[Q] Rollback to Froyo from GB 2.3.5 XXKPM on my SGSL i9003

I flashed my SGSL to Gb 2.3.5 XXKPM using Odin, but now India is getting official update from Samsung of GB 2.3.5 so i would like to rollback to froyo as my Kies is not recognizing the current firmware on my SGSL. Is there any solution how to rollback to Froyo back?

y do u want to update thru kies?
some member had reported that it was taking an age to update via kies and also downloads used to stop halfway its'm.
so just update to the firmware you want thru odin.
isn't there any difference between updating via kies and flashing via odin?
............
never tried via kies, so dont know.
but flashing via odin will save you the trouble of flashing froyo again. so use odin!
and almost everyone uses odin!
i want the stock rom of Froyo which i had when i bought my SGSL.. can u provide me the link and instructions to flash with odin

DXKB2 flash ODIN help

ok, phone rooted with one click root now trying to flash cwm with CF Root universal via ODIN. Flased with the provided bagaria-09 GTi9003 tar file. flash was successful but stuck in bootloop. i searched for the entire forum believe me but to no avail. all DXKB2 links are dead. help needed.
why are you going back to DXKB2?
if you really plan on going back to froyo
download links are in sammobile.com but you have to register there first to be able to download
Code:
http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/?page=3&t=1&o=1&m=GT-I9003&r=2#regiona
but as a TIP
before going back to DXKB2 download DXKF1 first
flash DXKF1 then DXKB2
***regarding your problem
what was your firmware when you rooted it and applied universal CF by amit?

thanks for the reply man. dont plan to go back to DXKB2 trying to upgrade. should i just flash other tar files instead? where can i go from DXKB2? FYI the phone is DXKB2 Froyo.
ahhh
you should not flash amit universal CF root with DXKB2
DXKB2 = froyo
universal CFroot is for gingerbread versions
you should use firmware DXKP9 for your region if you like
or you could also use XXKPQ or XXKPU firmwares
those are gingerbread versions where you can use universal CFroot
if you want to use DXKP9
flash DXKF1 first then afterwards flash DXKP9
but if you want XXKPQ or XXKPU
flash DXKPE first then any of the 2 you like
for firmware flashing you should read and follow guide carefully

Firmware version

How can i check the firmware version if my phone is stuck on samsung logo. I cannot dial *#1234#, and was wondering if there was any other way to tell. I bought the phone off ebay, and it worked for a while. Now the phone gets stuck on the samsung logo, so i can't dial that number.
If you are hung up with the boot loop, it's difficult that you'd able to know the firmware.
I suggest flashing a stable stock ROM via Odin.
Go for either xxkpq or,ddlf2.
Detailed procedure to install can be found on the stickies of Android development section.(you'd have to install pit file, then xxkpe, then either xxkpq or ddlf2)
But if you still have warranty left, and want to still retain it, try to see if you can figure from the box or sticker under the battery, the county or region it was made for.
And flash firmware accordingly.
You can find the list of firmware (region specific) on the stickies on development section, with download links.

No, you can't directly flash ddlf2 directly if you need a clean install.
As ddlf2 is a value pack, you'd need to install xxkpe first, add it has all the components of gingerbread, viz. Bootloader, modem, csc, kernel, pda, param, system etc.
I request you to follow this order.
Latona.pit from xxkpe, then xxkpe, then ddlf2, then appropriate cf root kernel for ddlf2.

If you don't need a clean install, and you are on any gingerbread version, you can flash ddlf2 without any issues.
But it's just recommended to go for a clean install to avoid future problems.

For unrooting your device.. simply re-flash your current baseband firmware (xxle4), and you're unrooted.
For the random reboots problem, which rooting PDA are you using? Try the universal cf-root, it would probably be better. After flashing it, just wipe cache and dalvik.
