After i updated my Samsung with kies .. it keeps giving me this error
The application device management (process com.wssyncmldm) has stopped unexpectedly.

Is this an error you continually encounter or did it show up once and hasn't since? I know that on my phone, probably because of not doing clean and proper wiping/formating/permissions between flashes, I encounter application errors that I need to force close from time to time. But these applications still work just fine 95% or more of the time.
Its continuous... I've never flashed.. Just rooted and updated with mini kies for more memory... Was fine when first rooted... Problem came after kies update
I pretty much can't run any app with out it booting me out after five minutes

flash the bali kernel on your stock kd1 rom using odin. then go into cwm and clear caches and fix permissions
One thing... I nubishly did the clockwork recovery thing with rom manager befor knowing it dosnt work... Are there any steps I should take befor flashing

i know you did. i read your other thread. do yourself a favor and make sure you tell us everything about the problem next time. it was probably rom manager that contributed to the problem.
and no, just odin to a stock rom and start from there. make sure you follow directions on the op and if you have any questions, search first and then ask.

I wouldn't use kies at all. It is not needed. Use Odin to flash Bali and you should be good

I made the edits for this to use on EC01 mesmerize.

OK... So, let me get this straight... This is what I need to do to flash this:
1. Disable Voodoo
2. Flash the stock Mesmerize EC10 image
3. Flash the EC01 radio using Odin (Flash it to where? PDA? Phone?)
4. Flash the Evil 3.3 rom
I feel like there's something missing here, or is there a kernel built-in?
Flash the radio to pda in ODIN.

Go to settings>applications. Choose app that is FC, and clear data. Email and keyboard need to have this done or they willcontinuously force close.
The original thread explains this. Also there is another update out. I'm probably not going to be able to fix it till next weekend. If anyone wants it let me know and I will try to do it sooner.

Go to > settings> applications > manage applications. Select all apps tab. Find app that is force closing. Select it and then clear data. One this is done it should stop force closing. Email and keyboard did it to me. Cleared data and no more problems.

I flashed this but I'm stuck in a boot loop and when I have gotten it to boot it constantly force closes different apps... Do I need to flash a kernel or is one included? I think that's where I'm stuck.

You need to wipe data before flashing. Backup your apps first tho what kernel are you using?

All I did was flash ComRom first and then flashed Evil on top of it... It was easier for me.
First off let me apologize if someone else started a thread similar to this..
Anyways.. Lately all my apps have gone missing every time i turn my phone off, it doesnt matter if they are third partie apps or market apps they just all gone by the time it boots back up.. even my launcher. No apps in particular..
Has anyone else had this issuem
If so please help its to annoying..
And yes ive cleared cache & dalvik & fixed permissions but nothing works..

move from sd to phone. reboot. uninstall updates from market. reboot. open market again (i would recommend taking this opportunity to getting the newest market app) and then move your apps (i would recommend link2sd)

Try A factorry reset then advance restor them back if you have a backup and see if that helps. Or just factory reset and restore a couple from the market and reboot to see if the problem persists.

agreed. if you restored from TB, then that is your problem right there. always restore from cwm.
What ROM and kernel are you on? I had that problem with kg6 and Dr.honks kg4 kernel. If you are let me know I might have an idea of what's going on.

@ GDofWR420 Tried that.. i have a back up from the original stock rom that came with the phone.. i tried it and once i flash a rom and i test it again it go's back to the same thing... Thanks though...

@ farwek well right now im on desexton KG6 but see it doesnt matter which one im on.. i thought it had to the with the kernel and or rom but ive gone back to froyo and the same thing happens... and ive tried ALL the roms in the SGS4G community but it still messes up..
I had this issue on KG6.. From what I've read, I think it has to do with having voodoo enabled on a previous ROM that left an ext4 partition on your SD card. so there may be an old partition still on the SD that wasn't removed properly.
I think you are going to have to back up your SD, do a complete format (or use minitool to remove the partitions), and reflash your phone from stock. I know it's been discussed in the dev section, maybe someone can chime in.

here's the newest guide for converting the partitions for GB. He does mention the disappearing apps problem:

Try this. Odin kg4 leak after that Odin kg6 leak but add the csc file from the kg4. Then use the fugu mod found with the kg4 leak to gain root. After that flash drhonks kernel but font mess with voodoo yet. Update the superuser apk through the market and grab busybox installer to and install busybox. Once you have done that open superuser and you should get a prompt to update su binary update it and boot into recovery and give the ext4 conversion a go. Hope this helps and ill keep checking in on ya till you get it.

