Unable to access any memory in INC CM7 nightly 218 - General Questions and Answers

HELP!!! yes , its that bad and frustrating for me. THIS IS HTC Incredible .
What happened?
I installed the latest CM7#218, and the phone never was able to restart. It was giving the '3-5 vibrates' symptom. After managing to get into recovery mode, i couldnt see anything from SD card. I later erased and reformatted the sd card but to no use.
In detail:
1. Installed CM7#218.
2. phone restart gives 3-5 vibrate symptom, cant even get into recovery mode.
3. tried factory reset , sd card reformat, repair from windows but doesnt help.
4. only when i unplug the device, power on or when i click on recovery mode, and while on the HTC splash screen, if I connect charger, ONLY then i can get into recovery mode or start the base CM7 OS.
5. in recovery mode i cannot see card , tried all possible mounts/unmounts. thus unable to restore any backups
6 when the base OS boots, (using point#4 above), i still cannot see sd card, nor able to format from phone. in file manager i can see my internal storage. But the phone does not give me any usb mount option , so cannot even view the internal memory from windows.
7. referred to the following thread and many other options etc, but doesnt work.
http://forum.cyanogenmod.com/topic/6...ernal-storage/
the adb shell does not detect my device, tried using 'PDANET' ' ends with 'cannot handshake with device'. tried installing droidexplorer, cannot see my device in the refresh list.
8. Thus as it stands now, i cannot use my internal as well external memory, the web downloads wont go, saying cannot see any memory, same for camera, it cannot see any memory available to it.
9. have already tried N number of restarts, connect disconnect and battery pulls.
10. tried even running the unrevoked, but it cannot connect to device.
11. tried installing all possible drivers as well.
12. its surely not bricked cuz i can use the base OS, and get into recovery through #4 tactics.

[Q] tablet erases any new file on reboot??

Hey everyone,
So I got my tablet today and have been working on it for the past 8 hours!! I finally got CWmod on it and running. Had a nightmare of a time getting it to work correctly and after using NVFLASH to nuke the whole tablet and install the stock ROM, then updating i was able to get CWmod to run. Now I'm having a really odd issue.
I can boot into CWmod. I repartitioned the SD card, mounted it. I can see the device in windows but when I add ANYTHING to the internal SD card it is completely gone once I reboot the device. I'm trying to get a ROM on it but it's like the drive is locked or something really weird. It copys onto the tablet just fine. the second I reboot everything is deleted.
I feel like I'm missing something here. I had that issue with it when I ran the stock ROM. I could change something and it would not stick after a reboot. For example registering my device on kindle and then downloading books. as soon as I reboot the machine it's as if i never registered it. I'm really at a loss as to what to do with this. I can't seem to get it to save anything on the internal storage.
Well after fiddling with it for a while longer I'm about to give up. I used NVFLASH to get it to the stock ROM again. updated to 3588 and yet again, I can't get any changes to stick. I can change anything and everything on it while it's powered on. The second I power it off and reboot it nukes everything I did (and takes close to 5-6 minutes to boot). I even mounted it and deleted every single file on the internal storage. They all came back upon reboot. I reformatted the entire SDCARD, I reformatted all the user data, did a cache wipe.. nothing works. I'm wondering if my unit is defective? at this point I would love to just have a tablet that I can actually use. I can't understand how it's even possible to not be able to make any changes on the device unless it's reinstalling the ROM everytime I reboot?
What version of CWM are you using and how did you install it?
I was running CWM 8. I couldn't install it via the internal storage. It would boot into recovery mode and "install" but once the machine rebooted it would not boot into CWM. I tried it several times same deal. I could install it but once it rebooted, nothing :/..
So I had to use the micro SD card to install it. I edited the recovery command file and pointed it to the SDCARD2. It installed finally, and stuck!
I tried using the microSD card to install the other ROMs. But unfortunately it will not mount in CWM.
I'm trying to get CWM back on it after doing yet another wipe with NVFLASH. We'll see if I can get it to work..
So i'm basically sitting here with a brick.. unless I never power it off lol!
Ok well another odd thing is going on with this. I'm up and running with CWM 08 again. I can turn on USB mass storage mount. The tablet shows up in windows and on my linux box. I can make whatever changes I want, adding files, deleting everything on it. Nothing matters cause once I unmount and remount the device it's all back to normal. It seems like nothing is allowed to write to the internal storage even though it thinks it does write to it??

