[ROM][2.3.5] GSInfuse 1.1.9 [XXJVT][11/02/11][optimized][stock][multi-dpi] - Samsung Infuse 4G

Introduction
GSInfuse 1.1.9 is based on the latest stock 2.3.5 XXJVT ROM for Galaxy S released by Samsung a few days ago, coupled with UCKJ4 libraries (thanks to LinuxBozo's idea in his hellraiser mod) to bring support to Samsung Infuse 4G, with functionality enhancements/tweaks/mods and optimizations that are done directly upon the stock ROM. It is based on pure stock latest GS ROM 2.3.5 (XXJVT) and is focused on stability/functionality/optimization v.s. theming. It is also modded so that it is ready for multi-DPI support.
Details
* [NEW in 1.1.9]: Updated to LB's hellraiser 1.0 to fix Market insufficient space issue;
* [NEW in 1.1.9]: Updated Market app to 3.3.11;
* Basic tweaks (rooted, deodexed, zipaligned, ..);
* Enabled AOSP lockscreen with unlock vibrate removed;
* Battery % mod with Enhanced battery icons;

* 30FPS video recording fix;

Changes in 1.1.9
* Updated to LB's hellraiser 1.0 to fix Market insufficient space issue;
* Updated Market app to 3.3.11;
What's new in XXJVT
Alongside with other fixes (in particular, the wifi issue in JVS) and improvements, Samsung's 2.3.5 XXJVT ROM also brings:
* Daily Briefing widgets: an upgraded set of widgets from previous news/weather widgets, providing weather, agenda, news, and stock widgets. Looks pretty well. Screenshots attached;
* stock blue glow overscroll: better than custom modded glow effects, because in JVT, Dialer, Contacts, and Browser apps all have blue glow overscroll now (while in custom modded ROMs they are still bounce effect, an inconsistency in overall experience).
Known issues and fixes/workarounds
* First call made after a reboot has no sound, workaround: toggle the speaker button;
* No HDMI output (kernel issue).
Note that sometimes Market app causes data connection drops. To fix it, use _only_ one APN: wap.cingular, username: [email protected], password: CINGULAR1, MMSC: http://mmsc.cingular.com, MMS Proxy: 66.209.11.32, APN type: internet + MMS.
Other than the known issues, the ROM has been running very fast and smooth.

Cool . Downloading now. Oh I forgot . FIRST!
I'm not a developer but I did stay at a Holiday Inn lastnight.

Interesting. Does this support 1080p playback at all?

Link not working. Already pulled it? Not a good sign so early in the thread.

this room looks promising, but your image links are all dead, im not sure if this is a Google Chrome issue or just me.
Also, whats up with the Infuse roms, seems like we haven't been able to crack the NO HDMI issue , not that i use it so much, but its a feature id like to be able to use sometime down the line. Im sure our developers will accomplish this soon for us.
Thanks for the rom post, i will download and give this a run, considering i just screwed up my Infuse by tryna flash hells beta 9 with another Galaxy rom, and went back to MIUI lol
Ill post back problems i run into for u .
Good job devs, lets see some more roms and keep this phone active for everyone, its a great one !

Ok. I installed that rom few moments ago. Issues i encountered. Before installing, i did full wipe and delvic cache.
1. Wifi not connecting and it just hangs on obtaining ip never connects and a soft reboot occurs.
2. Random reboots if left idle.
I flashed another rom.
If problems become fixed I'll try the rom again.

wifi Open, even tried basic WEP , same thing, it just never gets an ip address. im using the go launcher currently. I might fiddle with adw

is the router on dhcp with a lease set as forever?

Allright 1.0a download link updated in the 1st post which fixed a packing issue that mainly affected the browser. let me know of the results.

The screenshots in the OP are not embed-able. You can still go straight to the file if you open it in a new tab, but they're not showing in the forum post.

Happy to see a new infuse room, screen shots are messed up though

I'm using right now. Everything is supercool. I recommend it. Also a big addition to other roms direct 3g video calling is active on dialer. I was in need of that.
Only problem i see is market downloads insufficient space issue.

Trying this out right now. Good luck and thanks.

Im skeptical here, no offense. haha
Under what circumstances? Logcat?
I just went through every instance I could.
Added event, synced unsynced calendars, agenda view, week view, month view, settings, scrolled through the calendar for a while, closed it and opened it again and repeated. No force closes for me. Let me know.
Some files don't play nice optimized, so that very well could be the case, however I can't replicate.
No offense to you. Contributions is what makes this site what it is. If I were capable I'd contribute too but there are a lot of sense roms. What is the pitch for yours?
For example, I can switch from Fresh to Calk's EViO and it's fundamentally the same rom.
Again, I must stress, I appreciate your work, XDA is great because of the generous, passionate devs.

Fresh ROM has expresso rosie and is deodexed.
Calks rom is slighty themed and is deodexed.
This is stock. Stock looks, odexed (so in my opinion a bit faster) with the same improvements. Like I had stated, this ROM is for the user looking for a completely stock looking rom, but incorporates the goodies that everyone else hands out. In other words, it just works, and works well.
PS my site appears to be down. Anyone looking for this can follow this link

Sometimes I just like stock sense...thanks for the rom!
Just a quick question. Since this rom is Odexed, does that mean that we cant theme it? I dont care for big themes, but I like the smooth sense mod that just changes the notification icons. Is this rom incompatible with themes?
You know what, I've been testing the odex and deodex versions today and notice no differences. I'm gonna upload a deodex in a while here when I finish a few more things

Thanks for the quick reply. I am a stock sense guy myself, but most roms come with a modded rosie. I use a stockrosie.zip that you made on Fresh, but I'd rather cut that step out when upgrading ROM's. Thanks for your work.

