I know with the G2X you could do screen shots out of the box .
Can you do that on the Sensation without rooting or mods ?
If so how ?
Is you're running on 2.3.4 if you hold the power button down and touch the home button it will take a screenshot.

Can't make 3-d carousel anymore. Did a factory reset. Is this a known issue? Also when I grab the notification bar and pull it up and down real fast it let's it go even though I'm still holding on to it. Things that don't matter that much but kind of pissme off.

Hopefully there will be one for the Sensation soon.
Jut recently I am having this problem. Whenever I am in an app or on the home screen if I hit the home button it takes a picture of the screen. I can't get out of it unless I hit the power button to turn the screen off. Now I don't know if this might be a problem with the power button sticking because I haven't noticed it doing so. If anyone has any insight into this that would be great!
Thanks.
The issue is with your power button. To take a screenshot you have to hold down Power + Home buttons. But the power button on this device has issues and sometimes registers as being pressed when it's not, that's why it's taking a screenshot when you hit home. If you have root, try disabling the screenshot function or flashing another rom like CM7.
wow sorry i dont have this problem
There is fix for it under the General section here on XDA that requires some super glue and a steady hand. The power button basically sags after awhile, kinda sucks for such a high end device.

You may need to reboot it.
Anyone any ideas how I turn this off ! It's a pain in the ass. Can't work out how it switches on but it does it so often it drives me mad
To use it, you press the Home + Sleep button. What your problem is, is the home button is getting stuck so every time you press the home button, it takes a snapshot. It's a major problem with most Sensations. I'm not sure if you can turn it off, but you can call HTC about it.

whats ur benefit from that job???
don't know answer to your problem but i can see benefits (if pwr button is damaged or in some notwelldesigned protective case can't be pushed well). it would be nice if we could remap that button
Not possible. Never will be.
I saw this a while ago. It is possible to turn off but not on.
You can edit this file: system/usr/keylayout/chacha-keypad.kl and change the line of button 184 SHARE to 184 POWER WAKE_DROPPED
There are 13 spaces between power and wake. It will turn the screen off but when chacha enters deep sleep it will not turn it on. You can download widget locker. With it you can turn the screen on with the 'a' button even though your phone is in a deep sleep. It works for me like a charm. I never use the physical power button anymore.