[Q] stuck in boot loop

I've got my tf300t stuck in a boot loop when i turned it on today. (Ive looked around the forums for this issue already and been able to find little or no solutions that work for me)
I'm using cm10 and twrp. last night i shut the tablet off as usual and go to turn it on today and i cant get past the white asus logo and device unlocked screen.
I can access my twrp recovery menu, wiping dalvik returns a "E:Unable to mount '/data' (tw_mount)" cache wipes fine no errors.
I'm unable to flash another rom or restore from a back up as well.
Fastboot says its working but in cmd prompt it wont list the device. (computer recognizes it and it shows in device manager as android adb interface)
If there is any other information needed I will be more than happy to provide it.
any tips or help is greatly appreciated.
thanks in advanced.
I'm not yet very fammiliar yet with TF300, but from SGS 1 and ICS I remember one trick. If you have external microSD pluged, take it out or of you don't have it plug it in and then enter TWRP.
It probably won't work but you can try anyway.
Does TWRP have any file browser? I'm using CWM so I don't know much about TWRP.

Yeah it does have the file browser, upon initial booting i can browse an sd card ( i have a few of various sizes none seem to to be having any affect) and i can browse the internal storage as well. Booting both with and without the sd card in the device still leaves me in the boot loop.
So, can you copy new rom to sd card, then copy from sd to internal and install new rom? I think only option you have is to reinstall rom.

I can and have tried but it wont let me flash with the "unable to mount /data" error. It tells that my external sd-card and whatever rom i attempt to flash has problems

Be sure your sdk is up to date.
1. If you hold volume down plus power button to get to fastboot.
2. shift + control right click fastboot folder on computer then open command prompt.
3. type devices... and if it is not showing a device there something is not right.
4. you can try adb push to apply a flash if your device is not wanting to flash from sd card.

I've tried this as well. It was my first thought. Also it states in my original post that fastboot doesnt list my device, adb doesnt list it as well. Both are recent and up to date. However device manager does recognize it and windows makes the little notification sound. In safely remove devices it shows up as fastboot when i enable fastboot on the device.

[Help Me] Can't get into phone - boot loop.

Today I figured I'd try installing a CyanogenMod into my U8815/Ascend G300 Huawei phone, however the result is that it only got bricked (I think). I have been following a tutorial here: huaweig300.com/huawei-g300-install-a-custom-jelly-bean-ics-rom-from-scratch/install-the-custom-rom/
Since my phone had already been rooted when I bought it (had Superuser installed), I proceeded straight to installing stuff. I downloaded the CM ROM from here: modaco.com/topic/367019-kk-441-cyanogenmod-110-rom-nightly-builds-available/
However, and I think this is why I didn't succeed, I negleged to install the CWM provided in that post, because I have used ClockworkG300.exe that was given in the tutorial, and it had a slightly lower version (v6.0.1.2 to be exact).
I put the ROM .zip file and GAPPS into my micro SD card and proceeded to follow instructions - Power+Vol Up, install from .zip, and bang... it failed, saying "(Status 7) Installation Aborted". I thought - OK, I'll just restart my phone, upload a lesser version of CM or higher version of CWM and try again, however phone only boots back into CWM Recovery (boot loop)... I cannot access my SD card now, nor anything happens when I plug my USB cable in... I tried using adb, various other tools, like flashback recovery, etc. However, none of them discover my device, even when I power my phone on while holding Vol down (just freezes on logo, PC finds the software, but doesn't allow me access anything there) and plug my USB cable in. And yes, I have updated my drivers for win7. I also tried wiping cache, and data, but to no help.
Of course, I was stupid not to backup anything, but there has to be a way to unbrick/restore previous versions, or at least access my SD card. I have no other Android (or other device which uses micro SD card), I have lost all my adapters I had, so I cannot access my card via devices that might be able to connect to PC. And I'm not sure I have a card reader that could read micro SD (I'll check it out though)...
Help me please, I need to be able to use my phone... If any more info is needed, just ask. I have tried googling for solutions, however, none helped.

