Hey guys, been having fun with the XPlay for 2 months, and played several games.
However, I haven't found any games that actually makes me want to use the touchpad; games like Eternal Legacy had bad touchpad control for me, and Modern Combat 2's touchpad support is just plain disgusting.
Thus I would like to ask for the community to share game titles that makes good use of the touchpad. Thanks!
P/S: Does the native PS1 emulator use the touchpad well? Does that make it better than FPSE?
I think that these are really good games, ones you give the touchpad a change. The controls can be very tricky in the beginning, but like i said, give it some time.
* Battlefield BC2
* Backstab
* Real Football
* Dead Space
* Rainbow six
I thought the touch pad for Sacred odyssey was pretty good when you changed the sensitivity options...

Death Worm
Dungeon Defenders
Minecraft
PewPew 2
Those games are perfect with the touchpads.
Age of Zombies definitely.
Thanks for the response! I will try out the games. Backstab was a disappointing experience for me (but maybe because my phone was laggy before I flashed the .184 image).
Will definitely try out BC2 and R6, and am trying Sacred Odyssey now.
Not in the mood for Minecraft as I have a local server in my computer. Haha.
And YES Age of Zombies is fantastic.

Samurai Vs. Zombies defense is the only game I have been addicted to. Other games just don't cut it for me. I want a good platformer. This game I found worth it though because you get to level up and actually have to strategize instead of throw birds at things or guess what people are drawing. How boring!

I am not the biggest gamer...having played a little WoW back in the day, and first two Diablo games....which I liked a great deal...and a few others.
What I am looking for (which might not exist yet) is an Android game that is RPG strategy with less emphasis on first person shooter (don't mind this, but don't want to play Resident Evil or XBox games that are all first person shooting games).
I also liked Sim games somewhat, but was hoping to find something like... Myst (which is an oldie I realize, but I am considering the Android platform) or maybe Diablo 1 or 2. Or, of course, but I know impossible, something like Skyrim... Something where I can immerse a character in a story and try to find clues/weapons/etc. toward completing an ultimate over-arching game goal (solve murder, prevent evil group takeover, or whatever).
I like the fantasy R&D themed games, but a modern storyline would be really cool.
Amy help is greatly appreciated!

How much does it cost? I'm just curious, and the Play page doesn't say, and none of the reviewers are, either. Looks good, though. This plays like a Zelda game?
To the OP: I've been playing games on Gameboid, a GBA emulator. It's not in Google Play, you have to go to the SlideMe market (web-based, you download the .apk and sideload it). I find it runs the GBA version of Zelda 3 better than the Super NES emulator runs the original, and the GBA version actually fixes a few things. So I've played that, and also the Castlevania games on my phone. Controls could be better but aren't terrible.

Ok thanks a lot for the responses.
I was looking around on the market and saw GTA3. I actually never played this (I hear it is a port of the original) but spent many hours of my life playing Driver on PS. The thing that I wanted to ask about which GTA3 brought to mind was off the games mentioned, one element that I was looking for (if the 3D is pretty good ...GTA3 really surprised me) is detailed and/or extensive environments. I loved Skyrim and virtually any MMO for this reason (but it doesn't need to be multi-player)... I think that's why adventure games always were the most interesting... In contest to FPS games anyway. Just the endless exploration of the game world...to me that is escapism at its best.
I am trying most of the games mentioned here in this thread, but if the above additional info triggers anyone's recollection of any others... please let me know!
Thanks,
Syntropic

I really enjoy Virtua tennis challenge (paid) on my LG Optimus 2X. The game is more or less like the PC version, except for the training part of the carreer mode. But the most important part, the gameplay is excellent and the graphics are great. You are controlling your player by swyping, which is really easy to get a hang of.
I was on the fence about paying for virtual tennis. Saw some reviews saying the control was bad so I didn't take the leap.
One awesome new game I like is wargames, its a puzzle game, matching tiles type game. It's also based off the 80's movie of the same name.
Major mayhem is a really good game. Max Payne and Dead Trigger are great shooters with best graphics on mobile devices.
My last addition is Organ Trail. It's based off the old Oregon Trail games a lot of us used to play in elementary school. Except now you're running from zombies. Great nostalgia and gameplay, but I'm not sure I liked paying the $5 for it. Pick up a free version if you can.
But yeah, game dev story is really good. Not many mobile games can match that level of addictiveness.
I like the gameboy advance emulators for my phone. Advance Wars is a classic strategy game. Wish they could put that much quality into every mobile game.

Really? Are u like 12? "not much good and fun to play". U sound exactly like the people giving one stars to obvious 5 star games on the play store because "I can't fart adjust manual screen in crap case, BAD GAME!".
Got a game for u similar to can knockdown 2, its called kick rocks junior. Real much good, u should try it.
I really like the following games on my Galaxy S2:
Plants vs Zombies
Cut the Rope
ShadowGun
Where's my Water/Perry
Anomaly HD
Dungeon Hunter
Great Little War Game (GLWG)
Refraction
Doodle Fit!
Toki Tori
Most of those are puzzle games, but IMO those work best on a relatively small screen.
Just my 2 cents.
Here are the two best games that I play(smoothly!)on my Wildfire S.
Plants vs. Zombies
Dead Space(It actually is kind of hard to believe it runs on hardware this weak and still looks so good.)
agree with nova Dead Space 3 and I have played and are very good, recommended

And for us, we have organ trail and McPixel. I appreciate games from when I was 7, like Mike Tyson's punchout and Bubble Bobble. Wish I grew up spoiled on GTA 3 and Max Payne. The only really good game i have played on android is final fantasy iii; nova 3 looks amazing, mc3 too and all those games mentioned before but none of them actually feels like a console game (except ports like gtaiii, max payne, ffiii, etc), graphicswise they do but as a whole, they still feel cheap and unpolished because the companies making those games are still too young.
Vita and Android
hello speaking of games and android. I'm wondering if its possible to install android on the vita by writing a custom version of droid from the kernal level up and flashing it onto the rom using Jtag. if so could someone know the type of rom in the vita. i know the ps3 uses nand and i believe the newer models use nor. but i'm unsure what the vita uses.
Spirits is the best
