I live in Houston Texas and I would like to make a trade if there is anyone local. If not maybe we can work something out.
LOL!!!!
Good luck with that....
The same reason you WANT someone to trade you is the reason why NOBODY is GOING TO. Your phone is INFERIOR.
You might want to try your luck in the HTC VISION forum, it would at least be a FAIR TRADE (hardware wise, but software wise, the VISION is FAR superior... at least for now).
Agreed the Doubleshot rocks.

What? No I had the sensation and was willing to trade. But sold it on ebay for 400 dineros.
The myTouch 4G Slide does indeed rock but for some reason the Sensation fetches a higher price. That does mean that I got the MT4GS for super cheap though, and no contract.

I actually just did the opposite..well..sort of. I sold my Nexus S for $450 and bought a MyTouch 4G for $350..it seems the Nexus has a higher resale value than the MyTouch, so if you can get an even swap from your MyTouch to the Nexus, it's a good deal. I personally wouldn't switch back, myself..but that's just me
I did the same, but now Im back to the mytouch 4g... If you have a "bad" panel I say make the trade, nexus s wasn't too bad to play with for a few weeks. Battery life wasn't good at all for me ... mytouch 4g is solid, plus rom development wasn't there. May have a few more roms now, feel of nexus s isn't that bad, screen is nice and thats probably the only good thing it has going for it. I would recommend trading for a vibrant 4g instead of the nexus s
I would say no. Mytouch has a flash and optical track bad a better build quality IMO. Also more baseband RAM and I just don't personally like the way the SAMOLEDs look. They all have this weird blue hue to everything. Oh and no HSPA+.
Nope don't do it personally I love the mytouch I got it the day it came out and haven't had a problem with it the mytouch is a solid phone it feels great in my hands the phone is just great all around

Last I checked the Nexus S had a flash...
No HSPA+ was a deal breaker for me, but if you're in an area where it doesn't matter then it's fine.
I'm wondering the same thing, question is - How much to sell the 4G for and what price to except the Samsung for.

Funny. I totally did the same thing, too. Sold the Nexus S for $380 on craigslist and picked up the black myTouch. Worth it.
Me too i returned my Nexus S and i got myTouch, it's really a good phone. nexus s just screen but it's crap, HTC THE BEST EVER
Alright sounds good..the Guy didn't want to trade just because I had a 4gb card instead of 8...so I was like whatever..

As a former Vibrant owner all I have to say is this:
Samsung would have to make their next phone out of solid gold and give it to me for free!! Vanilla android and that spiffy screen are the only things it does better than the MT4G.
Anyone think its worth selling the sensation and paying a little bit more of money to "upgrade" to the amaze?
Other than the HSPA+, are there any other major differences?
Sent from my HTC Sensation XE
Well its has more ram...the screen looks much better, better camera and no its not just the software its a better sensor and lens. The build feels nicer and it also has the dedicated camera, video buttons. And a larger battery .Is it enough for you to upgrade to...that's all up to you...if you want those extra features then yes.

not that big of a difference..both phones do the same thing..

If I get a good price for the Sensation I'm going to go for it, can't hurt

Today I went to three tmobile store and two of them didn't had it yet but one on them did, the rep was playing with it, I asked him about it and he let me play with it and I honestly didn't any speed or anything. To me felt like a Sensation plus the camera buttons/lens. Speed wise felt just the same.
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using XDA App
Checked it out at the Tmobile store today. I was thinking of giving my wife my Sensation and upgrading to it. While it is a nice looking phone, I was somewhat underwhelmed. Firstly, it could not get a data connection, despite showing 3 bars. My Sensation got a better connection. One of the mains reasons I wanted to upgrade was due to the faster network speeds and here I couldn't even test it out. The camera is nice and took fast pictures in the continuous mode. Still on the fence about it and I am not sure what kind of development it will get and how long it will take to get root.

I'd say that you might want to wait at least 1 month before buying it.
Prime will most likely be out by then and Galaxy S2 as well, So you will have 3 phones to compare and decide.
This thread might seem unnecessary but I'm making it anyway.
I recently acquired a sensation and it had the touchscreen lockup issue that had to be solved by returning it to HTC. Ofcoursre HTC had to be a **** and charge me 160 to fix the ****ty phone saying warranty seal was broken. So simple. I went with it. Haven't gotten it back yet.
Whatever the point is this mytouch 4g has served me the longest without any issues whatsoever for the past 6 months. I dropped this phone on the subway six times now without any noticeable damage and I don't use a case. The build quality is exceptional and I can't thank HTC enough to design the metal ring around the screen.
I'm grateful to this community and HTC. But this sensation will be the last HTC I own. And this mytouch 4g, I'm never gonna sell it. Ever. Its the best phone I ever had. People who has problems usually speak up like this so I thought this would be a nice addition.

I adore my MyTouch 4g. This is my first Android phone and I've compared to many other models that I have seen and continue to. I have to say that I have yet to find another phone that I would hands down say is superior. The cpu is amazing. The amount of RAM is more than I have ever needed. The size of the phone is perfect for me. And development has been phenomenal.
Are the front and rear cameras off center? You bet. Does that affect their operation or in any way slow this beast down? Nope.

