Dev help/skype - Eee Pad Transformer Themes and Apps

I found an old skype apk that ahs the advanced settings to enble video calling. It tried to work, made a call but video never initialized, did have call audio though... After that it logs me out. Cant log back in. Wondering if a developer could take a look at it and posibly fix it or everyone.
Heres the apk for everyone

AFAIK it's a driver issue between Skype and Nvidia. It would be good to see a working version.

Latest Skype update just added video calling for our transformers!!!!!!!!!

Agree, tested it and video call works.

My transformer is complete. Skype video calls now works.

Yahoo video

Has anyone figured out how to make yahoo video messenger work from their ego to MAC or pc? I can hear the person on the other end but can't see their webcam.

I call my wife from my evo on both our mac and pc with no issue
Using video? Is there a trick to it?
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
yes video and audio comes through just fine we use it when im out on the road alot and seems to work pretty good for being in beta and no no trick to it just load up the yahoo then click on the person you want to vid call and click vid call should be it.
That's crazy. I'll have to try it again. It has never worked for me but I haven't tried it in a while. My son lives out of the state and I talk to him on Skype but I was hoping there would be a phone to computer program I could use so I didn't have to be home for the calls.

it still does not work.
works fine for me as well.
here are the two files ive been using install both but only update the video add on try that and report back.
You have to make sure the PC is using the newest version of yahoo as well V10 or above I think
Earlier someone asked if it worked with MAC. I tried but still does not work but i will try the apk from here.

Video calls

Guys, how can I make a video call with the Sensation?

I would imagine it's no different than any other phone... Just use a video calling app. Qik, oovoo, tango, yahoo, et al.

Thanks mate! I thought that the function is integrated within HTC dialer.
It would be nice to see a way to make regular 3G video calls. I mean these video calls every non-smartphone device with a front camera can do over 3G. The only known android phone that implements this is the Galaxy S.
Yes, that would actually be great. Is there a way of making regular 3G video calls?

No video calling and Microsoft just bought them out. I doubt we'll see it soon unfortunately.

tango, qik and fring allow you to make video calls over 3g...

I downloaded Skype and I haven't figured out how to make a video call yet (just voice). I'm guessing I have to use the Qik app that came with the phone...problem is not many of my friends use Qik...they use Skype. Kinda disappointing

As stated above, Skype does not support video calls for mobile yet. I heard they are working on it, but who knows how long it will take with Microsoft taking over. It'll show up on WP7 before we see it at this point.

You sure he doesn't have a custom Rom on his mt4g? Cause tango for me works perfect.

If you go to Skype's website it says that mobile video calling will be available for Verizon's LTE 4g network soon. I hope it's not exclusive just to Verizon users.

HTC Video Calling

I've searched and found no results for this so I appologize if it's been mentioned. When I open the "people" there is a "video call" tab. Is it possible to use this feature?

I don't know of anyone that has been able to use it.. you probably need someone with a sensation or Thunderbolt in your contacts

I have people with thunderbolts in my contacts who also have that video call option, but nothing comes up.

Gingerbread is going to have Skype video calling built in. It should start arriving on the 30th.

alot of people actually believe that to be a fake "leak"
Now what about Google talk video chat? I have it, and it shows a camera next to my name, but doesn't show my fiance's as having video capabilities when I look at her name on my list. We both are running the same ROM and when looking at her list she has a camera next to her name but not mine. We both have it checked to allow video chat in the preferences.

i think it only works on some roms. I see the same thing when testing a chat from pc to phone and the pc will initially see the video but once initiated it will say the device isnt currently supported

GTalk

Anyone have issues connecting video chat from your Transformer to someone using a desktop? Video chat seems to work fine with someone on another tab or cell phone.

For me, the problem is always for the person on the browser. tablet to phone/tablet/toaster....no problems.
Havent really looked around to see what the issue was. Ill start now that i know it wasnt just my tinkering lol

Skype on TF300T

HI all,
I have a problem with Skype on my Tf300T : my friends can see me with my webcam, but i can't see them.
My screen only display my webcam (i see myself and not my friends)...
How to correct that and see my friends ? Thanks
Have you tried using Google Talk to video chat. That's what I use and I think it works much better than Skype.
As for why your friends cannot see you, make sure your front facing camera is enabled.

I find using putting the camera on, then off then on again makes it work. It happens to me when sending, receiving and changing the camera. Just press the button to send then, press it off, and on again...same with them. It's an annoying issue, my Skype sometimes forces a reboot too...I wish I'd not 'upgraded' to 4.2. Hope this helps.

It's great. If all of your friends already have a Google Talk account then you're good to go. It gives you 3 options. Text, voice chat, or video chat. Very nice app indeed.
