So I've followed the directions and loaded Moray, it was all nice till my browser crashed, alot of apps FC and then it rebooted. I couldn't get into bootloader and it would bootloop anytime it would boot up.
At this point I've reflash the recovery image and just loaded the stock rooted 3.2.2 I have a wifi only xoom and it will not quit bootlooping.
Suggestions?
Try flashing the recommended CWM mod on the Tiamat thread and reflash rom, wipe data, cache and dalvik. If that fails, reflash stock through cwm or adb push
Good luck!

when I wipe data i get the following error.
Error removing /data/data/com/google.android.marvin.talkbackError formatting /data!
Try to push stock system image through adb, then try to wipe again.
Or you could relock and unlock bootloader again. That wipes data

how do you relock?
well that didn't work out too well. Sitting on Logo screen with following error.
Failed image LNX .x0002
Starting RSD mode 2
One Wire: Charger is onnected
Battery charge level: 71%
Boot into bootloader (adb reboot bootloader) and when it reboots type;
Fastboot oem lock
And follow on screen instructions, sane again to unlock, just type unlock.
Good luck!

I ended up pushing the stock img back over through adb, reunlocking... reimaging.... back up and working. Thanks for all the help!
No problem! Glad everything worked out!

Hi
I'm new to this and was recommended to root my phone by a friend
I have a HTC Desire HD on Orange, UK.
Last night I installed visionary, rommanager etc and perma rooted my phone
I recently downloaded the latest version of 'Coredroid DHD' moved it onto my SD card and installed it using ClockworkMod Recovery v3.0.0.6 'installed zip from sdcard' option after turning Radio-Off.
Anyway - the install said complete and I rebooted my phone, and it just hangs on the start screen.... I can boot to 'Fast boot' and after hitting restore on fast boot I can get back into clockworkmod recovery...but I can't boot my phone
Does anybody know what I can do? I ideally want this mod installed, but if not I just want it reverted back so I can have my phone back
Thanks
Dave
you need to wipe (recovery -> wipe data).
Ive already done that....formats fine and then still just hanging on the first screen - do you know anything else I can do?
Just an update - I've tried installing 2 other Mods and after successful install in the ClockworkMod Recovery and Rebooting....the HTC logo still hangs.
I really need some help here!
Did you try searching for a usb recovery mode? I'm sure there are flash utilities for windows as well.
But before you do that I would try to wipe all data except for what's on the sd card!!
Wipe data factory
Clear caches
Clear SD ext. ยก paranoid !

Hi this is my second thread here..
My nexus s is stucked on google logo screen, maybe it was coz by beiing battery drained one morning and i just saw it on nexus s splash screen loop, i removed battery and turned it on but still on google logo..so i boot to recovery mod and restore it with my nandroid back up, but hanged.
My phone was unlocked using superoneclick, and installed rom manager and flashed CWM 3.0.0.5..
I can still access my phones recovery and tried to flash every rom that i had on my sdcard but when it reboot still stocked in google logo
I tried to put stock ROM which i newly downloaded and copy to my sdcard via recovery mod (mount/unmount sdcard) but when i run it i got installation aborted. I tried to unzipped the stock rom and put the backup on my cwm folder again via recovery mod(mount/unmount sdcard) when i run it i got MD mismatch..i cannot modify my etc/recovery because my phone is not booting and i cant use the file explorer to that too.
I tried the ODIN rom both I9020/i9023 i got success (pass) status, but when it reboot it still stuck on google logo..
Im thinking that this is now a hardware problem, i tried every method but it does not solved the problem.. But im still having hope because i can stiil accesss my bootloader and i can flash CWM,i can access recovery mod i can mount sdcard etc.. (also my recovery keeps returning to stock recovery so i have to reflash all over again every boot (google logo))
Anything more i could do which can save my phon?
Did you wipe system data, wipe cache, advanced>wipe dalvik-cache before flashing any rom?
If that doesn't work, try ADB pushing the zip file to your SD card instead of using clockwork recovery mounting.

Yeah i wiped those..i also trie pushing zip files via adb but i still get "installation aborted" and MD mismatch...
I would redownload the file then. The download may have been corrupted, hence the md5 mismatch.

which brwoser should be used when downloading?actually i also done redownloading but i still get md mis-match.
Do you think i lost superuser permission, because my recovery always reflash to stock recovery..
MD mismatch means the file is corrupted through either the downloading process or transferring to SD process.
Try flashing a different rom?

ve tried flashing different roms, i get installation aborted, and MD mismatch..
I tried flashing roms/and nandroid backup which was saved on my sdcard, when i flash them they run well and i get installation completed, but when it reboots it still stucks on google logo..when i flash the nandroid backup i noticed that it takes so long when its flashing the datas, but after waiting for a while it still succesful but when i reboot im still in google logo..
How long do you actually wait at the Google logo? If you wipe cache it usually takes a bit longer to actually boot up.

Try this
Connect to your computer and lock your bootloader using "fastboot oem lock" via adb.
Once the bootloader is locked unlock it again using "fastboot oem unlock". This wipes out everything on on your phone(including SD card). Then WITHOUT REBOOTING follow the instructions in this thread to flash CWM and get root access through superuser.

All,
I updated to the latest RebelRom today but had an issue with the email client so tried to re-flash the previous version (forgot to make a backup...). Somehow during this re-flash the phone rebooted so the flashing never took.
Now when I go into recovery(TWRP) I get the TWRP splash screen and then it boot loops.
I've tried flashing the recovery again (2.4.0.0) and flashing the boot.img again however this continues to happen.
I tried a factory reset and it too just boot loops on me.
Any suggestions or is this bricked good?

