I successfully installed IC 3.2.7 awhile back. I did do a titanium backup, which saved me the hassle of having market download them all again, and I figured out SMS as well. I know I shouldn't backup "system data" but want to be able to restore my app settings.
Q: How can I use titanium backup to backup/restore app settings, widgets, and shortcuts?
my problems lie with:
-Restoring widgets and shortcuts on my main screens
-App agreements, app settings
-Calendar settings
-Widget calendar settings
-Apps with DLC still think they need to download stuff after restore
will know this too ... many thanks for an answer

Hi there,
does anyone know a way how to hide apps from the drawer?
Google says i could use a different drawer (i don't want that) or i could disable them with tools like Titanium Backup (which needs root).
So any ideas? And why are there even TWO apps for Facebook and TWO Apps for Twitter?
I don't think you can hide drawer icons in Sense. You need to use a launcher like AWDLauncher.EX or Launcher Pro to be able to do that.
HTC has its own Facebook and Twitter apps/widgets, and the others are the official apps from the Android Market.
You know everytime a new rom is flash (Super wiped) all the widgets, folders and apps I customized will all disappeared/gone/reseted and i will need to redo the customization all over again. Is there a apps or a way to backup this and restore each time after flashing a new rom.
Using ARHD sense 3.5
Thanks
Regards
As far as I know you can't backup the widgets and Folders.
But you can backup the apps (+Data). I use Titanium Backup Pro to Backup and restore my apps.
My Backup Pro will let you backup/restore the Sense launcher settings and your homescreens (as well as SMS/MMS, call logs, and your apps)

Click to collapse
I tried this app but my home screens werent restored.
Could you expand where this setting is on the app?
EDIT just did it in titaniumBU! you need to restore the DESKTOP HTC SENSE XXXX.
For some reason it doesnt do it while doing a batch restore, the icons are all back (whoch saves a lot of time), the wallpaper and the widgets need to be readded.
Just restored all my apps to a new phone using Titanium but the only drawback to that manoeuvre is all 150 apps are in the app drawer now and I need to drag each shortcut individually to the home screen. Is there a setting to tell Titanium to put shortcuts on the home screen?
Is there anyway now for me to bulk move apps from the app drawer to home screen?
There must be an app, an exposed or play store app that can do this, my phone is rooted - its a Galaxy Note 2 touch wiz 4.42.
For future reference is there anyway to backup my home screen folders and app shortcut setup when moving to a different phone/hardware?
No one?
Did a good search on play store but the only thing I could find was app drawer replacements
Is there any exposed app that can do this?
I have discovered a way using Nova launcher, install nova before restoring apps from titanium and in the settings tell nova to put a shortcut on the home page for newly installed apps. Then when titanium restores the apps a shortcut will be placed on the homescreen for each app, remember that is Novas homescreen not the vanilla launcher of your phone.
I use Nova now so all the homescreen app placements are restored with the app but maybe this may help someone.
Hi guys I set up my wife's s6 and while trying to use helium backup to restore done apps without rooting her phone. I restored the icons to the new phone and now it won't stop force closing. I installed a third party app. But she really wants touchwiz back because of the widgets.
The help I need is,
Is there a way to reinstall the app?
I've tried with one I found online but it won't install because it won't overide a system app. I didn't know if there was a way to force it and if someone could post am apk of the launcher to try that one also.
Thanks,
Try going into app manager in setting and find the app launcher you installed. Click on it and to go to app info and click the button that says clear defaults. Once it does press the home button and it should ask which launcher you want as default.
what launcher did you have? i dont think touchwiz gets "uninstalled"
like in nova > settings > select default home
Yes I know all that. But touchwiz force closes so it won't let me use it. I have Nova as a backup
So you were restoring apps using Helium Backup and it restored an icon pack? Can't you delete the icon pack?
I use the google now launcher and found when restoring a phone from google when the launcher is reinstalled the homepage icons ans widgets put themselves back. This is awesome except when using titanium back to put the apps back on since google restore goes first then TB.
Anyone know how to "re launch" google app restore so I can select the launcher and have it put my icons back for the apps that were not installed yet the first time.
thanks
