hey everyone, just signed up for xda so here this goes. i am getting a samsung infuse later today, and i was wondering if there is a theme to make it look like the htc inspire. if so could you name it and maybe post a screen shot? thank you

The closest thing i can think of would be to get launcherpro or adw launcher, they have some sense themes.

Actually.... with miu and cm7 there are a few sense themes, even the sense 3.0 lockscreen (which i happen to have if you want it)
So theres like 1 theme thats represents sense? Ehh. I guess.its.not that important. What are some.cool ones then?

+1 On this too. Never got to use it on my hero since i got my evo before i could flash it in. Just flashed it over last night before selling it. I'd be willing to help out and provide a test evo.

They don't use ADW maybe. Also, it is buuf, not buff (pet peeve).

+1 for this. Loved Buuf, had it on my iphone (shudders) and on my G1, would be great to have one on my Evo (with Sense UI also)
This would be great. I love Buuf, I have it set for my TrueLaunchBar menus.
Edit: looking back at Buuf themes for Windows XP, I think it should be easy to modify MattedBlues for Sense into a Buuf theme.
I buuf'd my phone myself by putting the icons on my sd card and using folder organizer and desktop virtualizer to set the desktop up. I even made a custom weather skin for beautiful widgets. Its more time consuming than just flashing a theme but you get the satisfaction of using the icons you want and making it truly unique. Pics attached. I hope.

I'm using the Buuf theme for adw.launcher and love it. I'm so damn jealous of the iPhone ONLY because of this theme. This thread has pushed me to finally download the necessary software to start a theme. It'll take awhile since I'm new, but I'll see what I can do.

Any update on a Buuf theme?
I have mikfroyo 4.5 rom, which i love, but the theme is not my favorite (not bashing its just my preference). Can anyone make a epic 4g theme for it? a flashable zip?? Please? Thanks in advance.
Edit. I have an htc evo running mikfroyo 4.5 rom. I like the epic 4g theme so what im asking here is, can anyone make an epic 4g theme for the htc evo with mikfroyo rom? And im sure I posted this in the right section which is themes. Actually what I really want is the theme and not the samsung themed icons ( for the one that suggested to get adw with that theme). Hope this us a little bit clearer.

Im about 98% sure that mikfroyo isn't for the epic and if thats the case I would come to the conclusion he is requesting a theme that looks like the epic interface to put on his evo running mikfroyo.

True he was extremely vague, the only reason I knew what he was saying was because I new that there wasnt a mikfroyo for the epic hahaha
Why not not install ADW and choose iphonish theme. Pretty much same as Epic's colorful icons.

I made a theme w/ the whole Samsung look for AOSP and one for Sense that basically was finished... couldn't tell you where they are in the forums now for the life of me. Someone could find them and use the Theme Porter -- it might come out alright.
Im pretty sure I posted this at the right place themes. Anyways I do have an evo running mikfroyo rom and I want to keep sence but with epic 4g theme. I hope this is a little bit more clear than before. Thanks

We just need to build more stable ROMS worthy of creating themes for. They will come in due time.

First off...is there a guide for making themes? I've been playing around with UOT ROM kitchen and its great for changing up a few things, but as far as I can see...it doesn't let you theme the wallpaper.

heh...I meant I'm not sure how to get a themed wallpaper into a flashable zip. Like the ROM kitchen lets you make changes, then it creates a flashable zip for ya...(I'm sure you know all this) but I haven't figured out how to get that themed wallpaper to flash with those changes.
EDIT: I just found this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=916814 and it might help me learn more about theming.

Kind of off topic but how can I change the icons in launcher pro? When I long press and try to go to custom icons it takes me my camera pictures not the only stuff. Any help would be appreciated

yea there are very very few themes in here . so i suggest switching to a cm7 rom.. use theme choosers Themes .. bunch of them in android themes section.
Downside to using Theme chooser with CM7 is that your WidgetLocker screen will need to be reconfigured every time you reboot...

Am i the only one that would like to see a sense rom on our G2x? I think it would look pretty sick. I know we are early in the development stages, but do you guys think we will get one? If so what port or sense like rom would you LOVE to see on this device.
Sense was cool for a few days for me but i don't prefer it. Now i like the pure androidness But the g2x is pretty popular so i'm sure we'll have a sense rom.

AFAIK Sense is built specifically for HTC hardware specs and there is no source code for it so porting it over would be extremely hard.

I had enough of blackberry and enough of AT&T so im switching to Android . Soooo.. What is Sense rom and touchwiz?
Sense is the custom interface HTC puts on all their phones. Touchwiz is Samsungs UI. They do it to try and set their phones apart from one another in a market full of android phones. You dont have to use them though if you dont like them.

I'm pretty sure you can put the TouchWiz Launcher on any phone. I'm almost positive that I had installed it on my Nexus One but removed that crap within seconds.
I know for a fact I installed LG's launcher too.
Most of that stuff isn't anything but a bunch of fluff. While I prefer Stock, I do know that Sense is actually built into the rom more ways then one and you have to have the whole rom built around it.

Don't get me wrong, I love stock better than tw, specially if I'm using adw ex, but I like the look of tw for some reason.

i think they jsut gave out an sdk to make apps that will only work on sense devices.
if you like sense try out go launcher. it has much of what sense does without the lag. the weather app and live wallpaper is as awesome as sense(maybe not as the new weather animations) dont know but they are pretty good.
kinda a mix betwen muiu/apple and sense. its a really good launcher and has all accompaning apps to go with it.

To be honest. People get the Nexus for the pure vanilla feel. Try Remics roms floating around.

If you want touchwiz, the apk is floating around somewhere. No full ROMs though. If you really really want it I can throw together a zip that adds the launcher and basic TW apps.

Like mentioned above... look for the RemICS ROM floating around these forums... it has a lot of galaxy s 3 features including the tw launcher with the beautiful weather widget...

Touchwiz 5 isn't that bad. I went with nexus for the simple reason of google making sure the nexus' are a few steps ahead of any other phone as far as software. I don't think I can go back to 4.0.4 for the touchwiz feel because I'm addicted to JB.
