Well I went looking for one of those cheesy BIOS bootanimations and for the life of me couldn't find one for the Infuse. So I made one based on the layouts originally used HERE and I thank frysee for his work and the inspiration as well as for porting for so many other devices. And I said to myself, self, if I'm bored enough to do this I might as well do some theming work to go along with it. I also really like green so I figured I'd dress my install of S7 up a bit with even more green icons than it already has! Attached is a copy of the package I put together with the mighty help of the UOT Kitchen. I know its cheating but I figured I know where everything goes to do it manually but I was in a meeting and bored and felt like being lazy. I am also including the zip of just the bootanimation in case you guys don't like green as much as I do. I take no responsibility if you bork your phone, this worked for me but may no for you and thats your own choice to make, but if youre flashing you probably already know that. I have only tried this mod on Infused 2, S7, and I do not know what it will do to any other ROMs. I'm not a dev and am using projects like this to learn so your patience is appreciated.
Short instructions as I forgot to include them originally.
The green icons packages are flashable through CWM. (BACKUP FIRST THEN FLASH)
The bootanimation.zip you can just copy and place in your /system/media folder or your /data/local folder and rename it to just bootanimation.zip. You must make sure there is a bootanimation in only ONE of those folders though or it may default to either a blank screen or still play the original bootanimation. Most ROMs for the Infuse seem to use the/system/media folder for the "stock"location but so long as there is only one bootannimation on your phone either should work for any ROM that will work on our phones. There is no need to extract the files if you place it in the folders this way just leave it as a .zip and Droid will know what to do with it.
Contents:
Modified framework-res.apk - to add icons and colors
Modified SystemUI.apk - More fonts and colors
Modified bootscreen.zip - to add Infused based boot animation.
Various tweaks and mods to alter window/pop up properties to add overscroll (droid green) and animate windows with a fly in effect.
EDIT: I noticed that some roms like Dlev already have a lot of window effects and very specific icon controls (as Dlev does beautifully) this mod can cause issues with loading past the initial icon load after your fist unlock. I would be very careful if you use this on any ROMs that already have a lot of screen transition effects as this could result in bad joojoo. Use it at your own risk but hey, isn't that what Nandroid backups are for? DO THEM BEFORE YOU EVER FLASH ANYTHING NEW TO YOUR PHONE. EVER.
EDIT: 10/16 Added Infused 2 specific boot at request. Corrected some errors in the reported available memory.
EDIT: 10/21 Added Dlev specific boot and a Dlev friendly flash of my preferred Dial Battery and some more green icons. This also alters the notifications drop down to replace the green bottom bar with a stock GB bar (I like green but it looked a little off to me so I changed it). I also darkened the overscroll bounce a bit to make the colors match a bit more evenly. Any greens I could easily get at are now HEX A4C639 which is supposedly the stock droid color "Android green" for any who care.

To an extent I thought the same thing I like it because its very customizable and has a huge community. I'm liking it for now I just can't wait for the official cm7
Holy MIUI Batman!
Yeah I did a CM7 build but I hate the Bluetooth issues so I keep going back to Infused during the workday and playing with other Roms while we wait for GB to drop. Might try MIUI to play with a bit, but it still has the Bluetooth issues being a CM based rom so can't daily drive it either.

Yea I don't use BT but yea I maid a build for cm7 as well I just don't wanna have to keep up with it so much I like themeing so I use my extra time doing that

The project I'm consulting on is in its last month of a 12 month contract so my schedule is a bit crazy but I'll see if I can do something. If nothing else I'm taking december off...... But I wouldnt want to wait that long if it were me so will try to have something done this week.
Edit: Insomnia rampant tonight so I just did an Infused 2 specific one, enjoy!

It has Bedwa's Infusion GB 1.1 kernel in it, but people tend to swap out to Community or Entropy's DailyDriver sometimes. But since it already comes with Bedwa's kernal, let's do that one.
i LOVE this boot animation. the only problem is i constantly want to reboot. this worked fine using Super Manager to place it in the media folder. Running GSInfuse 1.1.6. I did have to fix permissions, they were off. but worked first try!