Dont lose hope. It is possible to get it all stable just tricky getting it done. The steps I posted above worked twice for me and linda converted on the first try both time. Oh yea and at the end when you enable voodoo font check your mounts just reboot.

Excuse Me!?,
TB is the best root app ever invented. I have used it since its debut, On my HTC DREAM. By the way, I always restore my apps using TB. To fix the problem, Install all your apps via market, open TB, backup all apps. Do Data/Factory Reset, reinstall TB, all is well.
So I had GB bootloaders and 2.3.4 installed on it. I was browsing through the forum and really liked Raver's Redux rom, but totally blacked out i have to change bootloaders back to Froyo ( still no idea how to ). So my phone got into a bootloop. The problem is, i tried to flash the phone back to GB rom, and was doing it using ODIN, and brother plucked the usb cable off during the flashing process. Now everytime i try to turn it on, it has a yellow triangle that says" Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. PLease select recovery mode in KIes and try again. " Tried Kies, no use. The same screen appears when i try to get into a download mode, tried usb jig . same screen. WHat should i do from here? i am out of ideas.
OK, i flashed Stock GB rom with Odin, even the dwld mode didn't appear on phone screen, but ODIN read it and i got a connection in with it. Now its on a bootloop again. It goes into the recovery menu (3e). Says E:Failed to mount /data (INvalid Argument). What should i do from here??? THanks
NVM , I got it working now But i still want that Redux rom My question is : how do i get back to Froyo Bootloaders? A specific instruction would be really helpful, what to tick and not on ODIN , etc... Thanks
Flash kd1 or Odin ravers kc1 with all 4 files. You'll have the froyo bootloaders. There at guides out there if you search. I'm in my phone, so I can't link then. Sorry.if you have trouble, let me know and I'll walk you through it

Yeah, i tried that rom already. I felt like the battery life on it was not that good so I decided to go back to Froyo's since it was there a long time and has *Solid* roms than GB right now... ( from my understanding and im a newb too lol)

I rooted my gf phone and flashed a new rom. Now I am trying to go back to stock but CWM won't mount her SD card and USB storage and WIFI won't work! Anyone out there know what is going on? I know about the file you have to delete on .android_secure but I can find it even on a computer!

Mmm, many questions...
Do you try full wipe/factory reset before installing new room?
Are you using a kustom kernel? If yes, try to reflash it. Customs kernels also includes CWM Recovery.

Well. This is the first custom room you installed? If not, probably is a room bug, or the compatibility with your phone is not 100% funtionally.
If yes, perhaps the root is not correct. Why you dont try to re-root your phone?
Or try with another room and tested.
If still not working, dont worry, we will solve it!

I'm curious what ROM you are using? Go to settings - about phone and it will tell you the name.

I have rooted phones and installed roms but this is the first time I work on this phone. I rooted it a while back and barely flashed a rom on it. I pressed the recommended setting on it not custom.

As Jigglynuts mentioned previously, go grab bhundven's one-click from the development section. The 3rd one listed in that post is KJ6 (GB), has CWM & it's rooted. All you need to run it is to have Java installed on your machine.

i got this phone yesterday and i'm not new to android or custom roms. but i derped pretty hard and stopped at step 7b of this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1223765
and it would mount the sd card, but i noticed i didn't finish so i did the other steps and i've been able to flash roms, this program can also return you to stock i believe (some one else should confirm, or you can read about it in the wiki)
so if nothing else works you should try it.

Why am I the only one who's made sacrifice! My girlfriend just broke up with me yesterday and you guys immediately had the official update! And when I tried to follow the instructions on http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1749021&highlight=kies so I can fix my broken heart a little bit the damn kies kept showing me this "your model number cannot be verified" crap. Any idea??
Check SN and don't put S/N with number model you need to put w/o quotes " SGH-I727"

I think that's the route I'm going to take. Currently downloading Kies at ~10 KB/sec from Samsung. I'm not patient enough to wait.
I've also had zero luck using Odin from a Windows 7 VM on my macbook. The only thing that has worked via ODIN has been flashing CWM. I soft bricked my phone with Odin a month ago and took days to figure out how to fix (I blame myself for being a noob with android tho).
