I followed the steps and installed the 3.2 market on my inspire. I'm running the latest 1.10.7 MIUI with the latest TalonAce kernel 1.0.6.
I even downloaded an app and it installed correctly. This seems to work.
If I go into Market>Settings I can see that in fact i'm using build version 3.2.0.
Haven't noticed much difference though as far as looks. Maybe just the size on the install button and location of it?
But it works if you follow the instructions.
EDIT: The ICS wallpaper.apk works as well. There are some pretty good looking wallpapers on there. But nothing special about the app.

Ok, so I have a Nexus S, not 4G just the I9020A.
Up until now I kept stock Android on it, and the most creative I got was using ADW launcher EX.
After seeing ICS and waiting SO long, I just had to have it, I can't wait on Google anymore.
Anyways, I have a few burning questions
1. I'm running Cyanogenmod 9 downloaded from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1356228, is this the LATEST version? I know it's called alpha 11 but I keep reading Alpha 13, can't find it to download though, so confusing.
2. Wifi isn't supported yet, right? It's not just my phone?
3. USB transfer is so sporadic, is this normal?
4. The Market barely works. I managed to download the Twitter app, and that's it, from other videos I saw, ICS automatically re-installed all their previously downloaded apps, no such thing happened for me.
5 - most important question of all - With all of this rooting, flashing, custom ROM's etc, when the OFFICIAL Ice Cream Sandwich for the Nexus S gets released by Google, will I still be able to download that and install it over the air like previous updates? (When I had stock gingerbread it just notified me and bippity boppity boo)
Or will I have to do something else?
I really love ICS but the ROM still feels just sort of like something to hold me over to the official update.
Thank you in advance!
Custom ics roms arnt ready for primetime just yet boss. Ive had the most stability with drew garens ics builds. He makes awesome roms. Id link his site but its prolly against the rules here so to get to the site just type in his namedotcom

1,2,3,4.. alpha11 is the older version of cm9, thats why your having those issues. the more recent cm9 is much better. alpha13 is here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=20220591&postcount=2236
also, there are cm9 "kangs" these get compiled on a daily basis, so contain the most current cm9 code. cm9 kangs are the same as cm9 but compiled by someone else, whose not part of the cm team, but do get compiled from the same cm9 source. sometimes they contain cherries, extras that are waiting to get approved for cm. you can get them here, the latest is always on top, and the cherries are listed to the right. the latest one is just cm9 without cherries http://fitsnugly.euroskank.com/skankwich/crespo/ and there is a thread supporting kangs here at xda http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1369146

Introducing... Ice Cream Sandwich transitions for your HTC Hero! This flashable .zip adds the Ice Cream Sandwich transition effects to your phone! (video will be up soon)
Flash it like you would any other .zip; put it on your SD card, boot into recovery, and flash it from there. If it screws up your phone, and it's a 2.3.7 based ROM (like Hero Deck), then flash the framework backup-signed.zip from recovery.
Compatibility- Hero Deck 1.3 (2.3.7) is confirmed working for sure, but it should also work on any 2.3.7 based ROM that isn't themed. If it doesn't, let me know, and I'll make a seperate version for CM7.
*NOTE*
Sadly, if you are using LauncherPro/GO Launcher EX, the opening/closing app transitions will NOT work, as these Launchers have their own animations for those activities. All other animations will be ICS style. If you are using the stock Gingerbread Launcher, or ADW, opening/closing app transitions will be ICS style.
I take no credit for the animations, nor the steps of the hack, I simply performed them and am distributing this to make other people's lives easier. Credit to the hack goes to capez, with his tutorial.
I am running CM7 on a Droid X2. Will the file here work for it or are you still working on a CM7 flashable zip like you mentioned? I have seen the tutorial on how to make it yourself but havent felt confident enough in doing the work. So if this flashable zip will work for me, I will for sure give it a try. Thanks.

Maybe he was talking about the 3D style launcher. For third party apps I think Launcher Pro is the best solution. I've used it on my old Hero and it was very fast.
he was talking about the 2.3 gallery view...

That "version" as you say, is the phone's name. The i9023 and the i9020(A/T) is a different device(Nexus S as well but different). Maybe you flashed a wrong ROM what has the i9023 in its .prop file.
So I think you have an i9020 device with a ROM what has the identity of a i9023. I don't know if that matters in the rom, but i think not.
So where can I found the right one ( I think makes difference as when I press on setting alway appear a red square line) so I would like to try the I9020t version
I guess I am more green than I thought when it comes to this stuff, but I have an OG Asus TF101 with ICS 4.0.3. All my old apps from Honeycomb are there, work fine, but when I try to update or if I uninstall and go to re-install I am told they are incompatible for many, like HBO Go.
Am I missing a setting somewhere that will let me install these? That's for helping me out in advance with my noobery.
Did u try using AppBrain and fast web installer That is what we use when we modify build.props and change density's and the market gives us incompatibility issues so it may work the same when going from HC to ICS
Still tells me that my device is incompatible.
what ics means?
CM 9? yes?

Ice Cream Sandwich (android 4)
Sent from my U8800 using xda premium
Alright, so I'm having issues.
After not turning my completely stock Xoom on since February, I booted her up today. The Ice Cream Sandwich update downloaded and I tried to install it, but it errored out, and when I rebooted, it said it was up to date even though it was still on Honeycomb.
So I say, well screw it! I'll root and ROM it then!
So I did this:
(new user I can't post links, but search youtube for "Root Motorola XOOM with Android 4.0.3 Platform Ice Cream Sandwich"
Which seemed to work. Superuser is installed and I'm rooted, ROM manager flashed the newest version of ClockWorkMod for me, and I thought I was on my way to some seriously upgraded software.
I thought wrong.
I don't want to leave it where it is because it's on version 3.2.1, build HTK75D. Not acceptable. I can't install the OTA update anymore because when I try to, it gives me the picture of the Android with a ! in a triangle next to it and I have to hard reset. Okay so I'll download something better than a stock ROM from ROM manager. Right? Wrong.
Apparently since I never sent it off or the 4G upgrade(I never wanted VZW service on it, I only wanted to use it wifi, I got it for free winning a sales contest working at verizon), it seems that I am horribly limited in the ROMs I can pick from. Team EOS seems to be a good pick, but NONE of their software is downloadable, all of the links are broken, both on ROM manager and through these forms/their website.
I've tried installing a couple of stock updates through ClockWork as update.zip error out when I try.
The one that does this is the file "IMM76L from HTK75D" which should be precisely what I need:

Goo.Im which is where teameos, and many other roms are hosted, is having g some serious problems today. Apparently it is being fixed.
The teameos ROMs are great! So my suggestion is a little patience until they get thing repaired then install eos JB.

Ah, well, I should have figured as much.
So I actually freaked out a little and used the utility to restore the factory image. So thirty minutes and countless reboots later, I'm on Ice Cream Sandwich and fully stable - yay! But, ideally I would like to get on one of the EOS rooms since I hear they're great.
So... at the risk of sounding inept... what now? Thanks.
Unfortunately you picked the weekend that Goo.im is updating their servers.
please be aware of upcoming maintenance on 8/11/2012 and 8/12/2012 during night/early morning CST as I work on migrating to a new series of servers for the main web interface and distribution servers, as well as dropping in our new switch for higher speeds. The Team EOS ROMs are the result of a ton of HARD work by some very dedicated folks. I am on their Stingray Jellybean rev 125 and have seen them fix every glitch that has come up.
