I just got this beautiful tablet and I was wondering if there's any app to take notes in school?
Thanks in advance.

Check THIS post where the OP talks highly about a note taking app.

Note taking app
I recommend Beautiful Notes. I tried out several an this was the best that I found. It's available in the Market - couple of bucks I think.

Thank u guys.

I just thought that I would mention that in the Amazon AppStore the free app of the day is Handrite Note which is usually $2.99 and is free just for today.
Cheers...

(1) Buy an adonit jot stylus. It is the best one in the market. Feels just like a pen on paper.
(2) Get either ezpdf or repligo pdf. Either one of these allow you to hand write directly into the pdf file.
(3) Download the this pdf file that I made. It's got 100 pages of lined notebook paper.
(4) Write notes directly into the pdf file I linked in step 3 with the adonit jot stylus from step 1 and either of the pdf editors from step 2.

[Q] Google Reader for side-loaded PDFs?

Is it possible to get side-loaded PDFs to show up in Google Reader?
I have ezPDF Reader (free in Amazon Appstore a while ago) but it's not as clean a UI as Google Reader
For that matter can anyone get it to load side-loaded EPUB. As far as I can tell you cannot.
I use repligo for pdf.

Doesn't Aldiko Book Reader do it ?
Maybe you misunderstand me. I'm not looking for an alternative - I already have ezPDF, which is fine - I'm looking to see if there's a way to get PDFs visible in the Google Books app.
I'm assuming not.

So the only way to get books into this is to actually *gasp* purchase them?
I was looking at a few books to purchase on there a bit ago.. wow... expensive... come on... lower the prices ... there is no need for them to be that much. lol

That's not what bothers me. I have a number of tech PDFs that I'd like to use. Right now I'm using ezPDF, but it has it's issues. And I really like the bookshelf motif in Google Books.

I was being sarcastic. I searched the whole T.F. directory tree last night looking for where they might store the .pdf and I couldn't find it either. Don't know where the files are actually kept?
I'd like to import some stuff in there as well because it just looks "cleaner"

As I student, how I can make use off?

Hi everyone, I want to buy this tablet very soon ~ any way, I'm interested in a feature that will determine whether to buy it or not
;

Can I download a PDF books (about 1000 paper) and use s-pen to add notes and highlight things, then leave and go back and find all data I add there.
Repeat the question but put PowerPoint instead of PDF, thank you.

For pdf, you can achieve this with ezpdf amongst others. For PowerPoint, you probably will have to convert to pdf before annotating.
But both can definitely be done.

Buy it!
I am a student too. I bought the note just for school, but I use it now for watching movies, calls etc.
The best thing for me as student is the s note app. I take the pen and note just like a pepper book. It is amaizing. It is like u have just one book and everything u need is in there when u study for exams I love it for my use

Here's what I use. Not a student anymore but wish I had this when I was.
Dropsync - Setup a dropbox account and buy and SD card and then use Dropsync to do a FULL sync of Dropbox to your tablet for your notes/PDF books, etc. Dropsync will also automatically upload any updated files.
ezPDF - Annotate PDF files.
Polaris - Annote office files. I have other office apps, but this is the best for annotating documents.
S-notes- I use S-notes how I would use scrap paper, short documents, small notes, ideas, brainstorming etc.
LectureNotes - This is what I use as a notebook - better note taking capabilities. If you set it to a dropsync folder it will also sync your files into Dropbox and you can view them as a PNG file if you look in that folder. Dev also mentioned they may be willing to add an automatic export to Evernote feature which would make this a killer handwritten note app.
Total app costs I think are <$10 and will be the best money you spend. Everyone will be jealous. Whenever I'm at a conference and sit next to someone with an iPad they want to know how I'm doing what I do on my tablet!

