[Q] Help Installing Apps on SD Card on Motorola Charm - General Questions and Answers

hello android-users! i have a motorola charm that I bought earlier this year that is currently running Android 2.1 Eclair as its latest update and is rooted using the SuperOneClick application. it's a pretty nice phone and all, but the problem is that i keep constantly running out of space for my applications, because they can only be installed on the phone's internal memory, and not my SD card, which is 8 GBs. this is getting really annoying, and since my phone won't be receiving any more Android updates, I won't be able to natively install or move apps into my sd card, so i was wondering if it was possible to do on a rooted Android 2.1. if so, could you please tell me how or point me to a good tutorial? Thanx so much for the help!

Hi guys, I'm really sorry to bump my thread here, but I'd really appreciate some help! Even if it's just a general idea or method, I could look up the rest on my own on Google or Youtube, but a working method that you guys could point me to would be great. Thanks again!

Moved to General Q&A.
As far as I know, only certain apps - or certain parts of apps can be moved for that version of Android.
There is an app called "App to SD" or something similar. I've never used it, I've heard the developer of an app has to do something, but I dunno. You could give it a shot.

[Q] Modifying Stock Rom - IM A690S

Hello at all,
I got a phone from Korea which isn't that bad. It's a SKY IM-A690S running Gingerbread 2.3.4.
I am very unhappy with the stock system applications (Dialer,Contacts, Messaging,Browser). They are some kind of "ugly" and some parts are in Korean.
The phone is already unlocked and rooted.
My question now is:
Can I make a backup of the rom, modify it and flash it back again?
I just want to remove all APKs and replace them with some "general" APKs (taken from cyanogenmod 7 for example).
Or is there an easier way?
Hope you can help me!
Greetings
me too have Sky Mirach IM-a690s, but seems no development of this phone. maybe you can freeze only some bad apps.
btw, how do you root this phone? can you give some advice, i've searched the net but no luck.
hope you can help me. thanks in advance.

this should do fine, as you can see the phone is also in the list of supported devices.

Hi,
See this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-s/general/patch-adoptable-storage-enabler-t3460478
You need to have root and a custom recovery before you do that.
Good luck
