I have not had data for about 30 mins. I am on the phone with Verizon and I am on hold for tier two. Teir one claimed that the outage is 100% nationally for LTE phones.

Are you in a 4G area? Tier one mentioned that the phones might be trying to access the down network and getting confused. In my case going to CDMA only does not help.

This makes some sense. The handoffs between LTE and CDMA create a different situation for CDMA in an LTE area and make it impossible to connect at all if the systems handling the handoffs are down. I wonder if anyone in a CDMA only area could report the situation they are in.
I am in Colorado. Tier one mentioned Texas is down.

Zero data here in Albany ga. not a 4g area either.
No data in Central Ohio in a 4g area. Killed battery.
Working fine in NW Indiana, on both my Bionic and wife's Charge.
no data here on the west side of atlanta, no LTE, 3g, 1x, and messages are slow
i came from pittsburgh to cleveland and got no 4g, 3g or 1x at all either for about 2 hrs now
EDIT. just got some 3g back in cleveland. im not sure about 4g because i dont get 4g at my house

so just to be clear...its not just me who is having the no 4g, 3g or 1x problem today?
Got 4g and 3g here in Toledo Ohio. Actually pulling some pretty high numbers on speed test and my server is set to the closest one for best accuracy. Average is about 11 but now I'm seeing 16 and 19's.

If you're getting HSPA+ you should be getting 4G speeds, that's why they can sell it as 4G. Also their are other factors that affect data speeds. If you're getting an HSPA signal you will see a 3G icon
Well my area is not on tmo 4g map and my vibrant got only moderate 3g.
But this phone gets better reception than my vibe. So which knows

They vary. Notice the ping.
I'm usuall around 8 mbs in Baltimore and 4 mbs 10 miles north of Baltimore where I live. My ping is a lot better than my Vibrant. I am usually getting a ping less than 50. My upload is anywhere between 1 mbs and 4 mbs.

mine is always shows 4g, and never yet got over 200kbs, and my g2 is getting average 2-3mg.
Ill bring it back for exchange,hope that solve the problem.
My typical speeds range from 3 to 10 mbps down on actual 4g, .5 to 2 mbps down on 2g. Near philadelphia. Full hspa+ tower .86 miles north of my work.

yeah that is what I am getting now...even though when I first got it I was hitting around 5-6 mbps... not sure what happened
I am in a 4G area btw
My Tbolt just dropped from 4g to 1x about 10 min ago before switching over to 3g. Where I live I'm always 100% 4g. Now when I force it to LTE only, I get nothing. Anyone else experiencing this? I'm in Dallas.

I did have an outage earlier today I assumed it was cm7 and speeds were horrible but perhaps it wasn't.
Its been working fine recently and the speeds are what you'd expect from lte.

There is no "getting their act together". VZW works/tests/expands/etc their network starting around midnight, ending in the early hours of the morning. Most people are in bed by then, so they won't notice. Watch the next couple of days, bet the same will happen again. I have lost 4g for the past 3 nights all around midnight. When I have woken up in morning, back to 4g.
4G here in Cincinnati too (northern burb).
4G working fine in Columbia , SC . I am on WI-FI most of the time (work at home) but have checked 4G several times this morning and it is working fine.

Mine has been up and down today it seems (Cin as well).
Mine is going up and down, as well as getting 3G or just bars in areas that should be 4G.
Another person in the office here, which should be good 4G, also having his phone do the same.
I'm rooted, he is stock.
EDIT: Location is Wilmington, DE.
4g has been working fine for me in Washington DC, as well as Northern, VA.
I've had the 1x blues since about 4:30 PM today. I did hear they were doing maintenance but it's been awhile and still the 1x blues. When I switch to a 3g setting it drops and comes back constantly. Going to wifi for now.

Same Here in Los Angeles, CA. Been driving me nuts all night.
Was stuck in 1x in Southern California then resorted to the tried and true workaround by dialing ##778#, pasword 000000, changing from eHRPD to EVDO Rev A, menu/commit/reboot and now have at least 3G. Good thing because VOIP calls over 1x was unusably choppy.
lol, I've been having some issues with GB ROMs and thought it was the radio, tried another ROM today and lost service, I assumed my phone hated the radio and was gonna jump back to froyo, maybe I'll give it a day now and hope for the best

Looks like 4G is back up at least in Southern California. Don't forget to change back to eHRPD.
Confirmed, Charlotte. Change your modem settings to yes from eharp for 3G. Also my old D2 didn't have data this morning either. My fiancé is using it.

Wow that's good news! I was about to attend UC Riverside but decided not to (Going to Cal Poly Pomona which is literally on the border for LTE coverage). Now I will be able to get 4G when I visit friends there!

Im at Euclid and 16th and I dont have 4G at my house.
However i did notice it as i got closer to the 10 freeway.
I live in south ontario, basically Euclid south of the 60 Fwy. I get 4G
I also got 4G in South Fontana, and in Upland by the 10 fwy

My fiance pays 45 bucks a month for family talk through her walmart employer discount. My question is since it is tmobile can I use my g2x on it? And if so can I use my 4g? Would I have to unlock it? I just don't like how my tmobile prepaid only gets 100mb of data in my price range.
I do. I have the 5g plan. My wife has the 2g plan. We got seperate plans cause I wireless tether. We use the G2x. So yeah, you can.

The G2x does too. I'm on it now. The G2x doesn't do 3g. It has g,2g or 4g. But 4g is really 3.5

Unless you change the setting under wireless networks...mobile network...network mode... You can change it there. I always change mine to auto when I travel. That way it will chose the strongest signal.

Yes but to use Simple mobile, you have to be network unlocked. Which you would get that from TMO customer care. They will e-mail it to you.

The G2x will not display a 3G status signal. It will show a 4G, 2G, G.
Good luck with your droid. I'm on the $70 plan...5g data, unlimited talk and txt. So I know it will work.

Strange thing is its displaying 4g now, but its slow as hell. But I can take it as is now on my Tmobile service and switch the box to wcdma only? And that'll work?
Yes if there is 4G. That setting will stay on that signal til you change it.
