Ok guys... It's getting a bit messy in here... Why don't You ask this question in Virtuos Unity Rom thread? I dig this whole friendly atmosphere and stuff, but c'mon... This section needs some more agressive moderation.
You are better off updating using your computer anyway, less chance for anything to go wrong.
Yeah... I have noticed the last few days people are posting in the wrong sections! Come on guys!

Thanks for the explanation. So any of you know why this rom is not supported? In rom manager i can see only 1.39.1 version...

Spent a lot of time reading these forums before I acted upon what I learned, and it payed off!
I wanted to try out a ROM, so I went with CM7, followed the FAQ in the developers section and 20 minutes later I had flashed CWR 3.x, installed build 26 of CM7, installed gapps, and was up and running. I have a nandroid of my stock build on my PC so I can always revert, and feel like a pro without actually being one. I even set up adb on my PC even though I never used it. Can't say enough about the wealth of information in these forums. While I ventured into random threads for my own amusement, all of the pertinent information was available in stickies, just as it should be. Can't thank everyone enough for their hard work and enthusiasm.

Me and you have a very similar situation, I've done all these things and I'm running CM7 build 27, I have nothing but thanks for the fine folks at XDA

1) the file size is 359.34MB, so it could very well be real.

lol now i never said i was a dev... i am new at this still i have made some for my g2 but never did the mytouch4g now i dont know if it will work for you all...
i can't open it in dev section dont have enough posts... go figure..

Ok well I tried it...when installing it gets just past the three quarter install mark then automatically reboots the phone...that's y u can't get past the beginig screen it never finishes install.hope u can fix this.....

If you need Sense 3.5 Rom, then try BeatMod BlissSense v1.6

Hi, dont know if this has been asked before, but it's there a way to somehow install another kernel (maybe overclocked) instead of the current kernel? And I like the HTC camera present in Sense ROMs instead of the camera in MIUI (my current ROM) or in Cyanogen ROMs. Can I install the HTC camera over my current one?

Just flash it in recovery like a ROM. Be sure to wipe cache and salvia prior to flashing.

The search button is yours and everyones friend. I can say never once did I started a new thread asking a question that's already been asked. Actually the only thread I've ever started was one thanking the devs and the people making guides on how to do anything with this phone. This is my 1st android and I've flashed a few ROMs and kernels in the few months Ive had it cause of the info I found here. And I've never had any problems. All the info you'll ever need(and some you dont) is on XDA. And if after a relentless search for your question leads to nothing, then by all means ask away. Not tryin to hate, just stating facts

InsetCoin will stay my ROM. following them too
he got a discussion with other developer and some mods and he preferred to leave XDA because of his principles, moral, and dignity, and i respect his decision and will keep an eye in his new home
so sad that this kind of things happen here in XDA which was made to help to each other

Yes. Pull it out from the RUU .exe file yourself or download it from the thread

2. Why my "network provided time zone" is GMT+3, if I'm in Romania (GMT+2)? OK, I changed manually, but ... why?

1) not on Sense, so can't check, but go to calendar settings, and there is am option to change the first day of the week.
2)reboot the phone or try changing sim card

I installed the rom and its quite nice - but there are two main problems, which i can't manage to solve on my own. ..
1. After disabling the spelling correction, it should be off - but in some apps, like trillian, its still activated. Didn't have that problem on 2.3
2. Same for vibrate feedback. Turned it off - but it's still on while typing in my apps.
Thats annoying while chatting ~_~

I have a question regarding the update. I have a stock Desire S that is network locked on Orange. Do it need to unlock before the update, or should I proceed as normal?

Turn off your phone, battery out, then put it back in, press the volume down button while pressing the power button at the same time, it will say on there somewhere s-on or s-off
