HELP need services.jar. No sim card it says. - T-Mobile LG G2x

I tried restoring a clockwork backup but no dice and now Im screwed. Cant get it to connect to data or phone service. I was on weapong2x while trying out faux stock kernel and thought I try the Unthrottled data hack. Since its all similiar to stock. Used Root explorer, no dice. My is working otherwise after I fixed it from a boot loop but i cant surf or make calls. Can someone upload a services.jar?

Do you mean flash stock recovery or what, I am confused. I flashed a couple different roms to fix it.
Or is this more like the time i tried upgrading to lg's gingerbread rom and i had to use an xp computer and some strange lg program and apx to fix it?
Can someone just post the services.jar file for stock?

Im sorry, for bumping but i cant leave something and come back, cant seem to fix it no matter what i do. can anyone help me by uploading their stock services.jar file? Or can someone give some directions? Ive been playing with this the last two days and want to fix it. Wasting my days off.....

EDIT It didnt work right after i changed the services.jar file. Just needed a sim pull and I put it back in, and came back to me. I feel dumb.

Strange situation trying to restore to fully stock

I have an epic running on verizon...all was well, other than to get data working, i would need to try and send an mms after every reboot. This has something to do with the rom and hands free activation. So being the dumba......err perfectionist i am, i tried messing with the hands free activation in the /data/data area. well low and behold i lost the phone getting a radio signal....ugh. So i did a full restore using odin, and redid everything in qpst....BUT....odin never restored the hands free activation part of the rom! I tried multiple times....am i missing something? Are there any other files i could try?

Do you know what files you're missing? When you restored with Odin, I assume you used the stock sprint rom, is that what you were running before? Did you alter your ESN at all? Running ACS' rom, My /data/ folder is empty If you need anything I'll be happy to up it to you.
I don't think that even matters since flashing stock with Odin is supposed to format /data. If not, flash the full stock .tar again, and format /data manually before you try to boot.

[Q] Cloning a Phone configuration

I have recently started dabbling with rooting my phone and guess what- I LOVE IT!...I have been having so much fun getting the phone streamlined without the unnecessary apps and getting a faster response from the phone, that I want to do it for my wife's phone as well. She has the same HTC Hero and has been complaining of the poor response of her phone for a while. I want to clone my phone on her phone while I keep playing with the configurations and improvements on my phone. Is there a way to migrate all the changes I have done on mine into her phone seamlessly? I was thinking of some sort of nandroid backup made on mine, being used on hers- (I am a noob, so play nicely )
As far as I know, although I've never tested it...
If you root her phone and put the same recovery image on her phone (albeit Clockwork, Amon_Ra, or Darch) then it SHOULD successfully restore a nandroid image made on your phone. It might be easiest to just pop your sdcard into her phone when you restore your nandroid, that way you take no chances on the files being corrupted in the process.
The only problem I see with this is that if you restore a rom onto another phone, you'll in turn have to delete your sync data afterwards and then redo the setup with her gmail, etc etc.
Hope this helps and good luck! Glad you're enjoying your phone!
Doesnt work, I tried to use a nandroid of Fresh 2.4 from my wifes phone so I could update PRL and I kept getting errors
Both are HTC Hero's
It did boot up and all, but data and all that was messed up, maybe if he edited the build prop to match her phone?

Perhaps. But I wouldn't think so. If that was the case wouldn't you have to manually edit them everytime you flashed? I thought that data was kept on a separate partition... am I wrong?

No clue as to why it didnt work for me but it didnt...
When I had my phone replaced, I saved the nandroid from my original phone, used the same SD card, and had "my" phone back up and running in no time.
This shouldn't be an issue really.
My only question is, why not have the wife pick her ROM, theme, apps, customizations for herself?

I think the key word is "my" The nandroid I took from my wifes Hero worked for her phone. I had nandroided back and did a PRL update on her phone. I took that same file and placed it on my Hero and did the nandroid, it booted and everything Excited I went to update PRL and tried but kept getting a error. I tried to update profile and would get the same error.
Why?
Can it work if it got edited?
I dont know, I think it builds something on first boot that takes your info (cant remember what its called) and when trying to connect it needs that info. If it doesnt match what the ROM is telling the network thats where the errors come from, atleast I think, lol.
Try it, maybe it just didnt work for me.
I agree with riggsandroid though, flash her a clean install and let her pick and choose what she wants
Why not just use titanium backup on one, then restore it on the other? Unless I'm misunderstanding the problem.

