[Q] Editing Android apk supporting different screen size ~ help - General Questions and Answers

Hi , I am new here , someone suggest me here for android dev.
Newbie , would like to know is it a possible way to edit xml file to fit the screen size of an apps game ? Helping a friend of mine

I had decompile it using apk manager downloaded from xda forum but without much knowledge on java+xml (newbie) , I dont know which line to edit it .
I tried with LCD density setting it lower still it doesn't fit the screen.
it works well with smaller screen size but not on large screen size.Here I attach the picture and apk file with zip.
The first picture fill up the screen but when installing in a galaxy tab 1200x600 , it get smaller on the second picture .Possible to edit or workaround changing the size ?
Here I attach a decompile apk and zip it.Hoping some could help out.

I saw an app that done this for legacy rom resolutions - will see what I can find for you.

Hi guys I need help finding some files y'all know the android lock screen the three by three dot I need all files that are used for that lock-screen ps I just need the dir or/and file names and thank you for the info and your time
Your looking for them in a ROM I'm guessing?
If so, in the framework-res.apk (System / framework) in one of the drawable folders

One more thing if you know of anyone who is willing to remake the android lockscreen for the iPod touch that can make it more like the real android lockscreen if so plz replay

Stock bootanimation for Galaxy N7000

I am looking for a .png file from the STOCK BOOT ANIMATION for use as my wallpaper. I haven't rooted my Note, I was waiting to do so after the release of ICS, so at this point in time I don't have access to the file. All of the BA's I've D/L are either a custom BA or the BA from the Galaxy Nexus.
I'm looking for the Samsung Galaxy Note splash screen that appears just before the animated Samsung Logo - obviously from the zip file that is locked since - once again, I'm not rooted.
I am hoping somebody will please provide the entire zip file so I can choose the best frame to make my wallpaper. Any help is deeply appreciated.

I just wanted to say THANK YOU cuz I was finally able to download the files from the links you provided me. I needed to use a desktop browser so I used my Asus Transformer in desktop mode and was able to snag the files on the 1st attempt.

As far as i know and googled around, no way u can edit qmg files.

Simply follow the links provided by nposix to download the Samsung bootanimation and loop. They only come in a .QMG file which then has to be unzipped giving you access to the JPG or PNG files. That's where the problem comes in, at this point I personally cannot file an app to unzip them to gain access to the files.
nposix was generous enough to provide the download links and all we need now is the key to pandora's box. If youu or perhaps anybody else has a way in please post the a link for the app, process, or the JPG or PNG files themselves.
I personally am asking help from anybody to help me obtain the Galaxy Note N7000 splash screen for use as my wallpaper. ANY helpwould be most appreciated and welcomed!

well just pulled the trigger for the note, very happy! just like the 5.3 inch compairing to my 4.3 inch on my sg2......have made several search, but didn"t have any succes so far to find a solution about wallpaper.... would be very pleased to have the wallpaper logo splash screen too.......
For rooted Note users please
Could anyone who rooted their Galaxy Note PLEASE grab the black "Galaxy Note N7000" and black Samsung Logo that are displayed upon system boot please. I'm sure the files would have to be in the system/customize/resource folder or perhaps media folder.
Please select, in your own humble opinion, the image displaying the best overall quality and then could you PM me with them. I'd sincerely appreciate them for use as my wallpaper. I"ve looked everywhere and can't find them - I believe they'll need to pulled from the embedded files.

Hi i just Upgraded to lollipop these week and moded it a bit
What can u mention is that now i using a custom rom with some ported apps from note4 that is have no problem and the rom base is still stock android 5.0.1 for i9500
I dont know what apk or Something get changed or i changed something wrong and now any text i enter in messages app and whatsapp or similar app turn into link
For Example i want to type : "hi.ok" it turns into link "hi.ok"
But if i type "hi. Ok" its allright and no problem
This mean something handle this content is missy detect any sinple text as link.
Could you helppp me plzz devs how to fix this?

Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. I don't why you're having that issue. It could be things you've modified or the app. I would return to stock and then install your apps and see if it's working correctly. Then do what ever mods you did. Tah'll narrow it down to an app issue or the mods you did.

But I had such a problem that in my notification panel there where is carrier label is black line, and i can't delete it. Can someone tell me how i can delete it or can i delete it?

Still have a question knows someone good themes XthemeEngine application. My phone is a Samsung Galaxy Core +. I've found some great themes, but they are not working properly. I would seek Lollipop theme. Am currently using by AndroidL by Paras.
And succeeded in the system buttons change the way that I would remove apk system folder, for example, message application, and I would also put in place system / app folder even though Google's messaging application.
Sorry for my bad english. Google translator is what it is.. :/

I don't have access to Samsung's theme editor tool so I want someone's help who has access to it. Could you plz make a stock s7 theme with just one alteration. The NOTIFICATION PANEL. Could you plz change it to the one attached below.
