Stock Rooted Rom - Samsung Infuse 4G

Hey guys please don't bash me. I couldn't find it and I don't have a windows to use Superoneclick at the moment. I'm having some force quits that lead to a hanging "X" screen on Infused Froyo and it happens to me like every other day. REEEEEEEALLY annoying me at this point. I love GTG's stuff but I don't know whats causing this. I would like to go back to as stock as I can with root. I will be retiring apps and app data just not the user data in TiBu. ANy help would be greatly appreciated. Everything seemed fine then all of a sudden the phone sucks.

The only way to get to stock is to do the unbrick by gtg

[Q] Unable to text unless my battery is in the red after the offical update

Long time lurker, but i dont think i have posted before...so sorry if this is on the wrong place/already been answered, if that is the case i would love be be redirected to where i should go.
Anyways, after updating this morning, everything worked fine other that some occasion lag. But when i opened up handcent, it was just a black screen. so i reinstalled it, and still no dice. the default messaging app had the same problem. If someone texted me i wouldnt get it, and there was no way for me to send out a text. then, when my battery went down to red, all of a sudden it worked like normal. i was able to charge it and even when the battery was full it still worked. However, when i reset my phone, it stopped working again, and resumed working when my battery got to red. Im pretty sure those are the only symptoms i noticed...Any ideas on what is going on/what i can do to remedy it?
And fyi, i was rooted before the upgrade and have rooted since. I had oclf, but disabled it before i upgraded.
Shameless bump, I really need help
Only thing I can think of is a bad install of the update. I would suggest going back to 2.1 using odin and then reinstalling the froyo update

So step one of http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=884364
Then follow the installation of 2.2 as samsungs website outlines? Would that require me to restore all of my apps and settings from tibu again?
Thanks

Yea if you are going to flash back to odin you will need to back up all user apps using titanium backup. Make sure you do not restore any system apps though as that can cause problems. Also you will lose your texts so I would recommend backing them up. I use sms backup+

My friend had the same problem and had to go back to 2.1 and re-install the update and then it worked. Seems like the update didn't install correctly on a handful of Captivates.
okay so i still haven't done this because of how long restoring everything with tibu takes, but if I am gonna have to go through this process again, should i just make my first venture into flashing a custom rom? Am i correct in thinking that flashing wont be messed up because of the current glitch i have because it all reverts back to stock as the first step anyways?

GTG's Ultimate Unbrick - Return to stock
Can someone tell me if I return my phone to factory settings (cause I want to return it) after flashing infused ROM on it, will the company suspect anything? Crazy parents don't know anything about phones anyway
you can just use GTG's unbrick thread. Reboot into download and Odin it back to stock with the files he provides.
update fails
okay, so I used GTG's Ultimate Unbrick to restore. It totally worked! Now i am having an issue with the update. The phone will not update. Is there a way to fix this? the update will download, and when it reboots and starts to update, it will get to 25% and a message "update failed"
Same thing is happening to me. I even did a factory reset and still wont update.

Download this and flash it with Odin.
http://sourceforge.net/projects/teamacid/files/fb/roms/custom_kc1_cwm/csc.tar.md5
You might need to re-convert to ext4 afterward.
EDIT
It goes on the CSC section by the way.
Can't Odin without a PC.lol

I should've read the whole post. It appears that he's on gingerbread though, so the modified recovery file won't work. He'll have to wait till he gets on a pc. :/
What FBi said. Ughhh if only the cwm didnt get erased. Do you know the cause of this problem or is it just random...?
P.S. Currently running stock KF2 deodex. Rooted. :/. Ahaha. I was on kh2 but somehow it went back to kf2..

Only way it could've gone back to KF2 would be that you flashed it. The thing is that a lot of people reported having more trouble with the earlier GB builds, I'd stick with anything past KG6, so KG6, KH1 OR KH2 for now since that'll get rid of a lot of your problems.
If you do wanna stick with KF2, you'll have to flash the CSC file from KC1 through Odin, then do a factory reset. That should fix the disappearing apps problem. (Raver figured that one out).
u can factory reset from the phone if you can get into blue recovery also do factory reset and wipe cache then do it again from in the phone itself...
that should fix it..
@fbi. The thing is. I was running kh2 then after the 3days, it suddenly changed back to kf2?. idontevenknowhow. I did not flash anything or even touch my phone at all during the 3 days... And i cant get in blue recovery. Even with quickboot. . gotta wait till i can get to a pc.

