I actually thought it was strange, I tried to download the same subtitles for a lot of movies (I was doing a marathon on the MCU) and every time I downloaded a sub from outside the movie it came broken (only a few lines of the file), bit I am thinking now that the problem was not on your software, because now I am doing the same with a serie that I'm watching and it is working perfectly.
I really don't know what happened, but it's good that the problem was solved by itself
