Hey guys and gals, on my old htc hd2 it the facebook app would match up my contacts with online frinds and update the contact images with their facebook photos. Anyone know how to do the same kinda thing with the xoom? It was a really nifty feature.

If you just want pictures use syncmypix from market... Friendcaster for tab does contacts I'm pretty sure

I was thinking about getting Gingerbread. Can somebody tell me, how the contacts in gingerbread are?
Actually Im using a HD Sense ROM and there's that great Facebook integration (including birthdays in calendar). I cant find any videos or reviews of the contacts ;(

actually, there are comparable, chek these out:
tweetcaster hd for twitter
friendcaster for facebook
I cheked many apps out for facebook & twitte, these 2 seems to be best featured & unbuggies ones.
P.S enjoy
You can also side load the Facebook app too btw
I'm using it right now but be warned it fc's when you try to look at a friends profile directly...

Friend Me for Facebook.. i think its awesome it basically looks like the gmail layout but for facebook
I've found friend caster to be better than friend me. Friend me doesn't seem to update as well, also friend caster allows sync of contacts
Or get google + and make life 10x easier

So the facebook-app can sync the profile pictures of all my friends which is all neat and stuff, but it only saves the thumbnail - this looks horrible when i call people when using ICS (since the picture covers most of the screen).
Is there any mod to that app, or some other app that can sync the fullsize profile picture of my friends from facebook?
(no, manually editing the pictures through google contacts is not an option since i want the pictures to update whenever my friends change their profile pic)
I would need something like that too.
There are apps like HD caller ID, but there you must add a picture for everyone manually.

HaxSync is only for ICS, and Facebook contacts sync didn't work for me.

it can sync different sizes of the pictures, and you can choose to sync only contacts or all facebook friends

Hi all, got my n5 and its my first google phone. I have set up my contacts, facebook and twitter but now want to link my contacts so that the facebook contact photos are the contact photos in the people app. Can someone guide me

I use sync.me from the play store..
I used to use uber sync... works too.. sync.me seems to do a better job.
Coming from a HTC One X+ with Sense 5, contacts are linked to Facebook/Twitter etc which is really useful and a feature I really miss with pure Android.
So, in light of this I have two questions:
Can it be done with stock Android without a 3rd party app?
If not, is there a better solution than Contacts+? Whilst this app is ok, it's not as refined as I'd like.
Still love the phone though, by far the best I've had! If I can solve this contact linking issue then I'll be happy as Larry!
I use HaxSync for syncing Facebook contacts
For Facebook, I use the sync contacts option from Friendcaster. I don't actually use the app otherwise.
Thanks guys, do either of these apps change anything in the contacts? I.e. Can you see Facebook statuses and things when you go into a contact or does it just keep the profile photo synced?
