Unable to make call (call Ended) Immediately on dailing - T-Mobile LG G2x

I have tmobile g2x which was unlock by code provided by Tmobile. Now I am overseas in India where I have local sim card when inserted I can receive calls, data works but when dailed outside it ends immediately with Call ended.. the local sim works fine when inserted in another phone. Same local sim was working when I was in Local area of this sim (mumbai). But as mentioned this local sim is working when inserted in iphone in mumbai as well as where I am now in different small town..
here is crazy part that when I insert Tmobile sim at current location, it can make outgoing calls to US and India from same town using same wireless carrier ( Airtel).. What is blocking the outgoing calls using local Sim here in India?
Please help? Ideas?

I'm not sure what frequency India is using, but if you don't have a good signal, you will get that "call ended" issue.

My mom is actually having this exact same issue here in the US even in strong signal areas. I'm gonna try flashing another rom and kernel to her phone, this seems to be the only issue she's having with it.
It's been doing this with Eagles Blood from 9/23/11, i'm not sure if that's the source of the problem though.

I foud solution myself. I use to use Block Outgoing Caller ID with Tmobile in USA, So when a foreign sim is inserted and the foreign carrier does not support blocking outgoing caller id, the call ends as the phone tries to block outgoing id. The problem resolved after I inserted my US tmobile sim card in India and disabled block outgoing caller id...inserted foreign sim and it works fine ..
I was able to replicate the problem by enabling block caller id again..

I can't call on my Miphone M88+ WM6

Hi boys and girls!
I have a quite hugh problem. I've just bought a chinese phone, a Miphone m88+ with Windows Mobile 6.
The phone works great, exept for one BIG thing.. I can't call =)
Let me describe the problem. I put in the SIM card in the phone, enter the pin code and the phone (most of the times) get a good signal strength and my provider shows up in the Today page. So far so good....
Now I'm trying to dial a number. It's dialing and dialing and after a short while three beeps turns up and the call ended with no success. I still have a good signal strength and it's looks like the phone has registred on the GSM system but I'm unavailable to call. Now I did a big NO NO and tried to call 112 (the european 911) and that works great! Okey, nothing wrong with the phone then.
Then I tried to reflash the phone with the ROM from this forum. The flashing went good. Back with the SIM card, perfekt signal but still no way to call. Off with the phone, on with the phone and off again and then it started to cooperate with me! The phone worked, the SMS worked! Happy! For an hour it worked perfectly and then i rebooted the device and then the phone went back to square one... BEEP BEEP BEEP...
I was thinking it might have been IMEI blocked for some reason and I have spend the last 24h to look for a IMEI changing software on the net and found a lot of them but noone works with my phone. And then again, after like 200 reboots during the IMEI tries, I could make a call, but just one and then back to null again.
My conclusion:
It's nothing wrong with the phones hardware due to I can make emergency calls.
The IMEI isn't blocked due to I can (sometimes 1 out of 100) make a call and send SMS AND I allways got my provider and a good signal strength.
I think it could/would/might be a configuration issue that Windows Mobile doesnt register to my provider.
What in the h*lls name could it be?! Any tips or hint from you guys?! Can it be the software dialer in the phone that don't like my provider?
Maybe any settings to change somewhere in the phone.. Timeouts.. ?
Is there a IMEI changing software for my phone so I can try to change it? (And NO it's not a ciminal act to do that in Sweden =) )
Please please help me!
Phone: Miphone m88+
OS: Windows Mobile 6 (Build 18165.0.5.0)
Processor: ARM926T OMAP850
Service provider: Tele2/Comviq, Sweden
SIM locked? And mount random ROM without brick the device... you are a lucky boy ^^ try with Sim of another Carrier.
D'rath
Okey...
Here's the deal...
Now I have been tried out another carrier (Telia) on the phone and the phone works perfectly. =)
Now to the problem. The Miphone don't have 3G (none of the chinese phone does)
The Tele2 SIM card is a newer card with access to both 2G and 3G network here in Sweden and the Telia card is a older card with only access to 2G.
I can use my new Tele2 card in older (2G) "normal" phones and then the card/phone just connect to 2G. But in this phone it looks like it won't work at all. Is there any settings i can change exept putting the phone on manual network selection?
I really need to use my Tele2 carrier and you can't order a old SIM card with only 2G access from the carrier =)
What to do? =)

My s6 is locked (UK)?

I purchased a S6 on EE a week ago. Has been working fine with an ee sim, however I have not made any calls or texts yet, just using the phone for Internet on wifi etc.
I have a regular three sim which I would like to use so I have trimmed it down with scissors and this made me cut part of the gold contact bit off (I read online this shouldnt affect the sim).
I'm guessing this phone is locked as when I insert the sim it detects a new sim has been inserted, it makes me restart too. Upon booting up however it says no sim card/ emergency calls only however I see a solid connection. I cannot make any calls as it says not registered to a network or something.
Now my question is that is the phone picking up the sim card? If yes why is it not prompting me with a sim unlock code screen? Secondly is my phone not detecting the sim card at all? Is that the reason why I am not prompted with a unlock code screen? All help is appreciated. Thank you.
Go onto settings, then onto Mobile Networks, then Network Operators, then Search Networks then click the Three carrier. It will take a few mins to search for all the networks so do not back out.

