Hey everyone.
I know a lot of us installed the apk for the new market. I recently uninstalled mine as it had some bugs and I was thinking I would be upgraded to the latest once I did so (by push).
However, nothing! I'm on the old market. I'm on Vodafone UK - are others on Voda still waiting for an update or did I miss the boat by manually installing the apk?

If I am correct 3.1.6 is the newest android market, if not then somebody will correct me
Yh u can install manually if u go to setting and turn of automatic update it won't go back to ur old market when u reboot

Thanks, I may re-install it, but I was wondering if everyone else has been upgraded over the air and it's just me left behind - or whether this is one of the slowest android rollouts in history!
I haven't received mine yet UK t-mobile but the weird thing is my wife has on her froyo wildfire

i'd noticed that the new market got some bugs.. probably if u wont go back !!
i really hate that. currently i am on 3.1.5
so what about about 3.2.0

Does any one know how to get the new improved Android market, I know it's auto updating but how do you like Force the update or something ....

You should be able to pick up the apk in the android themes and apps section of xda. I'm not sure how the market update is being pushed. I just bought the infuse a week ago and the first time I booted the new market was already there.

Whenever I click on download, it says "Starting to download..." but doesn't actually download. What can I do?

ive had this same problem with the new market on leedroids rom, i just reverted to stock+old market for now, thanx for posting this tho maby someone has a fix cuz leedroids new rom is just so awsome and i wana go back >.<

Have you tried clearing market data and cache? I am new to Sensation but on my Captivate this was a fix.
Make cash clean.foce stop market and full restart the phone.it work for me.Sorry for the english

Should I be concerned that the market update has not been pushed to my phone?
Actually, I don't think I've ever had a market update pushed to my phone: I have version 2.3.6
And if I were to manually update the market via this thread:

Hi,
2.3.6 is the latest version of the Market. If you have a problem and you do not receive app updates clear your Market cache and data.
Menu-->Settings-->Applications-->Manage Applications-->All-->Market and then press clear data and clear cache. Then you should be fine.
I just got the new Market, don't want it and can't get rid of it!!

Was pushed to my phone 2 days ago. Why can't HTC just leave it alone!
3.1.5 is great. It's super fast to start, looks great, fast to browse apps, I like the tabs.
Just go download the market manually, no harm will be done.
I did manually put 3.1.3 on mine and it auto updated to 3.1.5

Update it to 3.1.5, it's a lot faster in both first load and and general loading, old one is pony!

But couldnot find much changes, it was said to be update for improving performance, did anyone get the same, if so plz tell me what is the change?

1. Power saver option in quick settings.

Strange but I received 1.50.720.1 (HTC Twitter Client update)?? Maybe I will receive the other one after this.
i also got the twitter client update but it failed to installed via clockworkmod and also through official means (obviously cos i dont have stock recovery) i dont have supercid which im near certain is the problem :L
I got that twitter update too... nothing else...

You need to modify the updater-script file and remove the assert statement which contains cid check. I can attach the modified update file if u need. Plus, you need to have your untouched build.prop. Replace it with you original one the usual way, if you have made customization in it. After this, go to clockworkmod recovery and install it using the "Install zip from sdcard" option.

@hexen88: This particular update is for India version only. But since your software number is upto Twitter client update, I guess this should be releasing in your country anytime.
I don't understand it clearly, u said that this update should be on my phone soon, or it's late? I mean, should be some time ago in the past?

Ok, so I updated to the latest version. Didnt find any major changes except for the 'Power Saver' setting in the drop down menu. As regards the market, I am happy that it wasnt updated. The old market is fast, clean and has bigger fonts. The new market is slow, cluttered and has tiny fonts. Moreover HTC has put there own tab in the market in right hand side with the phone icon. Normally 'My Apps' is there. My guess is that HTC has disabled the market updater in Sensation. Which is a good thing for me. But with the ICS update I think we will have to use the newest market.
This is how the update went. The first ss is the original, then the twitter update, then message about another system update and finally the latest software number.

I have my Sensation S-off, rooted and Super CID and still could not update through clockworkmod!
I am receiving "status 7" error on CWM
Ok, So, I have XE Currency 2.06 installed on my phone. Now, Xe, had come up with version 3.01 and then 3.02. I tried them, did not like them and hence went back to 2.06.
The problem I have is that every time I restart my phone I get a notification that an update has been found. Is there anyway to switch off the notification for specific apps?

First of all copy / backup that version u do like on TB.
2nd:
Just turn off all update notifications on Play market. Just go there once in awhile to update the apps u want.
