Hi guys. I found this cool animation from the upcoming Nexus Prime and I thought I will share it with you. Tested it and it works fine! Looks pretty nice too.

Tried it on stock 2.3 with fauxs oc /UV kernel doesn't work tried flashing it, and using root explorer overwriting in system/media just bootloops black screen or just boots with no animation. When flashing it says aborted status 0.

Use mirror 2 and extract the bootanimtion.zip and replace the orig in system/media.
You get error in flashing since it flashes to /data not /media. Also, mirror one on flashable is empty.

I'm going to just boot back into recovery from terminal and try flashing like that. I'll let you know how it goes.

Something i noticed, it picks up that the phone has a flash for the camera its just the flash doesnt come on. Dont know if you knew but thought i would mention it.

Got this running, had to flash back to stock first, was running the previous release of miui.us, my phone didn't like the 3 button recovery loading and boot looped, looks like the in call audio was fixed though as I didn't have to factory reset after it installed and its working fine. Thanks for the work and for fixing the Verizon labeling, I know it was cosmetic but its nice that it says my provider.

Installation
Put ROMTweaks_Signed.zip on your sdcard.
Flash with CWM.

It has worked with every Gingerbread ROM I have used on my phone, which is all of them, except for Audiophile series, but it would work no doubt.

Nah its intended to be used via a terminal emulator while the phone is running. Original script is on XDA somewhere.

works for me, ty, I'm happy to have anything other than the damn pink startup screen.
I went into recovery and made back ups of mt favorite roms after i had set them up the way i like then i renamed them so i knew which was which and for some reason i got a m5s missmatch, can anyone enlighten me as to why?

There are numerous uses for it. Like if you flash a screwed up theme, our framework, you don't need to flash a new rom.

What I do in such cases and recommend others to do is to prepare a rescue flashable with replaced (original) content. It is as simple as that, in any case you need the replacement on your SD.. nevermind.

This is a awesome tool. Works real good when you need to push files to /system. No FC's to have to try and click through when pushing from within the os itself.

Ok lol. I have been having so many problems lol. I made system writeable, renamed this bootanimation.zip, fixed permissions, and removed bootanimation.zip from /system/media and replaced it with this one. Still not working. What am I missing?

What did you set permissions to? and what rom are you using?
I am using the most recent SkyICS 4.2F I believe and I just ran fix permissions in ROM manager.

Not a CWM flashable zip. Go to /system/media, rename "bootanimation.zip" to "bootanimation.zip.old", push nexus7.zip to system/media, rename to "bootanimation.zip", set permissions to rw-r--r--.
Works... triiiipppyyy, haha. Liking this a bit more than CM9's default... Idk. Just really not a fan of their new mascot.

Well I can change boot animations with Rom Toolbox so I dont see why I can't change them manually....... doesn't make much sense.

Ha, their new mascot is a bit interesting. I like this nexus7 boot a lot, but i wish the colors were a bit brighter. I might edit it some and see what i can do with it.