[Q] My phone suddenly says "Damaged USB storage"

So, here's the problem - I was just using my phone normally, when it froze - no big deal, recently it has been getting slower and I was just planning on factory resetting it after I back up everything. But, when it booted and went on the start screen, it says "Scanning USB storage for problems" or something like that and it says then "Damaged USB Storage -You may have to reformat it" and unmounts my SD card, so, I have no storage altogether. When I click on the notification it asks if I want to format USB storage. I just want to know if there's a way of retrieving some files, because in my phone FIle Manager there's nothing, and when I connect it to the PC (Windows XP), it doesn't dettect any stotage, if I do it through "USB Utilities" on my phone it shows two Removable Disks on my computer, which are empty, when I click on them it just says "insert disk into drive", and if I click "Turn on USB Storage" on my phone it just keeps on trying to connect, but can't.
I tried restarting it, taking the battery out, booting without an SD card, booting into safe mode, using adb to pull some files, searched the internet for a few hours but to no avail, found this "Tenoshare Android Data Recovery" but it needs root, which I'm not, so I tried rooting it with SuperOneClick - doesn't work, tried installing super user from the recovery menu from SD card, but it can't install it - I'm wondering if it's wortht it. So, now I don't know what to do - do I root my phone using the methods here (with odin and etc) and use that utility, do I just factory reset it (maybe try recovering files after I've reset it?), or is there any other available option to somehow recover the files? I'm on Android 4.0.4 unrooted with Baseband version I9103XXLQ3 - I had installed it a few years ago (my phone came with 2.3.6 and I just followed the instructions here on updating my firmware).
I'll be very grateful with any help, I just had a few more important files and the last time I backed up was in December, so any help is appreciated

Flash stock firmware on Lenovo YT3-X50L

Dear Community,
The day before yesterday's evening, my Lenovo YT3-X50L Tablet suddenly shut off. When I tried to boot, It showed me the login screen, I logged in, but one second after showing the Home Screen it crashed and rebooted. I logged in again - it crashed and rebooted again. I couldn't get into my device anymore.
I tried to use the recovery and made a factory reset, after which it showed me the usual Google setup menu (language, wifi, etc.). But it always got stuck at getting a wifi connection, although status was already "connected" and the wifi was working.
I erased the system partition (I don't know if this was a good idea...) and now i cannot boot into anywhere, I only see the Lenovo logo when starting.
I installed ADB, Fastboot and Lenovo downloader on a Laptop. After some hard work, I managed to get an ADB connection and could backup my data.
So now, I just want to put my device back into the state it was when it was shipped!
What I want to mention first: It seems that my sd card was corrupted, I don't know if this was the reason or has anything to do with my sudden device failure. I noticed this because of a mount error in recovery. I formatted the sdcard to FAT with the laptop and the mount error is gone now. The sd card was set as internal storage in Android. If this is possible, I would prefer to use any tool like fastboot to de-assign the sd card as internal storage, and only use the device's own internal 16GB storage, which is more than enough for basic functioning.
I downloaded the device's stock ROM from firmwarefile (just search "Lenovo YT3-X50L stock rom" on google, it's the first result, I am not allowed to post links in this forum as i am a new user) but I don't know how to properly flash it. Flashing the system_xx.img, boot.img, userdata_xx.img and recovery.img files (fastboot flash blabla blabla.img) doesn't make the device boot.
The Lenovo downloader tool isn't working for me. I installed the Qualcomm drivers as described and when I start my device with USB cable connected it shows up in the Tool window, status "flashing", but then gets stuck and doesn't seem to do anything.
Please Help! Might the device itself be dead? I would be very glad if we could resolve the issue very soon because I am on a trip to CERN at the moment and will travel back in a week, and I don't have any other mobile devices with me I could use to show the flight ticket...
My data is already saved, as I mentioned before - I just want my working device back!
