Nextbook Next8P - Android Software/Hacking General [Developers Only]

Just recieved a new Nextbook Next8P model. So far it runs smooth. However, I need to get Android Market installed. It came pre-loaded with SlideME, not worth it. I've loaded the Amazon market app. However, it doesn't have the app that my wife needs (Wordstorm), which is available on the adroid market. I've loaded the newest version. But, it FCs after setup. This tab running Android 2.3.1. Is there a version of the app ? Do I need to be rooted?
Thanks,

Go here, even though it is for the 7, it should work for the 8.

[Q] Help needed... App not showing in the market

Hello,
I had android 2.1 and purchased one of the navionics (marine charts navigation) and was working great. I upgraded the OS to 2.2 and now I can not even see any navionics apps in the market, I can find them in appbrainer but when I click to go to the market it doesn't find it.
I contacted navionics and they say their app does work on 2.2 and that it might be due to rooting the phone but I checked for the app in another phone that came already with version 2.2 from factory and got the same result...
Any suggestions?
Anybody else using 2.2 can see the navionics apps in the market?
btw the same is happening with the pandora app...
Thank you...

Android At Bat 2011 Problems - Samsung Transform

Hey there everyone. Over the weekend I rooted and installed the portROM version of Froyo. After doing so I can get all my apps except one, MLB At Bat 2011, I find it on AppBrain and it says it cannot be found, digging deeper I see that on the actual web based Android market it says it's incompatible for my phone, even though my phone is listed as "SPH-M920." Is there any way I can get to this app, I've paid for it and it's the one app I can't get on my phone. Any ideas? Thanks!

[Q] How do i get a market Update?

I´m using Prime 1.9 ROM.
The problem is, that my market version is still at 1.0.28 which is an old one. someone know how to get the updated version?
Greetings
Cyber
I think that's the current market for HC tablet.
I don´t think so because i can download facebook an there is no version available for tablets.

You're talking about side loading. You did not download Facebook directly from market did you?
You can certainly side load the newest market version but it's NOT optimized for tablet.
The latest up to date version for tablet is what you have.
but if you want just download and install the market from here

Your original question was "How do i get a market Update?" which you will not because you are up to date.
okay i understand.
but i´m still wondering because i got on the original rom no chance to download facebook so i think there must be maybe a filter or something for tablets when loading the market site.
When I first got my TF, FB was pre-installed. Some times after that they removed it from market for HC tablet. So now when it get update, I just pull it from my phone and install it on the TF.
The most up-to-date market app caused a lot of my apps to force-close. If you sideload it, remember this, in case you start getting apps unable to run.

News360 apk

All,
I'm hoping to get News360 running on the KF running the ICS ROM (which is fantastic btw). But Market says my device isn't compatible with News360 for Tablets. Of course, it's a free app, but I cannot find of an APK of it anywhere. Has anyone been able to get News360 for Tablets from Android Market? OR can tell me how to procure the APK? Or if anyone has figured out how to convince Android Market I'm really running a proper Ice Cream Sandwich tablet and they shouldn't see it as a Kindle Fire and block it?
I HATE fragmentation!

I downloaded it to my Kindle and then uploaded the apk for you, you can download it HERE.
Thank you! This is the Tablet version, right? It didn't have a problem with the fact that it was the Kindle Fire? Or did you get it from Amazon's app store, or what?
Thanks!

It works fine but I mistakenly downloaded the phone version, I'm installing the tablet version and will update my first post. The tablet version is giving me an error about parsing the package.
Edit: I found a few places to download it from but I get the same parsing error with each one.
yeah
This file or folder has been removed.

This. Has the Amazon video app ever run on ANY other version of android except amazon's own?
The reason being is that Amazon made it so that only gingerbread devices could run it. With the new Kindle running ics stock ppl without root should have access to it.
Also video doesn't work if you are rooted. Side note.