Hey everyone, welcome to viperMOD for the EVO, Incredible, Nexus One, Desire GSM, Thunderbolt, Nexus S, Nexus S 4G, Desire HD, and Inspire 4G. Many people are having great success with this mod and I hope you enjoy my work
I would like to turn this into an app! If someone would like to help out that has Java knowledge, please contact me!
What does this do?
Kernel developers make their kernels to be "universal". By universal, they want the kernel to work on as many phones as possible so they may only mildly undervolt. However, some phones can handle a more aggressive undervolt. Some can't. viperMOD allows you to undervolt to your choosing for better battery life or allow you to overvolt to make your phone more stable.
How do I run this?
Once you flash the .zip go into your Terminal app (I use Android Terminal Emulator set to 10pt font) and type:
su
vipermod
I really only use Terminal for my mod and there is something really cool you can do with Android Terminal Emulator (and maybe others). Menu > Preferences > Initial Command > Press Enter and type su > Press Enter again and type vipermod
Every time you start Terminal now, it will open right into viperMOD. You can quickly exit by pressing Enter if you need to use Terminal for something else

It shows that voltages can be lowered with a script. He may be using a different type of vdd interface than most kernels. If you want to post in his thread to ask, that would be helpful. I don't really have time to read the whole thread to see if it might be posted in there.
I could take a look at the folder the file I need to modify is usually in. Can you .zip me your /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq folder? Or just do an ls on it and copy me the output from that.
Also, you can try Leedroid kernel if you want to use this right away.

Right now my kernel uses the vdd table in acpuclock7x30.c to overclock and set voltages, but haven't incorporated the 'sys-interface' yet, so there is no vdd file in /system/devices/system/CPU......./cpufreq/vdd...( which will be added in next version of the kernel to make this work properly). Its still adjustable with an init script, just can't see it like you should be able to.
Leedroids kernel will probably not work since his is a sense rom, mines aosp. (just the zimage will probably boot, but there will likely be problems, the whole boot.img will deff cause problems)
So, its not vipermods fault, I need to get around to updating my kernel again.
Edit- I quoted viperboy, but this is more directed to trell

This is something that I'm having a hard time pinning down. I don't get this error on my EVO but someone in the Desire forums, I believe, got this error too. I'm wondering if it's ROM related since other people using Leedroid have it working. I will see what I can do, crap like this is just hard to sort out without the phone sometimes.

You don't get into the script at all, right? Unfortunately, there would be no log you could give me. 1stgensnapdragon is a function setup in my script, however, that has nothing to do with the Desire HD/Inspire 4G since you guys have a 2nd-gen Snapdragon and I have a function for that.
If you find anything, please let me know!

It does pull that line from build.prop but it knows it's a 2nd-gen Snapdragon and that shouldn't make a difference.
OP updated!
So I updated my copy of VMod script and BusyBox (thank you much, btw. Speedy updates are a joy...I guess maybe I'm just impatient at times lol) via ES Explorer then chmod 0777 for both w/ emulator and it still doesn't work. Both updates seem to have taken and now I get errors on lines 9 and 399, I believe. It's the "uname" and "1gen" errors from earlier. "Tr" and "cut" don't throw up errors anymore so that's at least some improvement lol
Need anything more from me to help out?

