DSP Manger on 2.3.3 - T-Mobile LG G2x

I have installed many 2.3.3 roms but I find myself coming back to cm7 because the bass seems A LOT better on cm7 rather than just installing the apk. Anybody know why or have a solution?

There's a few apps out there, DSP Manager and MusicFX but I haven't found anything like Voodoo sound for the Galaxy S, which is SICK. We gotta convince supercurio to get an Inspire
Like that would be hard..XD

Ok thanks ill try dsp, does it work with any kernel

You wouldn't have a link to dsp I searched xda and the two dsp zip files I found keep aborting in recovery I don't know if its because I have recovery 3.0

you need a supported kernel like the one in cyanogen 7 to use the DSP Manager app. DSP comes in cyan 7 ROM anyway...
OP did you try enabling the SRS function in audio? i heard it increases the volume.
also if any 2.3 ROMs are out there, a new API lets us now tap in to the volume so this would probably work on any 2.3 ROM:

[Q] LG Video Player

Is there anyway we can get an apk of the default LG video player for CM7 based ROMs possibly, or is it one of those system apk's that doesn't like custom ROMs like the Lg camera? I like everything the CM7 ROMs have to offer, but this is the big thing that is avoiding me from flashing. I'm a frequent video watcher and I love the DTS mobile.
+1

want DTS on my g2x with CM
it would be appreciated alot if i can have default video player with DTS feature(zip or an apk) that i can install on my G2X after flashing a custom rom
I don't think its possible the app requires LG files that aren't present in the cm7/cm9 roms

With DSP manager and a Kernel with voodoo sound, you can get better sound than DTS would ever deliver.
i use mx video player.. works good for me... With DSP manager (i am using Singh UI currently and it says it has Beats Audio) probably thats why.. i like it so far

+1. Unless its an OTA based rom, you can't use any LG apps, whether it be the Camera, Video Player, etc.

Speaker volume difference in roms?Increasing it?

I have been searching far and wide, made posts in other forums and sections, but still nothing. The speaker volume seems low when playing pandora/music/video etc. I know its capable of more because ive heard it, and I have freinds with a lg optimus v from virgin mobile with louder speakers....I have tried different roms and it seems that cm7 roms are louder than 2.3.3 roms...but still is there anyway to increase pandora and music volume on the speaker?? Sorry if its the wrong section but i just havent been able to find anything in the other sections...
What 2.3.3 rom u on cuz the ota has dts built in and its definitely louder then cm, anyways u could try volume + from the market or pick dsp manager out of cm7 and install it on ur rom xboarder has a flashable zip for dsp in one of his rom threads I think the ota rom thread, yea man 2.3.3 has dts tho just like 2.2
Or you can use a faux123 kernel and download voodoo from the market

eh
I know but dts doesnt affect anything outside of the music and video app....And dsp manager does not seem to do much for the speaker volume, It works better for headphones.
Tried

Is their any rom

That actually has a working dsp manager , awesome beats, or another equalizer. And when I say works that doesn't mean if it runs. That means when you put bass boost on to extreme it doesn't sound fuzzy when headphones are in, or when you throw Max treble and bass in custom equalizer it doesn't sound like crap. The only rom that seems to work and function properly is from Eugene's cm7. Thanks for your help.

I'm pretty sure it's the hardware problem now if you go way passed the max of those things you've said. There's only so much the DAC can do.

Thanks for reply but I'm not sure if you know what im talking about you should definitely try Eugene's cm7 rom and use dsp manager with headphones that have bass and you will feel and hear what I'm talking about. Their is no hardware issues because when I flash back to cm7 build, it works fine.

I love the Dspmanager but PLEASE fix it on ICS

Cause I'm currently on cm7 gingerbread and the dsp when playing dubstep on my sexy pair of 40 dollar headsets make my ears bleed perfect clean bass and cm9 and over doesn't have that crystal clear bass and wont play on most apps (ex. Pandora YouTube other music players.) Hopefully there's a fix

1) Delete DSP.
2) Install Volume+ by Meltus (works on GB, ICS, and JB).
also try the awesome beats flashable. you can find it in weekends mirror thread. it is a modified dsp manager for ics
I've tried beats audio plugin, volume+ and DSP manager on CM9 and none of them came close to the DSP in CM7. I know it takes a lot of time to equalize but if you have your mp3 tracks at 320kbits and get the audio equalization right, it sounds perfect with a good pair of headphones/earphones.
I don't know why they crippled it so much in CM9.

I have tried Volume+ with Beats Audio drivers as per the recommendation of some other users here and it made NO difference to my music. Sounds exactly the same as stock, or the difference is so subtle I can't notice.
Don't know why everyone knocks the DSP manager so much. It worked marvelously for me and made some really bad phones sound usable. My Klipsch Image S4s used to sound amazing with DSP
Even without enhancements of any kind, music will skip/click when the phone is in use. That does not change no matter what player you use.
In school at the moment, so I don't have enough time to care, or wipe and reflash again for the 5th time.... Perilously waiting for the update to end all updates
I've never applied the Beats drivers.

Eh I'm using volplus but its not the same as cm7.1 but I guess I got to deal with it or use poweramp

in my experience, dspmanager was pretty bad on cm 9.1.0 (i mostly used the bass boost function) and on all three slight moderate modes it would sound terrible. i'm on wildchild ice (latest nightly) and dsp manager, atleast bassboost, is significantly better. before i used to just get a lot of noise, now atleast its cleaner.
well i tested volume+ other equalizer and none comes close to the dsp on cm7 i guess ill stick to poweramp its just others its not clear its distored or hurts the ears dsp on cm7 is just PERFECT i was wondering if i grab the cm7 dsp app backing it up using titanium backup and restore it on ICS?
awesome beats is not a plugin it is an app. it is a modified dsp for ics here is the link:

also in settings>sounds>music enhancements make sure awesome beats is checked
i really like the program but its not as close as the cm7 dsp but oh well i stayed on cm7 im getting alot of dsp force close no big deal plus it doesnt work on other apps like pandora and other apps besides apollo
