Thought I would mention this awesome game, quite new on the Market.
Review here, and also some free licenses and beta testing invites for their next project up for grabs here.
Some users are having trouble installing this to some devices, but the Incredible seems to be running it just fine.

Recently released a beta version of gSettlers to the Android Market. Project started as a class project over a year ago and I've continued working on it in my free time since, with some contributions from a few friends.
One major feature it offers is multiplayer, networked play on separate phones. Currently this only works through WiFi, but hopefully we can get a version with internet play working soon.
We are still are working out a lot of the issues and bugs, so any feedback people can give us would be welcome.

I would be open to collaborate with other developers on this, though I expect it would be hard to try to integrate projects that have been developed independently for too long.
Besides the one you linked, I know Stoneskin was also working on a version as well: forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=698134&page=2
At the least I will be looking at other versions to try to improve my own. From what I've seen of Island Settlers, I like the simplicity of the interface and want to see if I can find some ways to streamline gSettler's interface (I'll admit my interface is pretty bad right now, UI design is not my forte).
I've been working closely with Stoneskin on a settlers Android variant. Its getting pretty dang close to beta. I am confident it will be quite popular.
There are a handful of devs on xda doing different settlers games. I have often thought it would be nice if we could all join forces to create a single game with the best of each dev's variant. But it would probably have to be rebuilt from the ground up.

I just wanted to tell everyone something that was posted on phandroid today. Gameloft is giving out a free game every two hours until the 5th (throughout labor day weekend). All games are also $.99 if you are interested in one that isn't free.

Not available in Canada apparently. The "0.99" thing goes away when you switch the country to Canada and the link they give you is just a link to their online store.

It was a little tricky to port our middleware on Android... several months of work... and we're still fixing issues on some devices.
Great game on my Galaxy Note. The accuracy is monstrous with S-Pen.

i would like to announce that id started to work on a new Game.
Some of you may know Final Fantasy X and Blitzball, im a hughe fan of it.
Thats why im going to make a familier game like Blitzball for Android in 3D.
At the moment im working alone on it, so thats why i thought why not posting it here.
Im looking for people that want to work with me on this Project, i need devs, animaters etc.
Im doing this Game in Unity3d.

Omg, this would be definitely the game I've been looking for since I purchased my first android! I am just a huge fan of final fantasy and blitzball was just amazingly addictive. I wish I had knowledge in programming for android to help you, but it's not the case...but you have my full moral support! And if the project were to be realized, be sure that you would have my donation!

This is an amazing idea, although this thread seems old and dead. However, I'd like to revive this project . Does anyone know about possible copyrights and trademarks surrounding Blitzball?

Just came across this. Sadly I now longer have my Xperia PLAY, wish I did still, bu I moved on to a Nexus 5 a little over a year ago. As most of SNKs games have been playable with the hardware controls I wanted to post this here in case anyone is interested in testing and reporting for others to be aware.