[Q] reboot loop

My g2x keeps rebooting over and over again! This happened after i mounted it to my pc. it tries to read my sd card then just reboots over and over again. I have nv flash and tried to restore old back up but still does it. can any one help im thinking i need to flash stock.
you need to do a factory reset if your nandroid backup doesn't work. if that doesn't work reflash the rom.
I already did a factory reset and wipe and tried to re install the rom. it just continues to reboot. It starts up and if quick i can get into my lock screen and access things but within seconds it reboots and continues to do that
What rom are you using?

I was on a stock rooted rom when the problem happened. so i then i did a restore. when that didnt work i reflashed the stock rom that was posted on forum. i think it has something to do with my internal memory which i cannot access. this all happened when i was trying to back up my sd card while in usb and it just got an error when i unplugged it enless reboot.

I was hoping it was something simple like undervolting with a custom rom. I wish I could help. It sounds like you tried everything I would recomend. Maybe one of the real Android techie type guys can help you. I am still learning myself.

Text and Calls not working after switching roms

I installed beanstown rom in clockwork recovery and everything was working fine. I then decided to try the latest synergy rom and everything worked great as well untill I realized that I could no longer respond to text messages. I did flash the text message bug fixer in clockwork ahead of time. I also noticed that I couldn't make any phone calls. I then restored my previous backup with beanstown rom and problem carried over.
Any ideas?

Go into your system settings ---> About Device ---> Status, and see if your IMEI number is a 0 or a whole bunch of numbers.

Odin back to stock unrooted, and see if that fixes your issue
Im downloading it now. I am away from home and using a slow hotel internet. This phone has some very large files compared to my old Droid X. I got about 40 mins to go on my download and in the meantime keep trying everything possible and trying to find someone else that had a similar issue.

And The stupid hotel internet keeps cutting off my internet so I have to start the download over again. Anybody have a working torrent for a odin back to stock file?

Okay so used odin with back to stock unrooted file and after it came up I could make a call but data was stuck at 1x with no 3g. I wiped data/factory reset and now I am not getting data, phone or text to work.
I have since tried to reseat the sim card and rebooted numerous times.
Anything else that might work? I can't find anyone else that had a similar problem online and am now thinking I gotta take my phone to the verizon store tomorrow and possibly get a new sim card.

Help Needed. Cannot restore backup in CWM

So here's the deal, I'm trying to restore my stock rooted 2.3.4 GB ROM. Eaglesblood is cool and all, but as of yesterday it started doing a bunch of sketchy stuff. I can't even connect to my t-mobile wireless network anymore. Just doesn't work. I also need wi-fi calling and video recording, so it's time for me to leave ICS (after a week or so lol). So I did a full wipe, formatted the system, cache and data. Went to backup/restore chose restore and chose the backup I made the very first day that I rooted my phone. It starts checking the MD5 sums....after about a minute I get an error saying "MD5 SUM MISMATCH." How do I fix this? I'm trapped in ICS and want back to GB please someone help free me. So after all of that I had no choice but to reflash eaglesblood and now I'm at where I started.
There's an option in cwm under advanced to toggle off md5 check, I think. That may work. But if the md5 is different than before it means something changed in your backup so it may not work.
If you're transferring stuff over usb a lot it gets messed up, I always have issues with that. I use airdroid to transfer files between pc and phone.
You gotta be kidding me......I transferred the back up to my PC to save room on my phone. I put it back into my phone yesterday because I knew I was probably going to use it today. So you're telling me there is no way for me to get back to my 2.3.4 stock rooted ROM because I transferred the file over a USB cable?

Just flash Burom or kewes 2.3.4 rooted stock.
Ive had issues with backups getting corrupted with CWM, not sure why, and has never happened with TWRP.

I've tried searching for kewes' rooted 2.3.4 stock rom but can't find it. Got a link? I need to get off ICS...
I don't get it...this ROM was working GREAT the first week I had it. I was warned about all the errors that ICS/JB roms have on this device but during the first week of application I thought everybody was nuts......now everything screwed more than ever. I've always wanted to try hellfire CM7...might just flash that instead what the hell

Thanks for those man. As an afterthought, idk if this means anything but I realized that my Emmc folder was mounted, which contains the backups in cwm. Cwm under the SD card did not contain a backup file. Could this be an issue? I discovered this using file manager