Straight Talk LG Style 4 - Verizon sim / towers

So I bought the phone and a 35$ service card three days ago from Wal-Mart. Activated the phone around 3am that night. Phone hasnt worked once. No calling, texting or using data. Ive contacted ST CS numerous times with no help. Im told the same everytime. Dial *73 then turn off and back on, if that doesn't work repeat. Well it wont even let me dial * numbers. Pops up sim not registered, sim not provisioned, contact service provider. So whats what ive done. Yet they keep telling me my service and phone are active so they cant do anything. Ive seen a lot of people say to get an ATT sim and use that instead of the Verizon sim, and that will do the trick.
My phone number doesnt show up in settings. Network type doesnt. Cant edit or add or delete APN. PRL is blank in settings and no way to change it. Does anybody have any ideas or advice on what to do to fix all these issues???? I have 4 bars at all times but my service says 1x and yet i cant make calls or texts. Calls say im roaming and to buy a service card if I wanna make calls. Texts get stuck on sending then minutes later pop up they failed.

Are you certain that you activated the device correctly and entered the SIM card number correctly when you activated the device?
Give me an accurate and descriptive breakdown of the exact steps you took when you activated the device and SIM.
BTW, AT&T SIMs are for GSM devices, not CDMA devices, if your device is a Straight Talk device, your device is a CDMA device. I doubt an AT&T SIM will help.

I mean, I'm assuming I did everything right lol. I followed the steps the ST website took me thru. Phones brand new, never been activated. Brand new sim. I went to the website, chose activate, chose I have a ST phone, input my zip, input IMEI, input SIM #, input service pin, created my account, updated profile settings, restarted phone. The app says my service is active, the website says its active, ST CS says its active on their end. But I can't call or text or use data. My network type is 1xRTT. I have 4-5 bars at all times. When I try to call regular numbers, I get a "you are roaming, to place calls please purchase a service card" or something along those lines. When I try to call *73 like ST keeps telling me, it says sim not registered, sim not provisioned, contact service provider.

Samsung A51 disconnects from cellular network

Hi
I'm having a strange problem with my new A51, with two SIM cards in it.
After an indeterminate time the phone disconnects from cellular network.
It still shows on to the both cards the signal strength, but the phone no longer receives calls or has internet access throw cellular network.
And if I call any of the SIM card numbers from another phone, I get a network message saying the phone is disconnected.
All other functions on the phone seams to be ok. Turning wifi on and off has no effect in reconnecting to the cellular network.
But... If I try to call from A51 to any other number, the phone reregisters on cell network, the call is done and from that point on, all goes to normal. I can receive calls again and access the internet using the cellular network...
I went to the store were I bought it, and the gave me another one, but with the exact same problem.
So I believe is not a hardware problem.
I believe now that It could be a SIM problem, on one or both SIMS, which is odd
A software problem on A51 the need's to be patched, which is odd because it has effect on the most basic feature of the phone, which is receiving calls...
A strange behavior of the phone with my cellular service provider, which is odd too...
I'm trying now with only one SIM to see if the problems happens too...
Can any one suggest any other test or debug to try to clarify this issue ?
Thanks

VoWifi or similar solution for cheap calls abroad?

Hi!
First, let me tell you what I did before:
A while ago I was on a longer trip to a far country, meaning roaming charges were extreme. Luckily my provider offers a VoIP service using the SIP standard, which I can use to make and receive calls with my regular phone number. So abroad I purchased a local SIM with several gigabytes of data included, removed my original SIM and installed the new one, installed a SIP cliant app, configured it to my provider account and that's it. I was reachable on my regular number, as if I were home, for a very small price. Could call enyone and they would see my regular phone number as the caller. Even SMS worked.
Now, the SIP service is being phased out by my provider and "replaced" by VoWifi (aka WifiCalling).
That works if I find a WLAN, but what can I do elsewhere?
Can I again get a local SIM and use it in a dual SIM phone (if I understand correctly, VoWifi does not work without the original SIM, so I must keep it in the phone, unlike for the SIP method above).
So, VoWifi would use the mobile data of the other (local, therefore cheap) SIM, instead of WLAN. Does this work?
I could carry with me another phone, insert the local SIM into it and turn on a hotspot, then connect to it with my primary phone, but then I would need to carry two devices, charge two batteries etc...
Is there a simple solution that would work? That is: one phone, cheap calls (the provider charges VoWifi calls as if at home country, local data only SIM are usually 10 USD per month or so), using my regular phone number for outgoing and incoming calls
Regards,
David