I am by no means a developer. I am simply a themer trying to learn. I am OCD about everything I install on any device I use. I try and try and try many combinations of mods until I find what works the best for me. I also add mods that I like and fix things in the roms general theme that I do not like. And this is exactly what I have done here....
I was not going to post this, but my testers asked me to so here it is. If the thread gets retarded because people can not follow instructions I will get the thread removed.....
BEFORE YOU EVER ATTEMPT TO USE THIS YOU MUST HAVE FLASHED WEAPON 3.0_R1 AND LET IT BOOT ONCE. OR YOU WILL BOOTLOOP.
YOU CAN FIND THE ORIGINAL WEAPON HERE:
WEAPON 3.0_R1
I post this with the tags as [MOD] for one reason and one reason only. AND THAT IS BECAUSE IT CAN NOT BE FLASHED BY ITSELF!!!!!! YOU MUST BE ALREADY USING WEAPON TO FLASH THIS!!!!!!!!
FOLLOW THE INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS OR DO NOT BOTHER TO TRY TO USE THIS!!!
Ok this is my basic mod of Weapon G2x. This is what I used as my daily driver for a long time. I have had over 20 testers try it with nothing but positive results. As far as I know everything is working. There is still some buggy spots in the stock browser this is not due to any of the hacks applied by Whitehawkx or me. It is due to LGs lack of coding, or should I say LGs failure of implicating correct coding. And as with any stock LG based ROM there is some weirdness here and there.
What I did:
a.) Tweaked the frameworks in a few spots to allow quicker transitions.
b.) I added ICS sounds all the way around the ROM.
c.) Changed out all the lockscreen clock fonts.
d.) Added the init.d scripts I like to use. (I will add explanation of why I used what I used down the way.)
e.) Added Center clock mod, I did not make it roll up because I always like to see the time and date when I pulldown my notification bar. Yes some text will overlap but I always use tweaks to change out my clock color so it matches whatever theme I am using. If you flash a theme over this you will break the center clock and some of the tweaks, but other then that there shouldnt be too much of an overall affect. I might add move clock to tweaks but I doubt I will be able to have time to do so.
f.) Build.prop tweaks for gps and such....they dont do much but I figure every little bit helps with this POS device
g.) I am sure there is some others I have forgotten.....cause I am working on several projects at once....
Ok for the init.d scripts I know some cancel the others out to an extent. Minfree is set to the same levels in edttweaks and juwe11s ramscript but juwes also gives other settings, that for me work out well. I also added a few others I use that help me out battery wise. With the init.d scripts I included I get about 20 hours with 2+hours of display time. Results will vary for everyone, but for me it has been better as well as for those who tested it.
NOTE: I only use the stock kernel that comes with the rom. From my experience and from my testers that has shown the best results.
Known issues to my knowledge:
You must already be on WeaponG2x_3.0_R1 to flash this or YOU WILL BOOTLOOP!! LIKE I SAID FOLLOW MY INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS!
A.} The way to install my mod, is stupid...but it is the only way I can get it to work for those of you who want it. So follow the instructions or don't attempt to install it.....
B.} The stock browser will go stupid sometimes..Once again complete and utter failure on LG. This happens on any rom that is based off of LGs code.....
C.} External SD will not mount unless you mount it through CWM recovery, or if you format the card after flashing Weapon.
D.} You must already be on WeaponG2x_3.0_R1 to flash this or YOU WILL BOOTLOOP!! LIKE I SAID FOLLOW MY INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS
_________________________________________________
OK. Now for the part I am sure most of you can't follow. The install instructions......
_________________________________________________
1.) FIRST FLASH WEAPON_3.0_R1, IF YOU DO NOT HAVE IT INSTALLED DO NOT BOTHER TO TRY TO BOOT THIS MOD/ROM.
2.) ONCE YOU HAVE WEAPON INSTALLED REBOOT INTO CLOCKWORK MOD RECOVERY.
3.) WIPE CACHE AND GO TO ADVANCED AND WIPE DALVIK CACHE.
4.) DO NOT WIPE ANYTHING BESIDES DALVIK AND CACHE!
5.) INSTALL THE MOD OVER WEAPON.
6.) ONCE THE INSTALL IS DONE REBOOT AND LET IT SETTLE FOR A FEW MINUTES.
DOWNLOAD WEAPON THE NEW CLIP HERE:
WEAPON_NEW_CLIP_V-0.1
....Now like I said YOU MUST HAVE WEAPON 3.0 RC1 already installed or you will bootloop. And you WILL bootloop if you do not follow the install instructions I gave EXACTLY. I do not know why, I tried my best to fix it but I couldnt. I am not a developer I am just a noob themer trying to learn my way around android....
This is pretty much the only time I am going to give this out simply because those who tested it asked me to. Otherwise I wouldnt have given it out. I have alot of projects going on between my cm7 themes and roms I am working on. I will do my best to help anyone who has issues, but if you cant follow the instructions I do not know what to tell you.
If you did not follow the instructions and get stuck in a bootloop pull your battery and flash weapon 3.0_r1. Let it boot and settle for a few minutes. After that if you want my mod go back to recovery and install the mod.
Did I forget to mention its smoother then buttery bacon grease biscuits on a slip n slide?!?!

If you change the kernel i would recommend the repack of fauxs kernel that lotherius made.

If anyone is on the fence about this update...Don't be. It is great! I have been running it since last Friday and have nothing but good things to say. Everything works, only better. The interface feels smoother and faster. GPS lock is improved. Everything is just better.
Give it a try.
Thank you Kwes1020! I know you have run into a couple challenges to get this far. We appreciate your perseverance. I hope you continue to tweak it when your busy schedule allows.

I went ahead and threw on the 0.1.3 SV before I read this. Seems to be working just fine actually. Something pretty weird I noticed though, faux said that the SV should only be at 1.0ghz max and I am getting 1.4 with it. Either I missed something somewhere or it randomly decided to run faster. It's running cool, smooth, stress tested okay, good benchmarks. I will keep it until it decides to become funky. I have plenty of backups...
Anybody happen to have the stock gps.conf file that comes with this? I've already managed to jack mine all up.

Just wiped cache/dalvik cache and installed the lg cam. I didn't see the difference from the gingerbread original. Is this suppose to be the one that came stock before we received the gingerbread update??

