Why did u choose that Rom over the other.

do i need to dl a radio for coredroid?? im new to the sensation, i just came from the g2x and we didnt hav radios lol i just dont wanna deal with it really i mean there simple to install but i jus dont like the extra work (laziness) .. and also is the 5.0.0.8 cwm ext 4 compatible?
ARHD
You have picked the two I like the best. ARHD 3.6.3 is the one I use so that I can change the lock ring on since it is sense 3.0. It is very stable, and I have not had any problems with it.
I have not changed my radio at all.
And you should get CWM 5.0.2.0, it's the latest.

Hi,
The thing is to flash mods using the same base as your ROM.
If you check my sig , I have battery mods for ARHD base 2.3.4 and 2.3.5
Check with your ROM'S dev,to see which base you are using, and then flash the appropriate mod.
ALWAYS MAKE A NANDROID BACKUP BEFORE YOU INSTALL A MOD
For beats I installed THIS MOD ,because I am on base 2.3.5 using Sense 3.5
Or you could install ARDH 3.6.3 XE which contains beats anyway.

You can install anything you want, you just have to know what it is you want to do. Lets say you want to have beats audio (using the previous posters example). You know you have a stock ROM, version 2.3.4 most likely, so just find a beats audio only mod for 2.3.4 bases running Sense 3.0.
Or, as the previous poser says, you can install a whole ROM that already includes it. ARHD basically simulates a Sensation XE by removing the under-clocking on the CPU thats there stock bringing it up to 1.5 Ghz, adding beats audio, and overall just smoothing out the ROM. It looks the same as the stock ROM, it just works better.
The best thing to do is just make a backup of how it is now through recovery, then try stuff out and see what you like. You can always restore your backup and it will be right back to how it was before you did anything.
~T.J.
EDIT: Saw you came from ARHD. Sorry to hear about the bad luck. But yes, you can install mods without a full ROM.

Yeah I did tried 3 of the most recent arhd Rom, it is smooth and fast but has too many glitches on my phone. I tried installing the recommended radio it does fixed my signal issue, but after 3 days of using my phone keeps goin on a black screen when somebody calls me or text me so I decided to revert to stock

Interesting. Did you try turning the CPU back down to 1.2 GHz? I have ran 3.6.1 and only had one reboot before I switched to the beta kernel, never had any issues with 3.6.2 which came with the same kernel I upgraded to with 3.6.1, but I switched to bricked 0.91 kernel and its even better. Tried 3.6.3 and had a bunch of FC problems and issues so I restored back to 3.6.2.
Basically they all have worked well for me, but I've read of some people needing to stay at 1.2 GHz because of problems you have described.

I haven't tried restoring to 1.2ghz , I just restored my phone back to stock I got tired of trying all the versions and seems all of the versions I flashed had issues on my phone, don't get me wrong but I do love the speed and smoothness of arhd its just those fcs, unstable signal and not to mention the black screen issue. But like you said I haven't tried using different kernel I just used the one that came with the Rom and the other faux kernel that one of xda member suggested the beta 10. I even tried the insertcoin 3.3.9 and same issue with signal. I'm on tmobile carrier I don't know if that causes the signal issue with most of the Rom I flashed.

Well, I'm on T-Mobile also and have had no issues, thats strange. Did you flash the recommended radio also? Maybe you need to try a different one if so.
I really like the Bricked kernel, it runs faster/smoother and the battery life is better than the Faux kernels I used - at least what I've seen so far. I run Sense 3.0 so Im limited to Bricked 0.91, but its still plenty good from what I've seen. He is developing more for Sense 3.5 kernels at this point I think.
Anyway, if it was me, I would try one of the ARHD ROMs with a bricked kernel (the kernel can also affect your reception I believe). If you still have issues, try clocking it back to 1.2 Ghz. I too ran IC for a little while, but finally just settled back to ARHD for a few reasons.

Hi,
Have you tried a custom ROM with the original radio?
I know it won't be matched,but sometimes it's a needs must situation.
Use the radio that will give you the BEST signal.
It might just be that it's the only one that will work properly in YOUR area.

Hi,
I have this wierd problem with my sensation. I found out that if I have my camera on and it falls a sleep it won't unlock any more. No ring nothing, buttons glow but a solid black screen. The only way out is a battery pull.
It's with photo camera and video camera mode. no other apps suffer fom this.
I've tried other roms but nothing. I currently run ARHD 3.6.7
I found out on accident but it is realy annoying me now
Any of u with the same problem or ideas?
Same problem with the ARHD 4.1.7
This is a known issue with faux's kernels. (included in ARHD)
Don't let the phone go to sleep while running camera or install an app that keeps the screen on, while you use the camera.

I really like this Rom personally....I'm extremely impressed with battery life on this Rom. ALso extremely impressed with the ota updating of a ROM , if viper has a upstate you simply use the software update check And the update is sent to you ota. The whole process takes two minutes! And it updates flawlessly!! It has some special things like venom hub, and venom tweaks. It's brand new and the developers are actively fixing things if it's a issue. They were speedy to come up with the first upstate to repair some issues. They listen to the problems if any and make changes if necessary to the Rom.I'm impressed with Many Aspects of this Rom . It's always best to try it out for yourself and see what you think. Everyone's different and everyone has different opinions. So try it out and come to your own conclusion. Personally I really like it since the update! Hope this helps you some ! Remember It's always best to come to your own conclusions by trying things for yourself!

3.036 bricked 3.0 v 1.36 This is the kernel information for the stock kernel for viper Rom.
It's given me personally the best battery life I've ever had with everything set to default. I also turn off led, sync only email , turn off feedback on keyboard, turn off logging, turn backlight down to dim. All these little things help too . Hope this helps you.

I would suggest that you flash the rom yourself and feel what fits your taste.. Just flash the rom with the correct procedures and hopefully you won't experience the bugs being reported by other users.. We have to understand that viperss was just released recently and expect some minor glitches like any other rom.. The chefs are continously working very hard to achieve great user satisfaction.. Who are we to tell them what to do, we are lucky they are sharing their hard work for free..
just an opinion..
That's what Um doing today.

"sweeptoweake" simply does not decrease or increase the battery life, but is quite comfortable to wake up the screen. Of course you'll want ZRAM, this is just to prevent the SENSE restarts. In my case I use the 3D and 2D options to best. And all that is left by default. But the battery life will depend much of the ROM you use and what type of user you are ... good luck!
Well the kernel I have listed is that a good one for batt life.

That is completely different from one user to another. It really depends on what appa you use, how often, how much wifi/3g/4g you use and their signal strength etc etc...
Usually badass works great, and it is more juice friendly than ondemand.
OC the gpu is usually draining some.
But again, it's very peraonal.
Please keep in mind to run a few cycles on whatever configuration you try. A day is usually not enough and no two days are the same

The problem is you are S-ON, so kernels wont flash properly.
Either you need to S-OFF or you need to repacked the zImage file into an existing boot.img file (dsixda kitchen and cygwin needed) then use the command "fastboot flash boot boot.img"
Personally I would go with S-OFF, its so much easier and less faffing about than the other way
