Hi all
Just got my Sensation and it's awesome ... damn, I think this thing is faster than my netbook
Noticed it had like 10 cities loaded under World Clock, is there anyway of deleting all except the one I need?
Thanks.
ps. This is my first Android phone, so I am a little lost

Hi,
Open cities page and press second button from the left(the one next to the home button)
Edit,highlight city and delete.
You can also add cities there as well.
Thanks man, starting to get the hang of this

Hi,
Not too sure what you want to do here, but if you go to "Settings">"Location", there are some things to play with there.

Hello,
Pointui.com has launched a new user interface, similar like iphone and its free.
Check out a detail review over here.
Nice!
Looks very promising. But I think it will be a real memory eater. Can't wait to see the first reviews.

It does look nice, but you realize that was a demo, right? I'd like to see a real demo with an actual running copy of it with a real finger using it. As far as I could tell, thats just a flash (or similar) example.
BTW the website (with countdown clock) is at http://there-is-no-place-like-home.com/
mfrazzz, if you want to know for sure then go and download it
It's now available.
BTW: I'll retract my above statement after watching this video:

Looks impressive as the other demo.

Thanks and it looks very slick and is very responsive. I have issues trying to setup my home location for weather though. First, I find it odd that USA is seperate from North America . Then when I select Colorado and choose a letter (C for example) it first loaded the B's. Then I exited out and came back in (as it kept showing B) and did it again. Choose C again and it loaded W's...
Still this look very impressive. Are we allowed to cook this into roms?

It's free, and I didn't see any licensing information so I don't know why not.
Hi mfrazzz, sounds like you are hitting the right of the screen in the area that activates bookmark scroll try clicking in the center or to the left.
In the future it would be great if you guys want to burn it into roms, but if I was you I would wait for a few bugs to get sorted out. We are going to be spending the next few weeks working through issues that have already been raised in our forums.

Yeah, I think my problem is I'm doing quick and light presses. I need to get the feel of this, but if I do a more firm press its selecting thing properly. So I think this is a case of user error in learning this

Yep, fully understand.
Quick question... Is there anyway to get to the Apps that are located in the Start Menu? (\Windows\Start Menu) . This seems to show apps starting at \Windows\Start Menu\Programs . So by default things like Office, Contacts, etc are not available (unless I'm missing something again).
On first blush, I'm impressed so far. Now people need to rewrite the apps underneath so they are more finger friendly too
Hi mfrazzz, try in Favorites.

Its really useful, but theres is some of the thing that is missing in it, if intigerated than it would one of the most useful program a winmo user will ever need. I will write a review on it may be tommorow check my blog.
This looks freaking sweet. There is one thing that I noticed though. Kinetic/Touch scrolling is normally done opposite in the direction of scroll so that the text/image follows the direction of your movement. This seems to bg going in the direction of scroll. Is there a setting to change this?

You can change this. Hit your settings button (upper right gear symbol) The change it to object navigation from slide naviagation)
Also for those that can't close programs. Hit the program name (of the app you have open)in the upper left, then choose force close. So far i have only seen this not work on the phone screen which you have to minimize.
I really like this interface and it's a keeper for me. The only issues i really have is #1) Reoccuring appointments do not show and #2) it defaults to outlooks e-mail instead of the account switcher. i don't use the outlook e-mail, instead i check 2 pop accounts. My work around for now is to add a shortcut to messaging to the startup and access it there.
If anyone has a work around for the above, please post it.
GREAT APP though!
Hi ROCOAFZ, version 1.01b is going to be available soon which allows for an alternative email store - you can specify a different store name and the unread email indicator is the total for all your email accounts. Won't have a screen to update it at this stage - just a registry val to set, but with a bit more time...
1.01b is going to be the first mass test of Update Manager. Man, I hope it works
Recurring appointments - on the list, but don't expect it within the next few days - we're back to day jobs as of tomorrow and presently spending time trying to tackle some of the bigger bugs. Actually, we are spending our time trying to keep up with our forum and getting no coding done
Glad you like it.
Hi everybody,
I have written a detail reveiw of pointui home here check it out.
well i just install it on my phone and i think it's a lovely app. run fairly smooth on my wizard. kinda lag on the switching of viewing mode, unlike the video. beside that i love.
Wondering if any developer folks have noticed a problem with the Google News & Weather widget yesterday and today? I installed this on my EVO (GenieWidget.apk) because I love its simplicity and elegance, but it has been telling me "Sorry, unable to connect. Please try later" with a "Retry now" button.
I've discovered it's not just me, but other Android phone users too, so it could be an issue with the Google servers, but the thing that I'm trying to work out is who to contact about the problem. Is this a Google-developed widget or is there someone else who can be asked? Has this happened before and is there a fix?
I'm guessing there isn't much that can be done, but I thought I'd ask anyway.
I have the same problem. Can't find any info on who to go to on this.
Same problem here, it's got to be at Google's end (it's part of 2.x). I expect they're aware of it by now though.
same (UK), it's just not giving new content at all, last one is around 23-24h ago
Interesting. On another forum, I saw mention of a company called PalmarySoft who are apparently the provider of the backend of the widget (though I can't confirm that). They have had some kind of DDoS attack. Not sure if that'd be enough to kill the widget entirely, but who knows. Miss it already, one of my favorites, let's hope it gets fixed soon.
same thing here in tampa
it worked once this morning around 8:00 am for a few minutes, then couldnt connect again
and just when i got shawn1224's transparent version (no background)
http://www.4shared.com/file/IrjCMniv/GenieWidget.html
The server that supplies the News and weather is under a Ddos attack. Google Places is down too.

