Must have messed up on customing mtz...
what I've done :
- I've put it on my PC.
- change the extension *.mtz to *.rar
- extract it,
- add the extension *.zip to "icons" file.
- replace and add icons
- delete the extension *.zip on the icones files.
- compress in rar
- change the extension *.rar to *.mtz
Result :
- unable to apply theme. (And I noticed that the preview screenshot in theme manager is not showing anymore for the modified mtz)
i'm using different theme by editing every part in theme manager.
But I've modified 2 or 3 things in RD's dark Orange v1.4.0.3T theme :
- the carrier logo in com.android.systemui/rev/drawable-en-hdpi/
- the "about phone" logo (in settings.apk and updater.apk)
and a chinese theme called "卡通小人_(20441.1)" when I apply the one freshly downloaded the phone convert it cause it an old.
(I've just modified the icons for this one)
I use different parts of themes to do mine :
main theme : RD's dark Orange v1.4.0.3T
lockscreen : sidekick v3
launcher : Soda
icon set : 卡通小人_(20441.1)
status bar : RD's dark Orange v1.4.0.3T
Fonts : claire Mixed
SMS-MMS : RD's dark Orange v1.4.0.3T
Dialer Theme : Ash Bolt
Boot animation : RD's dark Orange v1.4.0.3T
Is there a way to have those 2 modified theme working ... ? :'(
Try a .zip extension. That works for me. Also use normal compression
Sent from my Nexus S 4G using XDA App
I've done that just before go. Thank you for your answer never the less. That tip works for me. Use the *.zip extension instead of *.rar it does the trick.
I took the main mtz I use, the RD's. Put the modified icons file in ... all good
sent from my toilets
use this little nice tool
only select the folder with ur uncompressed normal folder structur
thanks for the soft man ! appreciate !

Nice! trying it now!
Gives me a reason to go back to Froyo haha!
Amazing work as always!!! Everything works as planned!!!
thanks , gonna try it out
Looks good! Thanks!
continue to theme
What are the chances of getting the bar at the top black as well? Like you've done previously.
Love your work.
Oh and, i don't seem to have the background you have when i slide the menu bar down from the top - any ideas?
Thanks again!
Can't seem to get the battery morph to work. Invalid or can't find theme file. I'm seen this before but I can't remember what was wrong. I'm using Froyo.
EDIT: There is no .thm file in the zip file. Maybe it's not a morph and I should flash in recovery?
is the ongoing battery notification part of the update zip or is that a seperate app?
thanks.
To all of you having a problem with the battery . Use the latest version of metamorph and morph it it will reboot and your done if you use anothe mod for the status bar like clear or grey just. Re morph the battery mod
I updated to the latest MM and I'm still getting the cannot find theme control file error message.
EDIT: I deleted my zip file from android themes, re-downloaded and it worked. Thanks.
Is there a version around that shows the battery percentage remaining in the middle of the circle?
If I flash the this theme and then the FroYo gray bar, would it work?

Thank you Rohan...
I am in BAM kernel and I guess people using the same would need to rename the file to bootanimation.zip.
Cheers
Yes! Most of the custom kernels use bootanimation.zip instead of sanim.zip

Yes it is possible. To make it a little easier follow this:
Download my MIUI White Loading Bar Bootanimation for MIUI
That is already a .mtz-Theme file and you don't need to do that much to modify it
Download this bootanimation here and make sure its filename is "bootanimation.zip"
Open the .mtz-Theme with any Archive Extractor like 7-zip or WinRAR
There is a Folder with an bootanimation.zip. If I remember right its name was "bootanimation" Replace the file with yours
There also another folder with some preview images, delete the images so that they won't confuse you
The name of the theme is unimportant to you:
Copy the edited .mtz-Theme to /sdcard/MIUI/theme/
Open the theme chooser in your settings.
At the lower screen you can open the theme settings, do that.
Select Bootanimation and select "MIUI White Loading Bar"
If you also want to change the name of the Theme:
At the root of the .mtz-Theme there is a File with the theme description, extract that, cause you will need to edit it.
There are three attributes: the name, author and version of the theme. Edit them as you like. e.g. "Galaxy SII Bootanimation, Samsung, 1.0"
Save and replace the edited file with the on in the .mtz-Theme
Copy the edited .mtz Theme to /sdcard/MIUI/theme/
Open the theme chooser in your settings.
At the lower screen you can open the theme settings, do that.
Select Bootanimation and select the theme with the name you have given it.

Well normally MIUI is able to display Bootanimations that are saved as JPEG. I did it with my bootanimation and it worked. Unfortunately I'm currently on CM9 Alpha3 v2, so I am not able to test anything if I would try to build a .mtz Package for you.
Thanks
Thank you! This looks awesome on my phone.
Awesome boot animation! Great work + great share!
Very nice.
Thank you! This looks awesome on my phone.

I hate blue images in settings and the other blue details (such as switches on the statusbar) which comes with many of 7.1.1 roms, so I edited myeslf framework-res.apk and I replaced blue color with the stock teal.
In order to get all this, download the apk below and put it to your /system/framework/ folder (replace the old one), then reboot.

It's my first "mod", so I'm not responsable for any damage to your device.
