rotate sense 3.0 - HTC Sensation

Is there a mod or any other way to rotate sense 3.0 itself.
And I don't mean by using GO launcher etc.

I think the answer would be no, not possible at the moment.

thx, will go for sense 3.5 then.

Rotate Screen

I am looking for a way to use the rotate option for ALL screens on my EVO.. the rotate option only works in certain apps and i would like to be able to rotate my Home Screen along with My Phone Dialer, is there anyway to do this?
I am running a Rooted Stock Rom on my HTC EVO with a netarchy custom kernal ... what are my options to achieve this effect?
PS: Just to be more clear, by rotate i mean: When you turn the phone horizontally, i would like the picture on the screen to also turn horizontally rather than like the home screen stays vertical even when i turn the phone horizontal
stock rom won't do landscape homescreen. You'll need to flash to a custom rom to unlock that. even still, I've never seen a landscape dialer.
Or run a custom launcher, I know ADW has a landscape options. But some of the widgets/icons are not optimized for it and look funny
there's absolutely no way to flash a mod that will allow the stock rom to do this? Are there sense roms out there that allow for landscape home screens or only AOSP roms that allow for the landsape of the home screen, and if there are sense roms that allow landscape homscreen why couldn't it be done on the stock rom ?
It's not necessarily the "ROM". It's the launcher (home screen). If you're rooted, you can use these on the stock ROM, or any other Sense/AOSP based ROMs.
LauncherPro, ADW, ADW.EX and GO Launcher are some of the popular ones that allow landscape home screens.

i hate all the home launchers on the market, i like to use the regular stock sense is there anyway i can make this customization happen without changing the appearence of my phone? dont wanna change roms nor do i wanna have to use a home launcher like adw..
i just want my stock rooted sense rom with the ability to landscape my home screen...
The HTC Sense home launcher does not support landscape rotation and there is no modification available to do so.

I run Warm Z 2.2 its sense 2.0 based and offers full landscape support.
my dad has the HTC EVO Shift, and his phone is able to do the home screen landscape, and that is also running sense 2.0 -- so technically... it is possible
does Warm Z offer landscape for the dialer?
I'm looking to be able to stand my EVO up with the kickstand on my desk at work and be able to dial on the phone with it horizontal sittin up on the kickstand

Your 100% right on the fact that your dads Shift is running Sence 2.0 and yes the launcher dose landscape. The problem is that your eVo, even though its rooted its running a "stock" rom and it still has only Sence 1.0. So it's not possible on your rom.
I would think that there's alot of coding that would have to be done to make it happen. And with all of the custom roms being ported to the eVo from devices that already have Sence 2.0(and Froyo) there's not that much of a demand to port just the Sence 2.0.
Heck, it may just not even be possible at all!?!?
Your best bet may be to find a rom that has been ported and is running stock Sence 2.0. There are a few of them out there... just have to look.

Phone and contacts that will rotate to landscape are out for cyanogenmod since nightly #78, you just have to enable it in the Call settings and Contact settings.

[Q] Rosie 2.1 on top of Sense 3.0

I was wondering if there was a way to port Rosie 2.1 on Sense 3.0. I find it more snappy and clean than the 3.0 one.

So far it has been very difficult to port sense Widgets across major version changes and framework revisions. I'm not saying its not possible, but the absence of such mods in the wild is a silent answer to your question. The flip clock remains one of HTC's most desirable and most fiercely guarded assets... Revised across every platform upgrade and usually tied down to the specific framework that it is built for.
Hope you find a way to change that.
Sent from an HTC device soon to be replaced by Samsung. Suck on that, HTC!!

Sense for an AOSP ROM??

I dont know if this is at all possible without theming but I was curious if you could get the sense 4+ on an aosp rom. Maybe not all the extra apps like the music and messaging and camera but the lockscreen and the widgets. I have tried all sorts of stuff with go launcher and beautiful widgets but they just don't do it justice. Is there a way to port this???? Has it already been done?

First of all, this should be in the Q&A section. Secondly, the closest you will get is a modded Sense ROM. I jumped ship from sense as fast as I could so I don't really follow the news, but I have heard that Viper ROM is the most AOSP-like Sense ROM.
No... Certain aspects or sense rely on the sense launcher... Like the clock...idk about the lockscreen...but mostly everything else is a no go on a diff launcher
Sense is very heavily tied into the framework. Ports are possible, like when I had a captivate there was a sense port but it was extremely unstable. It's just not worth the hassle really

you could always use a senseless rom so you could have other launchers but have sense lockscreen still
Go with Viper rom, use Apex or Nova launchers. You will have an Aosp style launcher while still maintaining the lockscreens, and HD Widgets will look just like sense.

In my experience all third-party launchers introduce a notable lag (compared to Rosie) when opening home screens, app drawer, etc. And this is with all possible animations and other eye candy turned off. Seems that as long as Sense is running in the background you have to go through an extra layer to get to the Launcher.