I have a chance to trade my 6 month old sensation with extra back cover and battery for a BNIB mt4g slide. Should I do it?
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using XDA App
My girlfriend has the slide. It's pretty much the same hardware as the senny. It's heavy. If you like a keyboard and don't care about dev support go for it.
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using xda premium
I had a mt4g slide and traded it for a new sensation. no regrets whatsoever
Take a look at the MT4GS development boards. The devs for that phone are really trying, but honestly there isn't a whole lot going on over there.
So if you want to stay relatively stock and want the hardware keyboard... I say go for it.
sensation it an awesome phone i suggest you keep it. unless you are eager about the keyboard, sensation is a better phone.
I would say keep the Sensation
*It has a higher resolution screen
*It has a bigger screen
*ICS is just around the corner. Who knows when the slide might get it and T-Mobile takes a long time to push out updates.
i have both, the sensation has better screen,desing,etc..but the MT4GS has better signal reception, better camera and battery life.
i do prefer the sensation...its up to you.
sorry my english
Now that ICS is available for both the Sensation and the Amaze I'm wondering if its worth it to pay the extra $200+ for an Amaze? I can buy a used Sensation for less than $100, but the Amaze is still upwards of $300.
What I'm mostly looking for is a good camera to be my day to day point and shooter. Is the Sensation's camera good enough?
The HSPA+ on the Amaze is very tempting, but is it a considerable speed boost?
Gazelle.com buys the Sensation used for $140 so if you can get one cheaper then that its a deal.
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using xda premium
I found a used Sensation down the street from me on craigslist for $75. I'm not sure about the condition, but it should be fine. I'd just like to have the nicer camera of the Amaze.
wtf? where the hell do you live? hope the screen/digitizer is ok and imei is not blacklisted.
in my neck of the woods, sensations go for 250 on average (~240-300), and amazes are 300 on the low end (300-400).
big selling point for the amaze is hspa+ 42 if that's of importance to you. sensation is hspa 14, which gets around 2-7mbps real world.
I've never played with an amaze in person, but I hear the physical size of the sensation is better.
I'm in Virginia. There's one used Sensation for $75 on cl and another used for $150.
Jesus buy both of them if they're legit. Tell on forums or eBay. Profit and buy the amaze

And I live in va on cl HTC amaze goes for 275-350 highest but beware the HTC amaze has allot of flaws from what my friend has told me one is GPS IS POOR death grip and the phone tends to over heat under heavy use.
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G
Have a friend with an Amaze -- he has no problems with it, but a lot of white light comes in the bottom of the screen, and the glass sticks up higher than the frame, which kinda sucks if you dont use a case
Overall, its very similar to a Sensation -- perhaps the camera is a bit better

I have an SGS 2 that is hspa+ 42 and I consistently get over 20 mbps download speeds compared to the Wife's Sensation 4G which is the hspa+ 14 which sees about 10 mbps on the average. So that's a major point to make between the Sensation and the Amaze...
But we live in east Seminole county in FL so obviously speeds will vary ...
Sent from my SGH-T989 using XDA
A difference of $200 is probably not worth it unless you absolutely need the higher speed internet.
Maybe if the difference falls to $75-100.
just my opinion
You probably won't even realize the speed difference between the two. Especially if you live in a congested city or town. I'd say the Sensation looks better than the Amaze.
Not to mention, there's a mod in the dev forum that allows u to flash the amaze cam on the senny..more development on the senny, sense 4 on the senny..im already amazed with my sensation lol...just my 2 cents...
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using Xparent Blue Tapatalk 2
Get the sensation. My wife has the amaze and the dev is awful. Sensation still has awesome dev going on. I haven't even rooted her phone because I can't without voiding the warranty. (She's accident prone). The amaze has a better camera and dl speed but in the real world we both use wifi so it doesn't matter. The dev on the sensation is keeping it in the top 5 phones out still.
Sent from my HTC Sensation using xda premium
I believe the Amaze has wirse battery life, so I'd get the Sensation.
You can upgrade from the stock 1520MaH battery to a 1730MaH model from the Sensation XE.
Sent from my SGH-T959 using Tapatalk 2
Dev is not extremely important to me. I'd rather just let the phone be and not worry about tinkering with different roms. As for the battery I was looking at a 1900 MaH on Amazon that apparently really helps the Amaze. I do like the Sensation, but I'm having a hard time finding one for a reasonable price. $300 for an Amaze is very tempting.
Thanks for all the feedback folks!

LOL yea
the amaze might get more dev with ICS soon but it will never be anything like the sensation. the pros dont outweigh the cons for me
pros being wide-angle camera lens, louder speaker, and of course, more ram..
i dont see any other real upgrade.. maybe the deathgrip thing we have but apparently they have it too. this generation of HTC devices had a lot of manufacturing defects i guess
amaze build quality is amazing
The Amaze is very sturdy, by far has a superior built quality than the Sensation.
The camera is great and has bands that support extremely fast download speeds.