Using Polaris office you can annotate powerpoint without converting to pdf.

well im a also student, so here is my experience.
I primarily use repligoPDF to view my pdf (usually in ppt format which i then converted into pdf thru polaris office). so instead of printing out my slides then attend class to annotate, i can simply download and annotate there on my tablet.
As for regular note taking, i use LectureNote for general class note taking. This app is THE BEST for this tablet and waaaaay better then s note. You can choose different colors to write in and the pages scroll down instead of flipping like s note (which is so much easy to view). Not to mention there is also auto scrolling in which once you to write to a certain area on the bottom of the screen, the app automatically scrolls down for you. Dont have to flip a page anymore.
After all that, you can also download Dropbox and dropbox sync (which i recently discover) and EASILY sync your notes to dropbox and view it from ANYWHERE.
dropbox sync(paid version since free version only allow upload up to 5mb per doc) basically allows you to create 2 folders, one on your tablet and one on your dropbox, and the whenever there are changes made it automatically updates/uploads the changes to the cloud storage. That way, all your notes will be backup and assessable anywhere for additional reading or if you want to print it out (despite having a tablet and going green on printing out note for note taking, i still find using print-out version for studying for exams is more natural)
I havent play around with using word or excel, but from my previous TF700(with keyboard) experience, andriod arent really made for word or excel at the moment. you certainly can open up docs and excel files to edit, but i can assure you that it feels weird. You will prolly have better luck using a comp for that anyways since tablets are really ment for on-the-go-access(mostly viewing) without the bulkiness of a laptop and doesnt really replace a laptop.
Hope this helps!

IMHO Adobe PDF reader works fine! You can add comments, Text, freepainting. Highlight.
I use FolderSync to connect to my College Samba Server.
Btw. Is there a Way to screem record what you Do on a Android Tablet?

Can Lecture Notes work in multiscreen? Or are we hopeful we will get more available apps for multiscreen when we get Jellybean like we've seen in some of the Note 2 videos?

More's the shame. LN is a fantastic app and beats the socks off of Snote. AFAIC the only real plus to SN is multiscreen. I quit using it day one.

Hello is would this tablet be good for drawing?

hey i have a nexus7 and its okay but the drawing apps are so laggy with a stylus. Are there some good drawing/painting apps for this thing without much lag? Also has anyone found a 32gb on sale anywhere?

i personally haven't used many drawing apps other than snote, but that being said snote is a great app for simple drawing and there is little to no lag when using the stylus. I use it in class when taking notes to draw diagrams and such. You can select between different tools such as: pen, pencil, highlighter, and paintbrush which can also be pressure sensitive. I have owned this for about two months now and have nor regretted it once.
This 10.1 pen is great for drawing I ya the following paid aapps sketch pro and sketch book and ininfinity design, ask where really detailed drawing apps. Highly recommend giving them ago

Go check in the General section. There's a thread with posted sketches.. FYI, I don't think digital equipment can replace physical (analogue basically) art at the moment, but it's pretty ***king great if you're doodling and stuff (or doing cartoon sketches and not super detailed art pieces).
Any tablet with wacom digitizer is great for drwaing

PowerPoint app that will view/edit presenter's notes?

Just got my Note on clearance as WM is getting ready for the 2014 model. I plan to use it in Paramedic school for note taking etc.
Our teacher lets us download his PPs before class, and I'm looking for an app that will let me view the presenter's notes as well as edit them with my own. I've tried quite a few office apps and can't find what I'm looking for. Kingsoft will let me add a note of my own, which is nice, but I really need to be able to see and edit the teacher's notes.
I may already have the answer with Kingsoft or Polaris or Office Suite, but if so I ain't seeing it. Any body have some suggestions?

Haven't had a chance to use it but the Quickoffice app in the Play Store is supposed to allow that.

Yeah, I've tried that one too. If it's in there I can't figure out how to make it work.

Office Suite Pro
I use Office Suite Pro on the Note 10.1, and love it. You can easily edit notes on a PowerPoint slide by dragging the "notes" bar up from the button of the screen. It's$15 for the full app and worth every penny.
Hope this helps,
Nate
I would post a link to the app, but don't have enough posts on xda...
I had just downloaded OfficeSuite Pro to give it a shot when your post popped up. It does exactly what I was looking for. Thanks for the suggestion though!

Kno Textbook app opinions.

I'm not a student. But I've done some experimenting with Kno. The thing I'm liking is that it's use of an overlay rather than annotating PDFs directly allows taking notes even with secured PDFs. The down side is it seems to lose the existing index when it imports.
I've been looking for the appropriate folders to add to foldersync so I can back things up. Not sure I've found everything.
Who has used this extensively? Any cautions?
Sent from my GT-N8013 using Tapatalk 4
Kno stores bought books as well as imported pdfs in /storage/sdcard0/Android/data/com.kno.textbooks
I just started using it 2 days ago and its better than adobe but eats alot of ram/cpu
Waitng to see how will IBM imrove it after it had bought it
