quick question on custom rom for a sensation xe - HTC Sensation

hello.
if i flash a custom rom to my sensation xe,
will i lose the 1.5ghz clock speed??
or is the cpu speed locked to my kernel?
im looking at insertcoins latest rom which seems to be popular choice, but it states that it uses the stock 1.2ghz kernel.
any help from sensation xe owners would be great and there rom of choice.
many thanks

If you flash a custom kernel you can set your own cpu speed. So flash the rom of your choice and if they use stock kernel flash faux or bricked kernel

[Q] Custom 2.3.4 Kernel That Runs At 1.2 Ghz?

is there any kernel that has the 3d fix that only runs at 1.2 ? i have issues runnign 1.5 so i tihnk stok is best, especially 4 battery
You can underclock most custom kernels to run at 1.2. If you are running a custom Rom that is overclocked, usually the Dev posts how to get it down to stock. ARHD 3.6.1 is a good example.

[Q] Stock Rom + Stock kernel

Hi, Looking for A stock but improved experience.
Stock 2.3.4 ARA rom for RTL support (If there is a stock ARA rom with RTL and beats would be better)
Allmost stock kernel, only with CPU Freq changed to 1.5
Is that too much to ask? or can someone point me to the right direction?
Hat would be android revolution rom. But yeh I recomend cm7 ha

Sorry guys, I think i've miss lead you.
When I wrote stock I ment HTC stock as "rooted RUU" not stock as android stock.
I want a regular htc experience without any changes exept kernel CPU Freq changed to 1.5 ghz and Right To Left support as in the ARAB RUU's.
Sorry to bump, but still, anybody?
I would flash a custom rom, arhd keeps close to stock sense, but with lots of performance and battery tweaks.
If you are rooted on stock, you will need to find a kernel that will allow you to overclock. From what you are asking, try this - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1216197

[Q] Sensation XE Stock ROM for Sensation?

Hey guys,
I have been locking for a stock ROM of the Sensation XE but all I found where custom ROMS based on the XE.
Are there any working stock Sensation XE ROMs? Couldn't find anything with the search function.
1. S-OFF
2. Super CID
3. Flash the XE RUU
You now have a 100% stock XE, albeit with 1.2GHz rather than 1.5GHz

Thanks.
The Sensation and the Sensation do have the same hardware except for the battery right?
Is it possible to clock the Sensation to 1,5GhZ?
Yep, but you need a custom kernel for it

Is there a ROM which is basically stock but has a custom kernel clocked to 1,5 GhZ?
Kind of turning the Sensation into a Sensation XE?
Yep, InsertCoin or Android Revolution HD (not the Sense 3.5 versions)
OR, my stock XE ROM + the recommended kernel

flash EddyOS stock xe Rom then just flash a different kernel over it. You cannot I don't think have pure stock and custom kernel.

Hi guys,
first of all: i am using currently Android Revolution HD 4.1.9 on my HTC Sensation.
but, i am tired of flashing custom roms and looking for the "best" rom.
Now, i guess i want backt to Stock Rom. With flashing Eddies Rom is it possible to receive OTA's in the future (because of coming ICS).
Thx for short reply...

Look the thing is, as soon as any hint of ICS ROM test or official gets leaked, I guarantee that within 2 days there will be custom ROM's so best stick to non stock for now.
To answer your question, no I don't think it possible to receive OTA updates on EddyOS

Ok MrAngry ;-) yes i know when ICS is released the wolves will come out of the cave and produce a custom rom

Yes, with a rooted phone you can install custom a Kernel or Rom.
Download and install ROMmanager. This will allow you to install Clockworkrecovery. Once that is installed you can download your choice of Kernel - I can personally recommend Bricked or Faux kernels - found elsewhere here on xda. Save the downloaded file to your sd card and select the Install ROM from SD card option in ROM manager.
NOTE: Before you install this, make a NAND backup - you will get prompted by Rom manager - this will allow you to restore back to your current position if you experience any problems or are unhappy with the update.
All this information is available in the forums http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1109
FS61 post 13 stock sensation le rom from europe, works great in stuttgart, just left there.

best Kernel for MIUI?

I'm switching from ICS to the latest MIUI rom that was just released.
Since the kernel is clocked at 1.7 I need to use a different one.
So whats the best one for it? Im aiming for battery life and I dont need more than 1.2 or 1.5.
Just download system tuner or setCPU from the market and adjust the clock speeds. The trinity kernel works very well with miui and the sensation.

[Q] htc sensation overclock

hello guys,
i can't figure out how to actually overclock my htc sensation. i installed SetCPU but it does not go further then 1,2 ghz. How do i set a higher CPU speed?
i rooted my htc sensation(regular version). i first did s-off with Juopunutbear and later i installed clockworkmod. I installed the custom rom Revolution Hd,
the special version for the htc sensation. I read on the internet that the speed would be set to 1,5Ghz as a standard but with mine it isnt:/.

depends of what kernel you installed when you were installing the rom.. if you installed stock kernel you can't overclock you have to flash custom kernel than you can overclock the up to 1,8 ghz ( some phones can take the 1,8 ghz others don't) i'm now overlocked to 1,7 ghz
