Dlev ROM - Samsung Infuse 4G

Just wanted to say for the people looking for a new rom that dlev just got released today and its the fastest I've used yet.. it looks nice and I'm testing battery soon so ill keep you posted.
INFUSE 1.6 OC

Its very fast, GPS seems to not be locking, I've tried installing ruxkg3 modem, seems to work good, still no GPS
Also Swype needs to be wiped and reinstalled to get it to work. Coming off infused I went from 2400 to 3500 quadrant for what its worth, phone just feels faster. Anyone have any ideas for GPS?
Shane

Yes it feels way faster than infused to me though I love the both of them and it prolly helps that dlev comes with acidtweaks so yeah. I'm trying to learn most of the stuff and fixes for problems.. lol I haven't tried GPS yet. Will there be a fix for the first phone call or is that just a downside for hellraiser?
INFUSE 1.6 OC

Well with heavy usage including a lot of YouTube, Bluetooth my music in my car, texting all day, and just browsing the web I got out 12hrs with 8% left..
INFUSE 1.6 OC

Love this ROM and the Dev responds quick and is making every effort to solve all bugs out

Exactly why I'm deciding on staying with this rom until official GB

Did you guys manage to get the "1st call after boot = no audio" problem? I had to toggle on/off the speakerphone button every single call... I changed ROMs 'cause it was a bit of a hassle trying to quickly answer a call, then realizing I had to turn on/off the speaker option (my friends and family get angry if you don't answer within the first second of picking up the phone lol)

You should only have to toggle speaker after boots and only on first call, after that you should be fine.
Hellraisers Known Issues:
First phone call after a boot will not have sound. Any calls after that are fine. Toggling speakerphone mode seems to fix this immediately.
Using the Market may make data drop if you are not on Wifi. Simply toggling Airplane Mode, and back again will bring data back.

Battery Life test
This ROM has been excellent.
So I did a test trying minimal phone use and manually managing wifi/data. I uninstalled my power/data management app. My phone was on the whole time, maybe a reboot here and there, never powered off, and ran it till it died. I only turned on wifi/data when i needed it and here was the result:

Other than those listed above, is anyone else have an issue of not being able to power on the phone if the charger is plugged in?

Flashed last night to CDMA Energy Rom from PPC Geeks - Impressions

1) Incoming texts seem to come in stuck to my phone numbers time zone... which is EST, I currently reside in PST. (I've tried to reset this a couple ways...nothin seems to stick).
2) Going to the Settings tab and hitting "Other Misc. settings" Locks up the phone completely. Every time. Have to take the batt cover off and use the reset button (power button doesn't work).
3) While I know landscape mode is buggy, it does work fine in text messages, but doesn't auto-rotate to landscape. So when you go to send a text message you have to be in portrait mode, THEN open the keyboard for it to switch to landscape. (if you've got the keyboard open when you go to send a text, it will remain in portrait mode with the keyboard open).
4) Can't seem to send MMS. Haven't tried receiving. There's a fix supposedly, I have installed the .cab, doesn't seem to be working though.
Will keep posting as I notice more. I'm running the stable build (21864 i think).
how do u activate on sprint...
i cannot get the MSL menu to pop up?????
my phone will not activate tehy are telling me to take into a repair center when i knw i need to get into the MSL menu (but i cannot!!!!)
is there a special code or a special way to do that? or do i need to flash to regular rom.. activate, then flash back?? wtf???
also the settings thing does lock up );
21864 is actually the stable version, so try installing that. I have not gotten my TP2 so I can't test it yet.
Woops. That's the one I'm running. I dunno why I said that other number.
your phone has to be programmed b4 you unlock the security..meaning you have to install factory sprint rom in order for msl to work.....
my last post was for ambush276
Just my $.02, but my experience with energy was not that wonderful, Lots of freeze ups and laggyness. MROM is working with great stability and better battery life than my stock verizon which was very good on battery. I'll be stickin' with it for awhile , although I'm not that amazed by 6.5 anyway. May end up going back to 6.1, much prefer that start menu
I ran a bunch of roms since the unlocker. I was left with 2 Mighty and Energy. I have been running energy all day. All problems except MMS have been resolved at this point and I am very happy with it so far. Tomarrow I am going to run Mighty but from what I saw on PPC it has some issues.
hey if anyone screws off thier prl flashing etc, the sprint touch pro 2 prl is the evdo, triangle roaming to get back to *2 calling sprint rather than say metropcs - took for ever, tried the 21xxx series, it was h e double hockey sticks
EnergyROM_21864... with Dark_Theme_V5.1_WM_6.5_Custom_rom__New_2.1_TF3D... all is working great for me...

im on MighteyMikes and I have to say it is running great. Real Nice and smooth on my Sprint Touch Pro 2. I just which NFSFAN makes the jump over here since I love his roms. I think he makes the best roms for cdma period.