Guys I was thinkin of flashin that and staying in kf2... BUT I decided that I dont really like it. Moved on to kh1 audiophile. Thanks for the help.
P.s neone know how I can fix the force close when I go to manage apps ->all

Question: I was bricked when restoring a backup??? huh?

Okay guys, I'm only 14 and this really confused me.
I was running the Rom Glorious Overdose V2 and everything was as smooth as butter for several of weeks. All of a sudden everything started force closing and everything became unusable. So I wanted to restore the backup I made with the red Voodoo recovery. I watched all of the logs run and say I had a successful recovery from the backup. When I rebooted the phone, I was stuck at the Sidekick boot screen.
Eventually I was able to ODIN back to the stock Rom but I'm still very confused as to why restoring a backup bricked the phone.
Does anyone know or have ideas why it happened?
Sounds like a permission thing, could've ran a fix. Also mightve been a certain change from your point, to the point in time where you made a backup.
P.S. I'm 12.

You also can run into problems trying to roll back to the stock kernel and file system.
It's a known issue if you read around the forum a little bit.

[Q] Why does my new Atrix2 keep crashing and rebooting????

Hey guys, I'm currently on the ICS leak and SCV7 rom, and my phone just keeps crashing and restarting, I've cleared the cache and dalvik cache multiple times, I don't think it was doing this on 2.3.6. What can I try? I just took this thing out of the box
Couple things you can try:
Factory reset.
Try NOT overclocking.
And try removing the supercharger script.

Thanks for the reply, it was doing it on the leak as well because I had a lot of trouble getting it rooted. It seems that every time it crashes it goes through the boot loop, crashes at a certain part, then boots properly to the lockscreen. The phone feels awesome and fast but extremely unstable. Another problem I'm having, root doesn't seem to be working, "Super user has denied Super user request" nothing can get root, so I can't boot into CWM to try and wipe stuff properly. Maybe I got a dodgy version of the leak or something I'm not sure, I guess I'm lucky I didn't install the OTA and I can go back. Any idea on the root situation?
EDIT: Just did a factory reset in stock recovery, can you tell me how I can go about not overclocking removing the supercharger script? And once it boots, if it boots, I'm going to try and root using the ICS .bat root script and hopefully I can get into a custom recovery.
When installing SCv7 is it normal for it to get stuck on the Preparing SCv7 message and then reboot? I'm not sure if it's installing scripts and restarting the phone or what... Because it did this the first time I installed it, and it's doing it again now after a factory reset. If I can get into CWM I'll try and flash the rom again. Can I flash the other ICS rom after a wipe, or do I need to FXZ back to 2.3.5, OTA to 2.3.6, flash the leak, then install the other rom?
I installed the other rom based on the leak, same problem, tried without my sim card, without my sd card, just keeps crashing, boot looping, and being generally unstable. Atm I'm using Jims FXZ script to go back to GB, I'll update to 2.3.6, keep everything stock and see how the phone goes, I'm really hoping I don't have the same problems on GB, because if I do then it seems like a hardware issue, and I really can't be bothered sending it back. I'll keep updating.
Rdavisct has posted in the SCV7 thread about how to remove those, and yes mate, I think you're on the right track with FXZing back to 2.3.5 and the re-updating to ICS.
Let me know how it goes. I'll keep an eye on this thread. :fingers-crossed:
I need to get the battery charged then I can fxz back to 2.3.5. Hopefully it all works out. Any ideas what would have caused the crashing?

I hope it all works out because I literally only got to use the phone for about 5 minutes . Really liked ICS, super smooth super fast, screen is awesome. Crossing my fingers. My old HTC at least lasted a month or so before bricking .
I've subscribed to this thread so let me know if you run into any hiccups.