No need to worry about boot loaders, etc with this ROM! You will be able to freely use Jims GB to ICS utility to FXZ back to GB if you follow these instructions as this is just a system & data partition flash.
You must be on an ICS leak to flash this!.
1. I recommend (because I have only tested this method) following this process to get to ICS if you are currently on GB 2.3.6: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1779968
2. Once on an ICS leak, you need to establish root. Grab the ICS ROOT zip on the page where you just downloaded the ICS ROM and extract it to your desktop. Make sure your phone is connected to the USB cable and has USB debugging checked in Settings=> Developer Options, and then run the ROOT.bat file in the folder that you just extracted. Allow it to do its thing. It will reboot several times during the process. DO NOT TOUCH YOUR PHONE UNTIL THE MESSAGE IN THE RUN WINDOW SAYS THAT YOU ARE ROOTED!
3. Now copy the ROM to your sdcard.
4. Next, you will need to Bootstrap your Recovery to get CWM Recovery. Grab the apk from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1346977
[OPTIONAL] You can also use BootMenu Manager (attached to post) instead of the Atrix Bootstrap app. It's a free download in the App Store
5. Now just use the BootMenu or Bootstrap app to reboot to custom recovery and flash
DOWNLOADS Flash these in CWM or other custom recovery
Download Build 1.3 (MIRROR)

**Note**
The first boot after flashing will take a while, like several minutes so don't freak out

WiFi Tethering
I created this small script to bypass the HotSpot entitlement service to allow unrestricted wireless tethering. This script was made for Windows but you are welcome to use it to convert to Linux / Mac. I think that this it may only work on this build of ICS (67.21.125). The entitlement check is on line 113 of this build so if you are on another ROM and have that same line, then it should work. I'm making no promises.

Thanks and such
- I would like to thank alteredlikeness for getting this leak & also his 1% battery mod.
- I would also like to thank all of the peeps over in the original forum who tested (& bricked) their phones testing this trying to go back to GB. You know who you are: "cough, Cough" Fall of Enosis
- The Atrix devs here (I'm still learning your names) for taking the time to understand and develop for this device. You saved me A LOT of testing however I did make the mistake of going back to GB from ICS the first night I had the phone without Jims utility and hard bricked. I told ATT it failed the 2.3.5 to 2.3.6 update.
- To jimbridgman for his Utility to safely get us back to GB from ICS.
- Another big thanks to alteredlikeness, cogeary, & nitroglycerine33 (and possibly some others) for the pulldown notification quick toggles.
- And another thanks to nitroglycerine33 for his Bootstrap app

Correct me if I'm wrong, but when you get to the stock ICS leak it changes the boot loader. So if I flash yours it will work great because I already have ICS as a base. However if I flash back to GB it will try to revert back to the GB boot loader and BRICK me......unless I use Jim's handy ICS back to GB script. But a stock fxz will kill ya.

I ordered this phone because the specs looked good and it was $250 instead of $450 (Damaged box, but still 1 year warranty), I knew it had a locked bootloader and was pretty disappointed about it, but I'm glad there is still some activity here, thanks for your contribution . I'm crossing my fingers for an unlocked bootloader soon and lots of awesome roms!.

You are partly correct. Yes, flashing the ICS leak did change your bootloaders, however the older ICS leaks (i.e. - not this one) would let you downgrade. So if you are not on THIS build you will be able to use Jims script to go back to GB without bricking. I should have specified and will change the OP.

Yup, as long as you aren't already on this leak: With Jims GB => ICS Utility
I have only tested this from the ICS Leak version that I mentioned in step 1 of the OP.
Hopefully others that are on the Searet or other ICS builds found here and have successfully gone back to GB from ICS can comment with and let us know which builds are safe to flash back from.
Maybe we could even start another thread if there isn't one with the builds listed that are safe back to GB from.

I did a full wipe and i don't think i was supposed to. I'm going to fzx back and start over. This time im not going to do a full wipe when flashing this rom, just cache and dalvic. If that doesn't work i have a few more ideas to try out. This rom was running smoother than the first ics leak so I'm bound and determined to get it where i want it.

Ooops, yeah don't do a full wipe after flashing it because my script writes to the data partition to add the extra apps.
I will get you the stock camera back later this evening. I realized that it is named Blurcamera.apk so it got yanked when I de-blurred this bad boy

Yes it can. Just make sure that after you install Titanium Backup, that you go into the preferences and change your backup folder location to somewhere on your extSdCard (external SD card).
And when you backup, make sure you check off only what you want.
And if you have a different launcher installed from the market, I think you need to back up that up too if your backing up home screen widgets. Either way, it shouldn't hurt.

