Sorry guys,
But the first task that the modertaor committee asked me to do was to clear up the development section of each of my moderated device.
So incase you havent found your Question/App/request/ or something to that effect anymore in the developement section where you originally posted, its because I have moved to the right section.
I know it may come off as an inconvenience to some, but in the long run, I am sure it will benefit all
Cheers!

Is probably because of the fact that people who really knows the answer do not care to read this part of the forum. Agree people?
There are plenty of people who read this section of the forum every day and come up with answers.
chill.
Do people really read this section? and answer?
Shalom Nir,
In almost 2 years of daily reading in the forum I have to admit I hardly read the question section... Look for yourself at any given moment - over 600 view the hack part, less than 10 in the question part...
Do the math - it is x60 likely to get an answer if it is published in the hack part. Not that you are not right, it is against human nature..
hehe. the questions & answers section only exists for about... 2 weeks now... that might be the reason
if you post in the development and hacking now you are asked to post here (or yelled at) and your thread may be moved or deleted. people are in that section to work on or download software, not to answer questions like "which is better, throttle launcher or wad"
as the section grows more and more, and people become more aware of it, they don't answer your questions there.
Another thing, when people log on they usually do look through the questions section to see if they can be a help, but if they can't then they move along. in other word people don't "dily-daly" around, they get the job done and then move on.
percisely put.
Every time I visit this site, I pay a visit to the Questions and asnwers forum. (since the QandA section has existed) First I check my previous posts to see if I can help those people first, then I search the QandA section to see if I can help with some of the new questions. If I can Help, I do try, if I can't I don't say anything and I leave to begin my own searching and reading, I constantly check back to New Posts to see if anyone has any new quetions I may be able to help with as well. This section does not show many people visiting because you don't need to stay long such as in the DandH section. there just isn't that much reading to do here as there is there.
Well put answers...
Sorry for playing the devil's advocate for you guys. I just pointed out what seems obvious. i did not even notice the Q&A section is that young... Silly me.
OK, you got me, from now on I am going to pay a visit to this section (as I just did). I don't post much but I am a WM user for 3 years now, starting with ETEN G500 , moving on with HTC P3600 and hopefully getting a touch HD as soon as it is supporting 3G in the US (yes, i still hope it will in the near future against current posts). My poor trinity is my witness, as there isn't one WWE ROM I did not test...
Since i am not a cooker, nor a talented graphic designer, I will try to help on this section as much as I can. Thanks for all the cookers , they are the ones to blame I hardly sleep since i was introduced to this forum...
i'll drink to that
Theoretically I agree with those defending the section. However, I just posted a question and 368 people are in dev and hacking and 1 person is in Q&A....me. Maybe it will take a little time for people to journey over that way. we shall see.
it doesn't matter how many people are in the Dev&Hack section and how many in the Q&A section.
the dev&hack section is NOT intended for questions, it's intended for Development and Hacking.
the fact that people spend most of their forum time there is natural because they can get the latest updates for their apps.
you can't expect people to sit in the Q&A section, it's pointless. as joel said, you pass by, check if there's something you can solve, and move on.
I didnt want to post this in any particular thread because i dont want to flame on anybody, but if your thread is a question about functionality, it does not belong in the general section. Please post things where they belong to help keep the place tidy. This sections should be for general discussion, not really troubleshooting. Thanks guys.
I have thought this (or similar things) over the last few days. More and more people seem to be posting very similar threads, and repeating questions that have been already asked (& answered) - not to mention threads that don't really seem to have a purpose.
As a fellow noob, I suggest that we don't clutter up the board with duplicate issues and things posted in the wrong forum. I don't want to wear out our welcome. We need xda!
Is there an easy way to move a thread if you have already posted it in general rather than Q&A?
I don't know if it's the same here, but at most boards I'm on you can ask someone to report your post and leave a message requesting that the thread be moved by the mod.
Usually you can't report your own posts, is why you have to ask someone else.
I'm bumping this so it hits the top again.
Now that we have one-click root and one-click bootloader tools for everyone, this forum has exploded, which is to be expected. However, because of this, the HOX XL forums are getting flooded with redundant threads being started and the same posts being posted.
Lets start things off right by first, searching the forums for a thread thats already been started and look for people that may have already encountered what you are experiencing and possibly have a fix for. If not, then you can post in that ALREADY EXISTING thread instead of starting a new thread.
When starting a new thread, it needs to go in the right section. If its a question, then it needs to go in the Q&A section. If its a generalized thread about something related to the HOX, then it goes in the General section.
NOTE: Questions should not be posted in the General section. The Development section is STRICTLY made for development. A new thread should not be started in the Development thread unless it is to introduce a new tool/guide/rom/kernel/radio... anything dev related. If you start a new thread in the Development section that is not development related, your thread will be deleted and you will be infracted. Let this be your final warning.
With all of this falling into place, the forums will be much cleaner and will function more smoothly. With that, the developers will be able to address issues more efficiently and will not feel overwhelmed. The last thing we want is for our developers to take time away from developing because of redundant posts asking "how do I do this?". We want them to continue on with development for our device, so lets help them out.
Do your part to take some time and search/read the forums because chances are, your question or issue has already been addressed. If this cant be done, then I will have to put on the gloves and start weeding out the trouble makers until this forum is back under control and operating smoothly.