[Q] <DC CONNECT> IO error: msg='/127.0.01:7771 - Connection refused

In the new OTA leaked ROM base, v3.28.651.6, this seems to be happening to many people, including myself.
<DC CONNECT> IO error: msg='/127.0.01:7771 - Connection refused
This happens after turing 4G on and then turning it off. You can see this error in logcat. and it repeats endlessly!
Does anyone know why or have a solution to this?
It has also been reported HERE.
4G works fine, it doesn't break 4G, it's just some stupid looping error.
its not just the new rom, it happened on 2.1 and 2.2 ota's.
It has been concluded that this is normal behavior, since the early builds. Apparently, that's how wimax works on the evo

That's pretty lame coding on HTC's part then. Why have something that is turned of try to reconnect infinitely to something. That has to waste resources.
It happened to me yesterday but when I rebooted I could connect and stay on 4g. Weird.
In regards to the effect of this on battery life

9pm - 4g Turned on, then off.
9-~12: screen always on, multiple reboots (4g turned on/off after each reboot)
~12pm - screen off the rest of the night (while in the error state)
The results to me look like any other day under the same usage conditions. To me, at most this is an annoyance when trying to logcat for something unrelated, but doesn't seem to affect battery like people have been posting in multiple forums.

I agree, I am at work for 14 hours a day and I come home with 35-40% battery left. Prior to this new leaked OTA ROM base, I came home with 5-10%. I use the same phone the same way, so regardless of this weird arror, battery life is still good.
Like the guy in the post that you linked to on the Sprint forum says, seems to go away if you Turn off 4G and then completely power down (Hold power button, and choose Power Off). A reboot doesn't fix it, has to be complete power down.
Agreed, it's a silly leftover, I usually just use some sort of a tail-like application, and just filter those out if i need to do logcat.
It's the 4G radio that causes major battery drain, not the repeated log messages anyway

Anyone have a Nexus S that's still restarting on it's own?

After the 2.3.2 update, I thought everything was fine. Guess not.
Phone restarted in the middle of a phone call. What the dilly yo
I manually updated to 2.3.2, but never did faced your problem.
I heard some did but before 2.3.2, as I think it shouldve been resolved by it.
Backup and softreset and see, recovery or so.
Happened to me yesterday. Oddly enough, this was the first time it happened, and was AFTER I installed the 2.3.2 update.
This is discussed in other threads already...
The 2.3.2 update does not address the random reboots, or the reboots during calls. Google is still working on a fix for that specific problem.
The problem seems to be really random overall...some people have it frequently, others not all, some rarely. I've only had it twice, and both times only while on 2.3.1.
If you search the forum here, you'll find a thread or two with links to the Google Help Forum topic where romainguy from Google talks about the problem.
EDIT: Apparently they've found the fix, according to this post: http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/Google+Mobile/thread?tid=1b777a366748b64f&start=194
Expect an OTA in a couple of weeks.
i had it only twice
but that was because i was overloading the poor thing, with trying to do too many things simultaneously
and when it can't cope with how fast i click around stuff, and how many apps i launch and use all at the same time, it just reboots
it's not hard to reproduce
just go like a maniac and start launching apps left and right, and pull up info, make a call, send SMS, browse the web, download stuff, etc, etc
and it'll reboot as soon as it hangs
it's like a SUPER Force Close

LOL!
I'm pretty sure my two reboots weren't under such extreme circumstances...phone just sitting idle for a while, got a phone call, call reboots 5-15 minutes into the middle of the call.
Even so, your experience makes me wonder if just tweaking the memory management on the phone with something like AutoKiller app might help those who are having the issue more often than others. (Note that autokiller is NOT a task killer, it's poorly named. It's a way to tweak the minfree settings on the phone and let the Android built-in system still handle what's killed or not.)

ok... if that's the case, no, i've yet to see the phone reboot on its own
i've had some 30ish min calls and no reboot
P.S. this issue is covered in another topic tagged as [BUG] http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=880497
please continue on the original topic, thx

[Q] A2DP???

