Hi!
So i actually have a P999 from Vidéotron (Canada) , but the problem is , i wasnt aware that i was a P999 and i flashed a P990 rom in it , now when i want to install a P999 rom (Stock or Cyanogen) i get errors. I tried with Clockworkmod and Nvflash , none work but if i try with P990 it works but i dont have signal. Any tips ?
Thank you : )
what happened is the LG called their (G2X)p999 to optimus 2x p990 and you flashed a 2x rom in it so it changed your baseband
the only ways i read to fix it is with LG Updater Tool for pc. im not sure as i never done it. but if it helps keep us post on what you did to fix it

It should return your p999 firmware but you probably won't have a working baseband.

Just wondering im thinking about getting the LG thrill, would the root and cwm's work for it? Cause if thats the case cyanogenmod.com has some firmware ill just slap on this beast and be good to go
I've been asking the samething I just got the phone yesterday. When you root and install rom manager it comes up as optimus V so I'm stuck .. if you want to goforandroid clockworkmod.com you can somehow flash the LG Optimus 3d cwm but I don't know how nor do I want to brick my phone..

I'd like to know as well.
Only difference that seems to be is some carriers use different frequencies but that seems odd, LGs listings match up 100% AFAIK and should just be a naming thing and perhaps branding.
However ROOT should be no problem, flashing stuff like CustomROMs and CWM on the other hand could be dangerous if something isn't exactly the same but since Thrill just got out I'm guessing it will take a little while before a dev gets his hands dirty with one (since most that wanted one probably got a O3D instead).
The reason ROM Manager shows up as Optimus V is that Thrill registers as that because of P925 and for some reason ROM Manager sees that as a Optimus V.
so do you think if i rename my device in the build prop from 295 to 290 it should flash the correct recovery for Optimus 3D? Oh, i have ATT's LG Thrill by the way.
Thrill users have flashed O3D Roms and they say it worked with no problems. Just fix the APN.
hi ups,do you flash your 925 with the 920's rom? i wonder
Hi lads.. new to p-920 only have it few days. iv flashed roms and basebands to my galaxy s2 time and time again witout any problems.. so today i rooted my lg and downloaded rom manager booted into recovery and flashed thiaiz03D v2.3..everything went fine the rom itself is lightening fast but just one problem i couldn't get any network signal just a red X wher the bars usually are.. the phones baseband was on L6260-MODEM-SIC-01.1042.00 witch i taught was the new GB baseband.. i did buy the phone second hand and it was on 2.2 froyo wit the new baseband i taught tat was bit strange.. any suggestions on how i can get Thiaiz rom working .. thanks guys ...

There is no option to update baseband via cwm, this is only solution so far.
I'm on gb and my baseband name is same as yours, but you need to flash gb baseband obviously.

You can flash an O3d baseband to the thrill? If so, which baseband is recommended for a gingerbread flash?
Thanks!
i use baseband from official v21a gingerbread and it is workin fine for me,no ghost calls or something like that.
you should flash official gb for thrill and then search custom roms in development section for thrill 4g.
Ive been reading about this rom and it sounds pertty good just a little unsure about how to install it.
I have the lg optimus 3d p925g with v10 on rogers canada is it possible to put this rom and baseband on my phone? If sois there a guide or info about it.
On the thiaiz developer thread it has files for the p920 im just not sure if this is what i need for my phone or not.
Thx in advance.
Well, I have questions about O3D
1. It's safe to flash v20p (from p929 AT&T) to my p920 ?
2. or if I have V10k (froyo) can I safetly install roms from p925 LG Thrill from LG Thrill 4G android development (ex. Mokee for p925) ?

Generaly I would not recomend flashing with a software not designed for your model. Just look how many people have bricked their phones by playing around.
1. 20p has US baseband so if u live in Europe then dont flash it.
2. Before u start flashing GB roms u need to bee on GB baseband. So the first thing is to flash Italian 20E kdz or I would rather recomend HonKong 20g. Then root the phone and install CWM ( do not use the app from play store, use the program provided here in the forums )
If you are on ext4 u need to change it back before doing anything. And do not use nandroid restore made with froyo

What will happen if somebody flash baseband from other model ?
For example you have LG Thrive(LGP506) or LG Optimus C (MS690) and you will flash baseband from LGP500 using LGMDP ?

I'm asking because I want to put baseband from GT540 or maybe from LGP500 to GD880.
I need to know that when anything goes wrong is it a chance to flash it again via LGMDP with correct baseband and get it to work ;]

I can about bet that the radios are different, even in minor ways, which will make them incompatible with each other. I do know for a fact that any of the Optimus One devices can swap "radios" or basebands with the P500, since all others are derivatives of the P500.
So to sum up, I wouldn't suggest it.
