I bought a cheap $10 battery from one of those Hong Kong sells and well you get what you pay for..... $10 full of crap! damn battery didnt last 6 months! So never again lesson learned.

well i looked at my sensation 4g's battery door cover inside and i noticed on the upper left hand cover we have a gold contact for whatever and on the sensation with beats audio it doesnt have that connector inside the battery door so im sure thats why it wont work for the u.s sensation 4g.
also i think there is a sensation for bell and the sensation 4g for the u.s and maybe it has something to do with the radio's or something and thats why its different from are sensation 4g's. not 100% sure though

T-Mobile Sensation is 4G whereas the other Sensations are non-4G. Sensation 4G requires that extra gold contact foil for 4G connectivity and the product does not have it. So it will not work properly.

For you to attach the parts onto the backplate. Without it you wont get signal.

I've looked around and it seems like this would be your best bet, but the back cover would be useless.... good paper weight?
it should work on a regular HTC sensation from Europe tho? i dropped my baby in the floor and it got a real big scratch so it doesnt look so good.. and i love the red details to

The extra connection on the us models is the 4g receiver the back too basically acts as an antenna without it you get no signal so no connector no 4g

Hello guys,
Since i'm kinda into customizing my electronics and the fact that I just bought a HTC Sensation i thought let's post this here and perhaps you guys can help me with this.
I would love to laser engrave my sensations back cover but i have no creativity and once it's done it can't be undone. Can you guys help me out with some nice and creative ideas on what i might be able to do to it?
Since I have a laser engraver / cutter I do not require any tips about where to go etc. to have it done.
Also if you have any ideas for your own device i'd more then happy to talk to you about customizing your device

Oh no doubt that I'll be doing that. Then again screwing up the back up cover with a not so awesome design would still kinda suck ^^
So i'm still open to suggestions, perhaps there are some really awesome graphics designers here.

Its not chrome. Just raw aluminium. I took it apart and buffed it down. You can also use paint thinner. When I get back to. My PC I will post the link.

Yes, I already read that on his blog few weeks ago. The only thing I need now is a spare battery cover because I'll probably screw up (when taking the plastic off, brushing isn't a problem) I'll try to get one but it looks like HTC wants you to send your old one back (I have some issues with this one, I'm not trying to get it only to have a spare)

When my power went bezerk they just wanted the device only. Pretty easy. I cab help.

you don't need to take the cover apart. all you need is masking tape and paint thinner/remover. mask the cover well as if you were about to paint a car. be careful and meticulous with the taping. then apply the paint thinner/remover and remove the paint accordingly. remember, any of these things takes PATIENCE to get a good effect.
honestly i highly recommend you take it apart for the reason u want to get all nooks and crannies. all u need is some good glue to put them back together

It is only metal part damaged. But i don't think i will disassemble and resemble cover, `cause i don't think it can be easily done and not to be like stock. Probably i will order whole back case assembled [metal part + plastic, antennas ...]

Oh! What a great news but I doubt it. In Vietnam I can go to HTC service center and buy one, pretty expensive though, about 50$
Alright, so I got a Sensation from a friend today that has a smashed screen and a broken back from being thrown at the ground. I was wondering if any one knows how to check if the board is still good? It won't vibrate so I'm guessing that means its broken. If the LCD and digitizer aren't attached will the phone even power on? I also tried plugging it into the wall charger and nothing happens. Any advice? Do you guys think its broken? Thanks!

Take it apart and take a good look, that's the best advice I can give. Replace the LCD (if needed) and the digitizer if the board and components look alright.

The screens the difficult part , the housing will only cost you 12 bucks off eBay. Well if you replaced the screen and housing and it looked and worked ok, you could probably get 200 for it on eBay or the forums here. So do the math and see if you'll break even

I'd give it a try, I paid 500 for my sensation its very worth it if you can fix it. Parts are not too expensive. I say go for it! Don't sink too much into it incase it can't be fixed but do give it a try! Man your friend needs anger management if he does this stuff to his devices, haha lol!

I really like the phone, and I really don't want to trash it. When he told me what he did to it I was shocked and thought the are thing. I am going to order some parts this next week and I will post back with findings.

So long fellow sensation lovers... Unfortunately I dropped my phone and shattered the screen.. when I called the insurance company the told me they don't support sensations but gave me a choice of a galaxy s2 or a HTC amaze...

Don't get the Amaze! I bought it for my girlfriend since it had basically the same hardware as the Sensation, and I loved my Sensation. Completely difficult to do any kind of hacking or flashing, and there is NO development over in their dev threads next to some high school themers.
I guess I can't complain because I haven't/can't contribute to the development. But just a fair warning.

that's strange.. im on t-mobile US as well and they sent me a sensation to cover for my mytouch 4g a few weeks ago.. they told me i could choose between mytouch 4g slide or sensation so of course i went with the sensation hope you enjoy your new device

I have the same question... would love to get a white cover for my HTC Sensation 4G on TmoUS
It's been asked many times when the white covers first came out. The missing contact is fine. I think it was an extra wifi antenna, not 100%, I am on TmoUS and have had the white cover for a good while now. No degradation of wifi or cell signal.
I'm gonna take the plunge and buy one...what do i have to lose...24.00. And if it works i get a nice looking phone...i'll report back.
24 hrs with my white back and see no difference in connectivity....Decided to spice it up a bit with a skin...what u guys think?

Ive used many skins thruout my cellphone days and by far the best ive ever purchased...only used the fron as to be able to show the white cover...but again by far the best...highly recommended...just order a grey one for my wifes phone since she liked the look of the white cover too..

I have the white cover as well and mine is missing that connector ....but I have no problem using it and I have been using it for more than 2 years now, I am with tmobile without a problem!! All function works, wifi signal good so I guess that litthe piece is nothing major
