[Q] can't install apps, no space - HTC Sensation

i updated cm7 alpha7 to alpha8, now i cant install apps, the first 18 apps installed just fine, but the other 39apps wont install, it keeps telling me i dont have enough space/memory, but i got around 3,5gb free on my sd card.. how do i solve this?

apps don't go on the SD card, they go on internal memory - which is 1GB so shouldn't be an issue

solved
after reboot problem seems to be solved/gone.

[Q] Install apps to sd card?

Hi all
I would like to intsall all apps to my SD Card, because the internal memory of this phone isn't so much. I would like to use my SD Card for default install location. Is there any way to do it?
please refer to this post, everything you need for chacha
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1255107
ps: unless we have a CM7 rom for chacha, or we have to move the apps to SD card after installation
The suggested Low memory actions there are not looking good to me. Factory data reset will clear all my accounts and setup and one day i'll get the message again.
I want to solve the problem, not to find an alternate solution
So basically I still would like to install all my apps on my SD Storage.
ps
Thanks for the thread.

[Q] No space to install apps.

I have installed Cyanogenmod 7.2 to my Samsung Galaxy i5801 and it seems to be working OK, mostly. I am having to try to reinstall several of the apps I had previously but each time I try I get a message that there is insufficient space to install.
I have checked the reported space and it seems I have 0 internal storage and 14GB external storage. I have tried to change the storage location for downloaded apps to both internal and external with no difference.
Any suggestions for a solution? I have tried searching the forum and, although I see other posts asking similar questions there don't appear to be any answers.

You can try to reflash the rom or you can partition your SD card and use data2sd.
The problem with the install location is, that you need to have free space on the internal storage in advance.
The app is first downloaded into a container on the internal storage, and then installed (at least partly) to the internal storage. So you should have at least appSize * 2 of free space.
Another app you could try is Link2SD. It moves mostly everything of an app to the sd-card. But for that you need to partition your card. Just google for that app
TRIED Link2SD [ BUT NOT WORKING ]
Link 2 SD is best to Move apps to SD Card ...........

If you are using Marcellusbe's build then Link2SD should work. Just ignore the error and reboot the phone.

I use marcellusbe's CM 10 only .....
I rebooted the phone ...
But it is not at all movig the apps to external SD
did you install the rom with odin? i had exactly the same problem, reinstalling the rom from clockwork mod recovery fixed it, or install the mtd version from recovery.

[Q] Unsufficient storage available problem

Hello everyone,
This is my first post here. I have a Samsung Galaxy Ace 5830i and today I bought a new SD card because the old one was crap. I had this problem before, I have it now. When I try to download an application from the Android Market, there is always this error ''There is unsufficient storage available''. I checked and I had 23 free MB of Device memory and 1.8 GB free on my SD card. I read a lot of articles about this problem and tried many ''solutions'' and nothing fixed it. I will be really, really thankful if anyone can help me fix this. Cheers!
Try MarketFix by Felipe Aaon
You could also use Link2sd to make room on your internal storage.
the error you are facing is because once your internal storage is filled by approx. 85-90%, it shows the error - Insufficient Storage available
Try moving your apps to sd-card from settings/apps. if you moved them already, have you rooted your phone? If yes, then you can partition your sd-card to make space on internal storage. this can be done either Minitool Partition software for PC or through your CWM or TWRP recovery(needs root and custom recovery flashed)
what it does is, it takes a part of your sd card and converts it for internal storage.
If you have problem with the Playstore, you can root and install a newer version of the playstore. try this though i may not be sure about this
Google for the method as i cannot posts links currently
Cheers

[Q]emulated sd card problem

Hi guys!
I have been using my s2plus for quite some months now.But the thing that i hate the most about it is the emulated sdcard. The space where all the apps and games get installed is on the phone memory, which is emulated as the sdcard. So even if I'm installing apps and games on my sdcard,it is actually being installed on the phone memory. As a result the phone memory gets too low after installing like two large games, which is really irritating.I have a 32gb class10 sdcard on my phone which is of no use as everything gets installed on the phone memory.Wonder if installing a custom rom would solve this problem.
Any help is appreciated
hmm when i unmounted real sdcard some apps was not available so he really move apps. But if you want move OBB files you must use Foldermount (requires root)

[Q] Can't install a game!

I am running an SGH-T599 with CM11 4.4.4. I am trying to install Mortal Kombat X, but every time I try, I get an error saying "Couldn't install app. Not enough storage available on the external storage," or something close to that. I know for a FACT that I have enough room on the external SD card. The problem is that it's trying to install on the internal memory, which I don't have enough space on. (The internal memory is only 1.44 GB, the game is 1.5) Is there a way to get it to install the data on to the SD card by default? I was able to do this on my old ZTE Savvy, which ran Android 4.1.2. Thank you for the help, as this problem is HIGHLY annoying.

Try this: Set Install Location to SDCard by default
If that doesn't help, see how to do it using Link2SD here:
How to completely setup for using Link2SD
(It requires that your phone is rooted)
Thanks, but I have no access to a computer.
Is there a way to partition the SD card without a computer?

Yes, check this: Partition SD Card from rooted phone
Make sure you have a backup of the memory card safe somewhere, since data can be lost in the process depending upon the partition size
What about receiving no error just the ''Could not install app''?
I can install from Playstore but thats not the point. Should work both ways
I also could not install from playstore, my internal storage has 3gb free how to fix?
Try to delete the google play services cache
Have you tried it?