[ROM] VaelPak 3.2 RC1 [03/06/11] - NonSense - [Net 4.3.1] - 3.70.651.1

I am calling this RC1, but am 90% confident it will become the final release. What happened to 3.1? Well, as most of you know, working at 4am led to it being called 3.2 in Settings, so rather than add to the confusion, it is being released as 3.2. Going forward, odd version numbers will be beta, even will be release... Anyhow, on with the show
NOTE: RC2 is available. I don't have an XDA thread for it yet so feel free to just use this one, just specify which RC you are using please. - http://vaelek.com/index.php?/topic/843-vaelpak-32-rc-2/

All are averages of 3 runs.
SDREAD/SDWRITE - These are 500mb tests done with "SD Card Tester". A sequential file is written to the microsd card and then read back.
GAMELEVEL and TOTAL SCORE are scores reported by An3dBench. These are a good way to estimate actual game performance. The Game level simulates an actual level in an opengl 3d game. Total score is a composite score of all the different parts of the An3dBench program.
ABSOLUTE is reported by GPUBench, another great way to tell how games are going to perform.
SpeedPI, Linpack, Quadrant, all come from self named programs.
Freememory is the available amount of ram after killing all low security programs with ATK. This was taken pre testing, mid testing, and after testing, and of course averaged.
I have tested flashing over 3.0 and ran into no problems. I would at least recommend updating to 3.0.1 first if you have not yet. If all else fails, wipe and flash fresh.
VP Settings needs a minor update that will be coming soon. Ignore density warnings. Clockwork Mod 3.x now supported! Not all mods in VPS will flash on it yet though.

Sweet! My favorite sense based rom strikes again! Been using VaelPak for all my FullHDMI testing and benches. Seeing that you've probably have been through the code from one end to the other, did you happen to come across the dock trigger? I'm looking to enable USB host on the Evo but can't find the trigger to rewrite it.
Is there any themes for this rom? I love how it runs but im not crazy about its themeing at all : /
btw the crow is one of my favorite movies. rip brandon lee

Thanks to xHausx for getting the GB Stock sense 1.0 to us, used it for a base to build from. Also, thanks to Chubbz I appreciate all you've done to help me understand porting better, GodZSon, and TMartin03 for being there eager to help! Also, props to MikG, MisFit, and Captain_Throwback; always glad you guys help. And of course MYN, you are the one that got me interested in porting to begin with. If I missed anyone, please pm me and I will add you.

It's a lot smaller. It should be stable enough for a daily. I haven't had any issues with fc. A couple app issues but once we get a list I can dig in to them.

Nice to see another excellent looking rom. Definitely interested in seeing what people thing once the link is back up.
Nice. Downloading now.
Out of curiosity, why did you make the changes to the GPS config? Does it help with the satellite locking issues at all? They have been driving me to insanity.

yes...changing the GPS config helps on the LOCK ON!
Finally a decent looking red/black theme (or at least from what I can tell from screenshots)! kejar's is alright for GummyCharged but it still highlights in green

Nice. Have the changes been documented anywhere? I am curious exactly what / where changes were made. Would like to implement this in my current config and see if it helps before I backup/test a new rom
this rom looks awesome. just to have a clear understanding, i have the voodoo kernel,and all i need to do is just download through colockwork mod and and wipe data and flash right? Since it didnt update the kernel i wouldnt have to convert back to RFS system right? does mobile hot spot still work on this rom? have you notice a difference in speed compared to stock?
thanks

Just wipe and install. The only time you would need to convert back to RFS is when flashing a non-voodoo kernel. Otherwise you're good
Wow, this looks hot. Checking it out now!
I get a force close on the market when the phone first boots up. It force closes if I try to open it also. I'm able to sync with my google account manually, so it must be something with the market app. Anyone else seeing this?
I'm running imnuts kernal that isn't OC'd. Is there a market APK I can flash? Looks awesome besides not being able to log into the market, thanks!
Is there a 3g mobile hotspot?

Themes
NOTE: We are not responsible for system instabilities caused by themes
The formerly included theme was A-Theme Lite by AChep.
GingerDX natively supports T-Mobile themes. You can find other themes in the list of available T-Mobile themes in XDA Android's theme sticky.
Download the theme of your choice onto your phone and use Theme Chooser (included in GingerDX) to select theme.
Notice:-
Very important. Read all before posting questions!
1. This ROM is based on doixanh's personal ROM and continued in the same philosophy to keep it as lightweight as possible. You can report bugs in this thread and suggest additions, but understand we're not obligated to fix or include them. We'll fix what is needed, and we'll include what makes sense.
2. We are NOT responsible for any bugs caused by custom-made fixes/additions/tweaks. You use them at your own risk and responsibility!
3. Regarding the copyright branding at the bottom in Lockscreen: We will NOT remove them nor provide any option to disable them. Don't PM/Post to ask for the removal or nag otherwise.
4. If you have battery drain, try the following:
Clear battery stats in recovery.
Freeze unused services (like Email, DSP Manager, Maps). This is important.
Turn OFF 'Allow mock locations'.
Don't set brightness too high.
Don't install too many unused apps.
Turn OFF WiFi, 2G, 3G, GPS, Bluetooth when not in use.
Turn OFF LED Succession.
Reboot after you listen to music. Music service caused battery drain (in the past).
Generally, doixanh and me usually get 2-3 days out of a charge (give or take depending on usage).
5. If you still have battery drain after following Step 4, try:
Full wipe in recovery, re-install GingerDX.
Use Stock ROM for several days to see if the battery problem is caused by GingerDX or not.
If it doesn't drain, try installing one of your apps, test battery for a day, install another one, and test.
and so on...
That way you will know what's the cause of your battery drain.

Battery usage bars not showing. Percentages look to be accurate, but the bars all show the same amount.
