[ICON&UI] ARC Icon and UI for some apps for your custom rom!

I thought some of you might like to have the ARC look on your custom rom (like me) and i just feel like sharing something to the community.
so i've managed to edit some apk files and here you go.
This should work on any CM 6 rom and freex10 rom.
just flash this file with xRecovery and enjoy! ( I hope)

This will affect:
browser.apk - The exact same look as the ARC browser
calculator.apk - icon only
calendar.apk - The exact same look (not sure)
camera.apk - icon only
contacts.apk - credit to Wolfbreak, I only changed the contact picture (android) to ARC contact picture
deskclock.apk - The round clock widget. The exact same look.
email.apk - Everything except for the background, I will be really appreciated if some-one will tell me how to change it.
gallery3d.apk - the exact same look.
mms.apk - messaging, i only changed contact pic and icon, credit goes to Wolfbreak
music.apk - icon and widget, ARC style
settings.apk - power control widget has the exact same look as ARC. However, i didnt change settings icons because i don't have Cyanogen Setting Icon that looks "ARC" enough

Quick question bud, Im using CM 6.1.3 right now, when your new version is available, will it be a completely new ROM or just an update that we could flash with xRec?

Completly new but it will still take some Days till release.

hmmm...
have you tried to remove gallery3d.apk from your: system\app\ (using "RootExplorer") and tried flashing the gallery again?
That might work
If you haven't and want to try this it's better if you back up the original file first.

Yeah most of them work great on my FreeX10 Beta4!
Just some minor problems don't if it is my problem.
calendar - turn white and show nothing (see attachement)
setting - when pressing CyanogenMod settings, face (The application Setting (process com.android.settings) has stopped unexpectedly.) Is it because I havn't install CyanogenMod Setting?

It's because the files are for CM 6.1.3 ROM. FreeX10 doesn't have CM settings as it's AOSP built.

i flashed it on my wolfbreak rom (newest version) but now my settings menu is black and the camera app is still the same, only the icons changed

The camara app only has the ARC camera icon, nothing so fancy about that.
Have you managed to fix that problem? The power control widget really has a nice ARC look.
Have you tried flashing only settings.apk again?

how do you get the arc status bar? mine is only the stock white 2.2 look

im taking the framework-res.apk out of wolfbreaks rom and going to put it in my free x10 beta 4. hope it works, wish me luck

in case that doesn't work just open Freex10 framework-res.apk with winrar or sth
look for folder "drawable-hdpi" and "drawable-land-hdpi" u need to replace these two folders with Wolfbreak's framework.

Edit: After Installing this, the Contacts are modified, Now I'm not getting (A,B,C...) buttons in the Contacts for Search and also the Interface of Contacts has gone back to default froyo 2.2 screen (Like 4.5 version of wolfbreak rom).

[APP NEW LAUNCHER] Lewa Launcher from Lewa OS

Lewa Launcher from Lewa OS​
This launcher is from Lewa OS, i tried in LG GT540 with Android 2.3.7 and works excellent, if works in my GT540, probably works in others phones. Lewa Launcher has themes, when you install Lewa Launcher, open app drawer( sliding up the main bar of icons ), see an icon that says "themes", open it and there is a list of themes to download. Lewa launcher is very fast, fluid and smooth.
Just download and try it.

Interesting I'm gonna try it on my Galaxy Fit and see if it works. Btw where can I download themes for the launcher?
EDIT : Nvm, it works quite well on my GFIT and found the themes setting ~ will tell you if I found bugs ~

I have no idea why the zip is so large. The actual apk inside the zip is only 2 MB.
I installed the apk that's in my Dropbox myself and it's pretty good. There's even an update function within the app that works. Pretty smooth launcher. I have to wonder why it isn't available on Play?

is there any way in lewa launcher to add shortcut to dock, because i have only 3 icons and i dont use stock sms app

to make it work without force closes put it in system/app and change permission

You can also grab launcher on official lewa site here.
If it'll stop work it means they've updated app and you should look for frog icon here.

Offcourse you can move all the shortcuts were you like.

Keep working on it. This launcher has lot of potential. I would suggest using a better name and just refine a few aspects on it like theme changing. if you can make theme changing as good as miui then I would make this my daily launcher.

[MOD] New Evolution Theme Xperia J (ST26I)

I propose to you, that my mod, the original theme for Xperia J - ST26I​

- also works on MIRO - See post # 14 from test wergon
- It works in portrait and landscape mode,
- It works well on unlocked bootloader, but I think it works just ROOT
- The test was performed by me on my rom firmware from Stock 11.2.A.0.31, default wallpaper changed framework_res.apk
Given that the tests were carried out on Xperia J with rom-changed.
Specified below:
I extract the original firmware (11.2.A.0.31), after converting it in FTF format, I converted from ODEX, in DEODEX ROM FINAL. Some changes
to the build.prop, status bar, frameworks, icons, etc. ..
TUTORIAL:
- BACKUP ORIGINAL THEME (with root explorer etc. ..)
- Extract the rar and put the folder VENDOR inside the SYSTEM folder ... with relevant permits ....
- restart
DOWNLOAD POST 2
DO NOT ASK FOR MONEY BUT ONLY THANKS IF YOU LIKE MY WORK....
I do not feel responsible for any malfunctioning of your device

Upload photo on internet,for example: http://www.tinyuploads.com/ And copy url of image when it will be uploaded and copy it to first post!
+ upload file on http://www.mediafire.com/ or something,because download gives 404 error!

Thank you .... but it is not the first photo or upload files that attach directly here on xda. It never occurred a similar error! However, the problem is even download the file ... try again tomorrow if it is a problem of slow line otherwise the gate ..

I am happy my mod works well on AVD rom.
Just the AVD rom was my first rom that I installed on my Jlo, just in this rom, the themes were crashing on my phone.
The icons you see, were one of the first changes that I made on most of the system applications, to my cooked rom.
But the change is not on SYSTEMUI or more .... but it is on every single application .... and it gets boring post ....
example: my PHONE.APK modified, may not work on other rom, 'cause the changes on my rom can be different from other rom .... framework-res ....
systemui setting .... .... etc ...
I hope I did understand ....
I have to decide to publish my rom ... I believe that the road is more convenient ....

As I have already said this mod was created by JB 11.2.A.0.31. The premise was used to this ....
I believe it also works on Odex rom, but not in cm10.
In the past I did some cooking rom cm10, - cm10.1 and AOKP for HTC HD2 and HTC WILDFIRE S with similar test, but with no results

Have a play first.
No issues with widgets atm.
Please note tho sebster, you are on viper? Beware that some things may conflict.
One of which is the clock on statusbar.
Rest reported ok on m8.
Great thing is, just disable in xposed and back to how you were before.
Gah the joy of not having to worry about porting everytime a new base comes out is pure bliss

Remember this only early versions. Plenty to come yet.
As you can see many things possible with just xposed.

I tryed it for one's on the viper Rom ,no go ply a notification yellow ,so I try it on a stock Rom this week

Of course you can, but just dont have them both enabled, may conflict