Totally up to you brother.
I am going to release versions with "data wipe during flash" a little later on tonight. And then I am going to build an RS release tomorrow. The problem I am having is where I live and the maximum upload speeds. It takes me 4 hours to upload each ROM, and there is no higher speeds available here. So I will always try to make these as perfect as I can before I push them out.
Lol. And last night the first one failed after 3 hours of waiting and not using the internet so that I wouldn't interfere with any of the bandwidth......

A little "moving around" and whatnot. If your already on one of scrosler's stock builds then just stay. Or try it out and see how it feels.
A lot of the other SGS3's for different carriers have TONS to choose from. I thought it would be nice to add some more choices and variety.
And scrosler taught me almost everything I know when it comes to ROMs. So this is very similar.
But is it different from scrosler's stock builds?
Yes. I built it using a different process.
Is it better than scrosler's stock builds?
NO. Like I said, he taught me what I know.

Thank you to my beta testers: justjackyl, nickster1, & djlamontagneIII
Anyone from the old team still have the g2x and want in, hit me up!
This is my Rom if you brick your phone its not my fault. You flash this at your own risk
So then thanks go out to x0xhellx0x for showing me how to build and also for letting me test all this time on the different devices!! Thanks to Warlock for doing what he does! Thanks to Faux for his kernels, without which HF wouldnt be. Thank to CM for the rom base. Thanks be to Volk, TOG, and all the previous HF Team members for which I helped maintain! It was through all that, that my desire to build came about. So with all that said and done, I personally wish to thank you, the end user. For without you we would just make stuff for ourselves and have no way to share and bs about it. So thank you for enjoying our HellFire Roms!!!

.:How to make a Log_Cat:.
Ok so some folks have no clue how to get a log_cat to show errors or FC's, here is how to do it:
1. Grab your self a log_cat app such as aLogcat (free) - logcat or Log Viewer (logcat) or similar.
2. If your issue IS NOT CONSTANT REBOOTS then after installing one of the above apps or similar then open it up and attempt to do what you did to get the error or FC. Then go back to the log_cat app and export the file for us to view.
3. Edit the log_cat if your familiar to show the error or not if your unfamiliar.
4. If your issue is constant reboots then you need to plugin via usb to your pc and get the log_cat via adb or using an adb app for win or ubuntu such as Android Commander or Droid Explorer
5. Once log_cat is exported/gathered POST IT IN THIS THREAD. Dont matter how. Link it, use '[ code ] [ /code ]' (<- without spaces of course), or your choice just get us the info.
.:Wickedest Tip Ever for XDA'ers:.Ok so ima take this moment to add a wicked tip to make your xda reading ability much better. Some peeps know, some dont.
So basically in the xda app via your pc click on your USER CP -> Edit Options -> Number of Posts to Show Per Page -> select 50.
In the xda android app go to (if your rocking the latest version btw) more -> settings -> Posts per page -> select 50.
I cant tell you how many times Ive read peeps complaining about having to go through hundreds of pages to read 10 posts at a time. Please do your self a favor and change the above two settings. You wont regret it.

Nice work! This rom is slick. Congrats on your first rom dapharoah. This build is really one to be proud of.
Thanks bro!
Haven't flashed in several months, may have to give this one a go. I'm on newest baseband, wish the BT audio bug was fixed. Might have to revert BB if everything else is as good as expected.
Thanks for keeping things going for the G2x
Thanks for the ROM. My phone was sad without being flashed for so long....
Quick request, would you mind updating the instructions to let us know at what point we have to flash the zip for the old baseband off we are still using it?
( I'm assuming we have to flash it at one point, please pardon me if I'm wrong....)
Thanks a lot

Just flash the zip right after you flash the rom and gapps. If you do that you'll be fine.
Super excited for a new hfp build! Thanks guys! Will have to flash tonight.

Has this been updated with the latest cm commits?
Thinking about switching from teamsek's 135.4 build.
Would love to see more cherry picks added. Thanks for giving people something to flash for a while though.
So... can't find the link to your gapps, just the old one.

Oh no....thank you! You pushed me toward app development and I am happy to say patent pending! I gotta admit, I am not amazed at all....if people knew of your commitment they would not be surprised that this is your first out. Simply the best rom out here for the 2x. People please take the time to use, look through, and abuse this rom. That is the ONLY way you can understand the sheer brilliance. Awesome job bro! G2X + Da-pharoah = relevance! Proud day bro, proud day!!!!!