I know this sounds strange, but I really like the footprints program. Honestly, its one of the reasons, I stay with HTC. Anyway, in the users manual it says that it is included. It also tells you how to use it, but I cannot find these options anywhere on my phone. Are you also missing HTC Footprints program? Or do I just need to reset to get it back. Can someone tell me if you have footprints or not?
Thanks
Garrett
i had the same issue when i got my phone yesterday
turns out they have folded in footprints into 'Locations'
if you open up locations there is a slidebar at the bottom to go to Footprints
hope this helps!
Thanks for the response, where is locations? I hate to seem so dumb? But I still dont understand?
it is an app that comes pre-installed
look for 'Locations' in the application list
it has an icon that looks like a Red Pin sticking in a map.
If i helped please thank me --->

Maybe some magic will be worked after permanent root/bootloader is unlocked. Locations looks cool, and it makes me sad that Locations isn't on the US phone.
Keep your fingers crossed!
oh, that's a shame!
well look on the bright side, at least locations doesn't mess up your Calendar and Contacts integration with google maps!
now if i ever click on the location button in calendar it opens HTC Locations insted of google maps and it can never find the address i entered! It is terrible that i can't set google maps to do it instead
Wonder if its possible for somebody to pull it from a non us sensation now?
Hi,
as the title already says the jumplist in the app menu is gone I can´t remember when I saw it the last time. It could also be possible that it was never there when I updated to mango but I can´t rember it correctly. I noticed it about 2 mins ago
Does somebody know if it is possbile to activate it somehow?
greets
PS: My Phone: Samsug Omnia 7

You need to have a certain number of apps installed before the jumplist appears. I'm not sure what the exact amount is, but it's somewhere around 40 to 44..
Oh didn´t know that :S I have 32 at the moment. I´m going to install some free apps then Thank you for the information!
Edit: Now I´ve downloaded apps till the jumplist appeared. The minimun size was exactly 45 !

I did not know that! Gonna download more apps then, as well... How can I see how many apps I have currently?
Yah gotta have enough. Doesn't make sense to add 26 block rolodex letters to a list of 25 apps.
is there some registry key we can edit to lower the number of apps required?

Counting? You must be joking! Someone should write an app for that. Now should this app be included in the count? mmmm ....
Is the app jumplist in NoDo or just Mango? I have 47 apps but no jumplist in NoDo
You have the opposite problem as me. I want the jump lists to go away.

So, I'm not really sure if this would be right forum to post about this. I suppose since N5 has the most Google Now integration it could be. Regardless, feel free to move this if it's not in the right place. Anyway, I'm actually getting a little frustrated by Google Now in the sense that it's spoiling shows. I normally watch shows online the following day after they air, and Google Now gives me news about the most recent episode which often spoils the episode...just figured I see who else noticed this.

Yeah I should probably do that. They're not really useful anyway except when they tell me that one of my shows is on that night. I usually know anyway.
Edit: I actually can't seem to find it. I clicked on that magic wand but it's missing the tv updates.

Next time you get a TV update, tap the three dots on the card and it should ask you if this information is useful or whether you want to keep receiving those updates, then tap "no" for the relevant question!

I haven't tried the three dots. But it does sometimes ask me when I swipe away a card "was this card relevant" and I usually say no. Sadly, they still show up. I'll try the three dots though next time.