I have not yet been able to find out if anyone has working a2dp on their g2x. I tried to search the forums and the only thing I can find is people complaining about having issues with it. The guide for the phone on LG's website says that the phone supports it. I have tried several ROMs and none so far have allowed media volume in the bluetooth settings. I have also tried apps like super bt mono and was unsuccessful. Is there anyone out there that has working a2dp, and if so did you have to do anything special to make it work?
It works for me, but sometimes it doesn't. Try re-pairing your headset or restarting your phone.

I have, and flashed at least 5 roms to try it (if you count different CM nightlies as different roms)
the same headset does however work on my wife's MT4G with CM7 on it.
running stock here and it works... but sometimes the signal will cut out. so it works.. just not perfectly... starting to miss my G2 in that regard...
It works on froyo roms, not gb.
G2X
It works on Froyo and leaked GB but NOT CM7. This is the one thing that i REALLY need working correctly. You can never tell when it will disconnect and even though on the screen it says it is connected. Very Frustrating to having to stop BT on the phone and then restart it just to get BT working again. Also something i have to turn off the BT and then BT on the phone as well to get it working properly.
On CM7 i found that the BT stack is much stable. It never gave me a problem but the only thing that doesn't work is the A2DP.
Any CM (AOSP GB) based ROM does not have A2DP working. I believe it connects, but no audio comes out. Stock 2.2 or the leaked 2.3 G2x ROMs have worked perfect for me, connecting to 2 different stereo BT headsets and my cars stereo BT with no problems.
OK, I flashed back to my stock backup that I had made before flashing, and the media option did not show up in the BT settings, I also had the same issue with the CM7 roms not actually playing through the BT. I will try the GB leak. I really appreciate the replys.
note: I installed the GB leak and have the same thing that I had in Froyo, no option for media. I guess I'll just have to wait for CM7 to get it ironed out.

Mine usually works. I'm running Bionix2 but it also worked on the factory ROM. I have a 2010 Camry. There are times when I hang up the phone where the A2DP doesn't work. I have to stop the car, turn it off and restart the car. Sometimes I need to reboot the phone as well.

So far so good.

Looking for ROM for perm rooted evo shift

I really do not care if it is butt ugly, I just want a ROM that works with the phone's features:
examples that I can think of:
USB -- able to connect to PC as a usb drive
WiMax -- able to connect to the Sprint WiMax network. That is why I bought the phone in the first place.
3G data -- it is so slow that if it doesn't work I really dont care
built in keyboard -- if that doesnt work what is the point of having this phone?
bluetooth -- I have an A2DP headset that I want to be able to use for music & phone calls
i need it to work with the GPS / Navigation software
i would like to search and get apps from the Market
So far I have tried the following and they do not meet that bar:
Evervolv nightly 10-26-13
Evervolv release 3.2.0.p1
CM 7.2.0
This phone has been out forever, can anyone point me to a ROM that does this?

I have been working with SupremeSense XII for the past few days:
Somewhere in the rooting process, my data profile settings got messed up, but the ROM let me update my data profile and that is all taken care of.
So far, I can report that Wifi works as expected. So does 3G.
I have not had the chance to test the WiMax yet, because even though I am in the "best" coverage area I get zero bars of signal in my apartment.
(Added the folloiwng 10/31/13) Last night I was able to connect, get an ip and open a webpage on WiMax while I was at work. Outside here at home the signal says poor??? I walked all around the building, and it never changed. (end of new info)
I was able to pair with my old phone using bluetooth and transfer over all of my contacts. I haven't had a chance yet to use my headset.
Although the Supreme Sense ROM has an option to take screen shots by pressing the power button and home button simultaneously, I am not coordinated enough to do it. aScreenshot seems to be working fine for that.
I was able to get a voicemail widget on the main screen but it does not seem to show if I have any messages waiting.
I was able to put a missed call counter on the main screen, but I have not missed any calls yet to see if it works, lol.
I have a gmail counter on the home screen and the unread message counter works great.
SMS Unread Count installs but it crashes when I try to put it on the home page.
I like to have a different ringtone for any calls that come in that are not in my contact list. I was able to easily accomplish this using Group Ringtone Lite.
I have the phone underclocked using SetCPU.
WiFi Ruler and WiFi Power saver work like a charm.
So, thank you very much for the advice! The only thing I have thrown at this so far that doesn't work is SMS Unread Count!