Ruu? Can you go into some details, please?
Shouldnt have to ruu.. Download latest twrp. Verify checksum. Fastboot flash recovery recovery.img then download clean rom or viper put on sd, wipe cache, dalvik, system, factory reset in twrp and install rom.

I can flash the recovery fine but I can't get into recovery. Just the splash screen then it reboots to the HTC screen and loops.

If it's boot looping then you're not flashing recovery just fine.... If recovery flashed fine then when you select recovery from the bootloader, it would boot to recovery..

Factory reset is not what you think it is. It just formats the user partition. If the ROM is not properly flashed, factory reset isn't going to help. Common mistake, since the term "factory reset" is a bit of a misnomer. It implies that it returns the phone to factory condition, which is quite often not the case.

try to do
Fastboot erase cache
then again install recovery, may be it work for you.
What screen shows up when you choose recovery in bootloader?
Sent from my One X using Tapatalk 2
Do the following:
Turn your HTC On.
Holdbfhe power for 15-20 seconds.
Release, when the device flashes.
Press and hold the volume down button.
Press the power button for 3 seconds, and release.
Keep your finger on the volume down button.
This should take you to bootloader, download the latest
TWRP For your HTC.
Flash it with fast boot flash recovery twrp.Evita.version here.IMG
You should now be able to enter Recovery. I suggest getting the Avatar ROM, experiencing no current errors IMO If this has worked, please reply.

I have S-On. I'm running the latest AOKP build for my phone. All was well but I wanted to flash MIUI Rom. I flashed the boot.img and then tried to flash the rom. I use TWRP. I wiped the cache and dalvik as usual. I have been flashing roms for awhile now but not the MIUI one. When I did the phone rebooted in to fastboot mode. I tried to go to recovery but my recovery wasn't there. I was able to reboot my phone and the AOKP rom was in tact and appeared to be running even though I tried to flash the MIUI. I navigated to ES file explorer and is says the SD card isn't mounted. Everytime I try to boot to recovery my screen goes blank and I have to use the power button depressed to get it to restart. I then used fastboot flasher 2.4 to try to flash the TWRP recovery again. It appeared to take and I got the words fastboot USB. I thought for sure problem was solved. After my phone rebooted again the SD card wasn't mounted and still isn't. I am able to use the phone and AOKP seems to be running as intended but the SD card won't mount. After I flashed TWRP again it still doesn't boot into recovery. I get an EACCES permission failed when I try to move anything to the card or try to access it. I tried team Nocturnal's method for the SD Fix but it didn't work. Am I going to have to flash an RUU file? If so, where can I get that from? Any help????
It looks like your sd is corrupt. Did you factory reset in bootloader? You didn't mention doing a full wipe when you flashed the ROM, you only mentioned cache and dalvik cache, you should always wipe cache/dalvik cache/factory reset in recovery when flashing a ROM. Also, which MIUI did you flash?

I dont believe I did. Using trwp promts me and i follow that. Now i cant get to recovery or flash it. Any other options?
Sent from my One X using xda app-developers app
You might need to RUU but I'm not even sure if that's going to help with your sd problem. It's worth a try though. Run the RUU, flash TWRP, format your sd card. Make sure you have s-off before you run any RUU though or you'll brick.

I cant seem to get s off. Not sure i want to go that route. Any other way to get it working?

I have recently been having problems with TWRP, when I factory reset to install a new rom it rests just fine then when I go to install the new rom the phone reboots and when it has restarted it hasn't actually wiped anything. Is there a better option for a recovery everyone would recommend?
Did you flash the recovery in the twrp app? Reason I asked is cause the app wanted to flash mine to the wrong partition.

I'm not real familiar with using fastboot, when I put this recovery on and unlocked the phone was the first time I ever used it. So how would I go about doing that and what does it do
Clockworkmod
Clockworkmod recovery is available for the M8 but it is not the official version. Link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2708520

TWRP works just fine here. Which version do you have installed? Sure you flashed TWRP for the M8???
And what do you mean with "hasn't wiped anything"?
You do a factory wipe (default under Wipe menu) and when you boot your apps are still there, you don't have to go through setup?
After performing a factory wipe, go to Advanced and save the recovery log. Post it here.

Yeah it doesn't wipe anything the phone restarts and all my apps and their data is still intact. I just finished recovering from a bad situation. I flashed philz touch recovery using flashify and when I went to the recovey to do a backup the screen went black and booted staight into the hboot screen, every time I tried to reboot the phone it would send me to the hboot screen. I finally got twrp back by fasboot from my computer it was the newest twrp I got to flash I believe 2.7.1.0 I tried to restore a backup but all it would was restore the system and stop when it got to system data. I even tried flashing a new rom and that failed also. I then installed the other twrp 2.7.0.2 because I read most people are still ueing it because of problems with theother one. The phone still wouldn't boot or flash a rom but I got the restore to work by choosing not to restore data after rebooting two or three times the phone finally rebooted and all my apps and their data were still the even though I tried to install and new rom three or four times. Im a little worried now about trying to flash anything now. Im not new to android but my last phone was rock solid and I never had to deal with this many head aches. Thanks for any insite you can offer and sorry for such a long post

RUU back to stock using the thread in the development forum. At the end of following the RUU instructions it gives you the option you flash a recovery. Select yes and flash twrp
