I'm looking for some of the stock apps that came with the Infuse. If anyone has them, I'd appreciate it if you uploaded them. Looking for Angry Birds and the Media Hub specifically.

pull them from an odin package (use 7zip to decompress the .tar and magic iso to view the contents of the .rfs images) the files are in /system/app in the factoryfs.rfs image

Hey guys im fairly new to the android platform
And i love it more than the rest. and so far its been great until i hit a stump.
i was able to download the 210mb .zip my friend sent me of all his .apk's and i unzipped it woh ease in under 3 minutes. now i have a 23mb .7z compressed video my friend sent me from my birthday and i cant decompress it
Ive tried astro file manager and androzip
Theresult is always a 0 -byte .avi file and itssupposed to be 30mb
i tried it with a 29mb 7z file of a playlist and it also didnt work
So how can i actually decompress a 7z?
.rars and zips work
Just not 7z
and i dont have computer access either
Only my phone (samsung galaxy s, vibrant) , 2.1 eclair
try to use "AndroZip File Manager"
may I suggest AndroXplorer v.3

Any way to possibly edit the PSoriginalWallpaper with more colors?
or the other one the second psp wave wallpaper?
I really like them but i wish that it had a black a slick black color like the original PS3 had before FW 3.0
I've searched but its all confusing.
BTW i have a R800x with the held back FW 2.3.3 Verizon
You can download this:
https://market.android.com/details?...azyzenlab.wavelivewallpaper.lite&rdot=1&pli=1
And you can make the background black like you want.
Or alternatively
"market.android.com/details?id=com.danielcotton.ps3lwp"
Copy/paste into browser!

Lol dude you aint gonna be able to hex edit a jar/apk file.
You need a decompiler
signature tool
alot of tools to do it depending on what apk it is.
for editing png you will just want to extract the data
rename the apk to .jar extension
then use an extraction tool to unpack the jar.
the files your looking for will more then likely be in /res/drawable-hdpi/
also you're going to need photoshop to do the img edits more then likely
Well image editing is not a prob for me, I'm a web designer.
I've messed around with codes all my life but I don't know how apk files are made .
I've searched and seen people saying .apk is just a zip which does extract when renamed and i do see alot of text files and a few files that aren't text editable

I think thats because the live wall paper apks dont actually contain the image data from the live wall-papers
I will do a search and try to find where the apk is referencing
I just can't find a way to extract what is in the .img files.
It's such a small file so shouldn't be hard to find.
Downloading it from the Play store does not resolve the issue
How can I re-acquire the needed .odex file and/or extract what I may need from the .img files?

Do you have a Backup of your system - if so restore your backup. If not google extract .img files and look for software.
No backup...I just need to find a way to extract the files from the .img files of which I did google but nothing useful came up

Why the hell is it impossible for someone to find a way to get such a small measly file to get this stupid update to go through!!
Which update are you trying to apply? You will need the pre-updated file. 4g updates were 3.2.4 and 3.2.6.

I'm on 3.2.4 and trying to update to whatever it's asking me to update it to.

Because that's the first thing you do when you are going to flash stuff. If you had done this the first time you wouldn't be in this situation.

did u ever find the file? if so can you send it to me. i have a similar issue
Okay. Here is my situation. I have the original Playstation disc but my cat decided to have some fun with it. It is now scratched beyond belief. I went to coolrom.com to download the image. Found it and extracted it....no problem so far.
Here is the issue. The files I extracted contain several bin files and a cue file. Since there is no way to mount a virtual drive in Android, I decided to use my Macpup Linux laptop and ran "cat TombRaider.bin.001 TombRaider.bin.002....etc.>image.bin" in the terminal. It merged all the files into one single file.
Success, right? Wrong....I can play the game, yes....without sound! Ugh! Please....any advice would be awesome, guys!

Well if theres any files with a 001 002 extension they're usually rar files in my experiance try extracting with winrar or something ps games should only be 1 bin 1cue file or CCD depending on what they were ripped with.

I'm none too sure about this and it's relatedness to Android itself nor the SK4G. (Nor do I condone piracy, which if you own an original copy is NOT piracy). However, .bin files are disc image files and are read by the emulator this .bin is usually the game. However, as said above if it's 001, 002 format, you may need to use WinRAR if not, HJSplit on Windows to extract/join the archives. After doing so, the outcome should either be a .bin file type or .cue file type.

Ah, the Jedi Master himself....thanks, TLS. I'll give it a shot and let you know how it goes. Thanks to you too, azcledel. :good:
No such luck, guys. After some extensive research, I found out that because of the subchannel audio bins, it must be burned to a cd then played using espxe. I just figured that since I had Final Fantasy 7 working, that I could play this classic on my phone. Ah, well.
Hello, All,
I've downloaded JiN1337's very helpful emergency package for reflashing stock ROM, etc:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1593065
His KJ2 is 260MB in .jar fomat, while the other two KJ2 files still available for download in .tar are about 410MB. Is that b/c .jar compresses better than .tar? Or are these different beasts altogether?
Any illumination would be great, thanks,
Jake
Google is your friend
(In doobies voice from harry potter)
Idk much about tar files but to me it seems that it has a jar folder inside of it
But google will tell you the difference for sure ;D

Just a follow-up note to say that I used 260mb .jar fiile and it flashed fine, giving the Sidekick 4G a factory-set KJ2. As for the larger file in .tar, I couldn't get to the bottom of its size difference to the .jar.
